Talare yawned widely as she walked up the path leading to the weyr. Her blue tunic and leggings durty from the road dust, but all and all she didnt mind. With a wide yawn she streched her arms above her head and gave a joyus laugh. She spun herself in a circle. She didnt know why, but today was a grand day, and she just felt so alive! The sun shown clearly through the bright blue sky, warming her shoulders as a wind, lightly scented by wild flowers wafted through the air. Talare smiled brightly, and there was a little joy in her steps as she kept forth. Her dark raven tresses trailing behind her.
After she came to a bend in the road, she desided she must take a rest. Her legs where growing stiff from walking and a short break would do them and her stomach some good. She found a nice patch of greens and ploped her self down, and sighed with contentment. She pulled from her belt pouch a roll and some cheese, a meal fit for someone on the road. She ate quickly, and leaned back on her elbows. The clouds in the sky were puffy and white, and fun to watch on days like today. Her spirit was so full of jouvilty that she pulled out her pipe and began to play.
A merry melody escaped her fingers, just a little tune of her own making. Often times her finger would dance over the holes and play music of their own accord and sometimes that was when her best music was composed. However this was an older tune of hers, of playing as a child and running through medows. Times in which she could get away from the tasks of tending to the heard and runner beasts and be by herself to play. Slowly her fingers slowed and the song ended. Talare smiled, pleased with herself and this day and layed the pipe across her lap, should another tune over take her.

Both Kyira & Ferris paused, hearing the pipes. With so many of the journeyman harpers also being candidates on the sands Kyira could not for the life of her figure out where the sound was coming from. Likewise Fellis was curious. The only pipes the little green had heard before was Kyira's own, seldom as that was. Kyira prefering to sing herself only got out her pipes to practice & see the rapture in her firelizard's eyes. Momentarily distrcted, Fellis popped between to see where it was.
Trilling nearly in pitch, descanting over the pipes, the young firelizard appeared over the raven haired piper. With a flap of her thin wings Fellis angled in for closer look at the girl's face. Satisfied that she could report back sufficiently, the little green took off between once more before anything could be done.
Returning to Kyira, Fellis caught Sisao's imagry of impending fun & distracted once more relayed that instead of the ravenhaired girl. Kyira, thinking that the music must be coming from the same way they were headed laughed & continued following her little green. No one could guess if Fellis would remember what she saw or rely it properly later. Until then, the young healer was oblivious that anythign was misconstrued.

Talare yawned softly and she thought just before she had put the pipes down on her lap she had heard a soft trill. But looking around now she saw no animal which could have made the sound. Talare was framilure with the legend of firelizards, but she had only met a few. Coming to the weyr however, she was sure she would see alot more. But there where none here now. She shruged a bit and layed back on the soft plush grass. A smile crossed her face, after all she must have been hearing things, such a silly notion in itself. Perhaps her pipes had made the noise? A bur or blade of grass having got lodged inside could explain it. Yet upon examination of her pipes the air way was clear.
Talare laughed to herself as she laid back once more, crossing her feet and placing her arms behind her head. She was just being silly today. Yet...the sound of her laughter seemed to change pitch as it echoed across the medow....and there it was again. Raising a quizical eye brow she sat up and looked down the path. But from where she was sitting, she was in the corner of bend, so she couldnt see very far down. Distantly the laughter trailed on and she was sure someone was approching.
With a second laugh of her own she hoped to her feet, she was close to the weyr so hopefully this meeting would hail her someone to talk to on the rest of travle. With a small hop in her step the harper head off down the path towards the sound of the laughing voice.

((woo... things are coming together I think))
C'tari stepped out into the light. He blinked momentarily before heading off to where his dragon intended to land. He passed by Talare nodding politely. You're a bronze rider C'tari, you should know the people that live here. He scolded himself. He made a note to stop and say hello if she was still there when he wandered back this way. So many people he still didn't know.
Sisao blinked between and appeared within the cupped hand of Feronamth who was already starting to move fairly quickly. He would go out to the ocean first and take a quick dip before his oiling. He sent this message to Sisao who seemed to think it quite the good idea. She chirruped happily and then looked for her new friend, who hadn't seemed to have followed them. She trilled and popped in and out of between a few times. She did this so often even Feronamth worried about her popping out in the wrong place. But eventually she saw the little green and swooped down and relayed the message of a fast flight, a quick dip and followed up by a good oiling. She also added that there would be food, although no one had told her so, she had every intention of getting some.

