"Rosie game," Carlise told Kisala knowledgably, and was going to explain about the spinning and the falling down (the best parts, after all) but then he was distracted by Melchy's loud salutations. Hm. In this strange creature's region of the world, enthusiastic shouting and arm-waving must be the standard form of greeting. Of course! He waved his arms back, less wildly because people didn't like getting hit and he didn't much care for getting dropped.
"HI!" He put his arms back down. "Merry Chrissman!"

Kisala blinked. She didn't know anything about a Rosie game, but before he could explain the details of it to her, the boy seemed to be distracted by another little one yelling and waving at him. She didn't recognize that little boy either, but considering the only other person she really knew was Iggy, she wasn't too surprised.
She was starting to get a bit restless, though, and the shiny tinsel caught her eye again. She wondered what -other- shiny treasures might be cast about?

”Merry Chrissmas you too!” Melchy grinned when Carlisle responded to his greeting, then turned to look at Keres. “I’ma go talk t’that one,” he said seriously, “maybe bring him back over here? We’s all littler than those ‘uns.” He jerked his hand in the direction of Harper and Manny, and a very tall woman who looked vaguely familiar. Hmm…perhaps he’d make a brief detour on his way to visiting Carlisle. Because the very tall beige girl in the strange furry dress looked familiar. And then he remembered the feathery ears.
“Riley?” he asked curiously, getting up and trotting over to look at the sparrow-girl. He only met her once a long time ago, but he was pretty sure that she hadn’t been as big then. Padding over curiously to Riley, he waited a moment, and then promptly began an attempt to clamber up her pants leg. “You’s biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig!” he said enthusiastically, continuing in his attempt to climb all the way up Riley.

Manuela nearly shrieked as the little boy tore up her friend's leg. She jumped back in shock, attempting to analyze what exactly had happened. "Riley, who's this little guy?" she finally managed, poking a finger at his ears. Curious, she unfurled her tail and snaked it toward Riley, eventually curving it to make a little tease for the infant.

Chris shook his head at the question. He hadn't gotten any gifts! But that might be because he had broken the tree, he thought logically. "Broke," he repeated, as if that explained it all.
He then turned, watching Melchy leave and start to climb a big person. He had no idea who the big person was. For that matter, he had no idea who ANYONE was and Antony was off dancing with a stranger.
He looked at the sphinx girl again, figuring it was safest to stay right where he was.

Harper shrugged, "Iuno, not like they are doing it any good