((*wry grin* Times like these a RP map & miniatures would come in handy. Well. No sense being strangers!))
The dragonrider was far enough ahead that Kyira did not see him; her attention on her own little green. The sudden appearance of the other green startled her momentarily before the two little ones had an excited conversation. Obviously this firelizard was getting her own all wound up about something, & that was why Fellis was bringing Kyira along. She wondered what it could be.
Fellis crooned plaintatively, obviously asking permission to go ahead with her friend. Images of the lolling ocean water filled Kyira's inner eye. Laughing, the young healer could only oblige. "Go ahead. A dip does sound good. I'll be along as soon as my inability to fly allows."
Knuckling the firelizard's head affectionately Kyira beamed lmost maternally as her green took off after the other, shielding her eyes against the sun. When she could no longer see them she returned her gaze to finding a land based way to follow them. Rounding a corner she spied another female. Are those pipes in her hand? Curious & eager she slipped into a slight jog.
"Hello!" She called merrily. "Were you the one playing pipes a bit ago?"

Sisao trilled excitedly at Fellis following her. She liked being a leader. For a green, she could be as bossy as a gold. But she liked Fellis immensly, then again, she liked everyone almost all at once. She sent an image to Fellis of the inside of Feronamth's great hand. A good safe riding place beneanth the dragon. They could perch on his fingers and pretend to fly as fast as he flew. It was a thrill she had discovered two days out of the egg and had never grown tired of it and was now doubly excited to share it with a fried.
Feronamth obliged her coming by opening his hands up a bit more than usual and let her know that he was ready for her arrival. He opened his other hand for the guest should she decide to join Sisao in her games. He warned them that the flight was short and they had better make haste if they wished to actually acompany him.
Sisao waited no longer. She blinked between and rested in her favorite spot. Once she had herself settled she spread her wings and caught the wind coming in and around Feronamth's great fingers. It tossed and played with the little lizard, but she loved it all the same, well anchored as she was and safe below her giant friend. Even if he did threaten to eat her now and again. They both knew he didn't mean it.
C'tari found himself very quickly where he needed to be, yet his dragon hadn't even made it to the water yet. He took this brief moment of being outside in the open to stretch and yawn and begin preparing everything he would need to properly oil Feronamth.

A questioning trill escaped Fellis momentarily as she eyed the dragon's massive forepaw warily. Glancing at Sisao, the hatchling was reasured of the safety & forgot her fear in favor of playing this new game. With mimicing actions she emulated Sisao as if a mirror image to "fly" in Feronamth's clawed hand.

Feronamth felt the two little greens in his hands and with a bugle made a few quick manuevers and aerobatics to the shrill keening of Sisao. He dove and dipped with awsome speed and power. Then very quickly, reached the water. With one last quick bank to the right he let them both know it was time to depart as he would soon be submerged.
Sisao blinked between to a spot on above the water for her own quick dip before sending the message to Fellis that they should blink back to C'tari before Feronamth got there, that way they could get oiled first.

Talare smiled to the woman who had just rounded the bend. A questioning look crossed her face as she seemed surprised to see the harper sitting there. Her lithe fingers dusted back her raven locks as she slolwy stood to greet the woman. "Aye, these are pipes. " She chuckled merrily. "Yes I was playing, Did you hear it? I hadnt thought the sound would carry that far but then again there isnt much ambiant noise." She grinned and extended her hand out to the new comer. "were are my Manners, Im Talare. Are you from the Weyr?"

With a aknowledging whistle Fellis popped between with Sisao. The next message was a little confussing to her. The oiling made sense, but not the strange human. She chir-rurped & responded with a confusing mix of bewilderment & oilings from Kyira. The little green had not had any other human contact since hatching.
Kyira laughed merrily. When she laughed her head naturally leaned back, making it easier to crane her neck to look t the taller Talare, something she was so used to doing Kyira had no notion she did it. "Pipes have a way of carrying regardless; especially when one's hungry for music." Her sea green eyes glistened merrily. "Not a tune I recognise... are you recently come from Harper Hall? A new piece perhaps?" There was hope & excitement coloring her tone & eyes. The Healer missed new music.
"I'm of the Weyr now." A rueful yet impish look spread across her face. "JourneyWoman Kyira from the Healer Hall. I was flown in the day after the mating flight, and truth be told I've not met much of anyone since then. The closest I was to meeting people was during an event Trader Imurin held where I found Fellis' egg, but I've been so busy with her since, and most everyone else is so busy with candidates & the hatching & now all the dragonets from the hatching that we've managed to miss each other entirely!" Her laugh floated in her own amuzement, hinting at a high vocal range belied by the more alto sound of her speaking voice. She tossed her long braid back over her shoulder as she laughed. It certainly had been busy at the weyr since she arrived!
"Fellis was leading me somewhere..." Her eyes got a slight far-away look as if thinking hard or being otherwise distracted by something. "Cool water & warm sun... I think a dip in the ocean?" She looked puzzled for a moment then it passed. She smiled warmly at Talare & tilted her head. "Care to join us?"

Sisao tried to understand her friend but could not. She once again tried to explain C'tari, but really he was trapped somewhere between a large bronze dragon and meat rolls in her erratic mind. She darted up and without warning went between and arrived just above her bonded's shoulder.
C'tari waved her away from landing on him. The tunic he was wearing was not thick enough to withstand her sharp talons. Instead he directed her to sit next to the first batch of oil he was intending to use. It had been some time since he had oiled his dragon, mostly because the great bronze, now at his full growth, hardly needed it. It was still a good practice once in a while to help bring out his deep colors and gaurd against cracks from the cold of between and itchy peeling hide.
Feronamth finished his bathing and bugled to let his rider know he was returning straight so that he would be plenty dry in time for the oiling. The water felt good, the air is clear. Thread falls soon.
C'tari was a bit distracted by his strange comment about thread. Everyone knew it would fall again soon and they would be sent to fight it. His heart pounded at the thought. There were always casualties during a fall and injuries. His own dragon had thread score. We fly well are you worried old friend?
The bronze dragon cooed his rider, we do fly well. Others are approaching. From his much higher vantage point Feronamth could see the two women heading towards thier location half way between the beach and the weyr.
(I have no concept of distance. xD For all I know the beach is like miles away... oh well. xP For all intents and purposes, lets just say it is quite close.)

((*nods* I think we get to make it up since there's no map. That or they managed to take the shortest route there. I figure the girls can't be too far behind C'tari too.))
At the sight of the familiar oils used by those in the weyr in her playfellow's mind's eye Fellis squawked happily & persued. Coming out of between the smaller green drew up short with a shrill cry of surprise upon seeing C'tari instead of Kyira. Instantly she departed between again.
Fellis appeared in front of Kyira, chittering in confusion & frustration even as she dived for Kyira to make use of her usual perch around the healer's neck. Kyira found herself engrossed in an effort to decypher the hatchling's flow of images while keeping the excited green from choking her too tightly from overwound emotions. "A dragonclaw cage?" Kyira scrunched up her face as images toppled over each other in her mind's eye. "Fellis, what are you showing me? The other green is being oiled?" Trilling questioningly, the little green lifted herself up to shove her face into Kyira's. She laughed. "Of course you may be oiled, little one! I've got oil right here, with everything else."
The healer patted her ever-present pouch & the little green firelizard settled down. Only then did Fellis notice the ravenhaired girl. She chir-uped in surprise & mixed memory, nudging to Kyira the forgotten message of the girl playing pipes earlier."So you did go to see! And forgot to tell me about it!" Fellis looked reprimnded but Kyira merrily rubbed her head knot. "It's ll right, love. We've not practiced it much. Is there anything or anyone else you've forgot to mention?"
As if in thought the little green head tilted, ondering. A trill escaped her as she remembered. C'tari's face loomed sharply into focus in Kyira's mind as her little green shared the image-memory. The journeywoman sucked in her breath, unused to such a clear image from her firelizard. "Your friend's friend?" Fellis nodded, rubbing her head against Kyira's cheek. "Then let's go meet him & you & your friend can get oiled at the same time!"
Turning to Talare she flashed a dazzling smile. "Come on! There's firelizard's to be oiled!" Gleefully she grabbed the other's hand without waiting for a response & ran them to the beach. She was ever the impulsive one. It was like being at Fort... being with a Harper again. She had missed the comraderie she had found there.

Talare smiled and before she knew it was grabbed by the hand heading towards the beach. She couldnt help but laugh as she ran, it felt good to run her long legs falling easily to pace with the other womans. Besides...a firelizard! She'd only ever seen a few in her life...and by the grace of the gods had been graced with an egg and was happily awaiting its arrival. It was still soft yet but hardening a little more everyday in its pot by the hearth.
Her long raven hair caught the breeze and belowed out behind her, tresses falling in her eyes every now and then. She giggled again as they approched the beach and slowed her pace as she slid down the slope. "Oh my! I havent ran like that in quite some time!" she grined and threw her hands out and twirled in the sea breeze. "Lovely day too." She eyed the sky warily for but a moment before remembering that thred fall was not due for awhile yet.
She turned her bright blue eyes on her new companoin. "So where is the firelizard that demands our attention." She grined and looked around, taking a quick moment to pull her long locks into a thick braid, as not to tangle against the gusts of cool wind coming off the waves.

Kyira scrinched her face up contemplating. The expresion actually looked cute on her. "Yes, in a way. Fellis here want's to be oiled because her new friend is being oiled but she keeps skirting something about a bronze, but I've not seen him before." Fellis' jumbled images showed Feramanth well enough, Kyira simply did not consider that her green was playing with a dragon. Because her eyes were on her taller companion, not the locale to where they had run. Not yet anyway.
But Fellis was looking around. Not that the little green had need to. She had just been here. With impatient noises and pullings on Kyira's tunic Fellis prodded the young woman to where C'tari & Sisao were. Laughing in her firelizard's actions & just the sheer beauty of the day -for neither Fort nor her family's seaside hold were prone to crystal clear skies like this, with the tempurature a comfortable warm with a gentle cool breeze. So it was not until she was nearly upon him that she noticed the dragonrider.
Her laughter caught in her throat as she blushed in embarrasment. At least until her natural gregariousity kicked in. "Oh! Hello!" Fellis landed beside Sisao, chattering an explanation - probably about what took them so long. "So you're who that green looks to! She & Fellis seem to have been playing together all day." With a smile she took him in. Her eyes alighted on the dragonrider's knots & her eyes widened as she did a double-take. "Dragonrider?... But that means..."
Turning towards the water the journeywoman did a doubletake seeing the bronze dragon in the air above flying towards them. "Oh my... Fellis did mean a bronze dragon..." Her voice trailed off as she watched the magnificent beast fly, absently acquiescing to Fellis' desire to be oiled. Absently she withdrew her oil flask from the pouch at her side, sitting down to allow Fellis to perch in her lap. Her skirts would get oily but she did not mind.
The scent of the oil as she opened the jar brought the easily distracted healer's head from the clouds. She rubbed Fellis' head ridge & grinned at the dragonrider, as if nothing had happened. "JourneyWoman Kyira from HealerHall. Pleased to meet you."
((we are close enough to the water... right? sweatdrop I hope so.

C'tari looked up at Feronamth's urging and saw the two women approaching. He smiled in his sly way as the women looked lost or... he wasn't sure.
Feronamth saw Kyira look up to his form and bugled a hello as he took the last few turns before landing. He rumbled as his feet hit the ground looking at the barrel of oil warming in the sun.
Sisao realized she had missed her chance to get oiled and dipped her nose in the big barrel thinking it would somehow help. Then she saw Fellis sitting on Kyira's lap and meandered over to Kyira sitting on the ground in front of her, chirruping and asking if she could sit with Fellis.
He smiled at the actions of both his dragons and even brighter at the journeyHealer. I'm C'tari, and this is Feronamth. He is indeed, bronze and I've been getting all sorts of reports about your little green from him today. He watched Sisao pacing in front of Kyira. Though I'm not sure what she is more interested, the oil or your Fellis.
The bronze dragon nodded his head, his eyes swirly a soft happy green at being introduced. He nudged his rider getting happily impatient about the imenent oiling.
The fire lizard heard her bonded talking about her and took to the air in an impressive display of aerobatics.
Now if I could just convince her to help oil Feronamth then she would get plenty of oil on herself without me having to do it. He winked at Kyira. Then sudden realized his manners he nodded a hello to the other woman, but Feronamth grumbled and nudnged him again and he turned laughing to grab the oil brush and dip it in the basket to start oiling his giant companion.
((because I'm a bronzerider we should make this RP occuring one week before Ariath rises... just so the outcome or talk about it won't conflict with the actual RP in progress))
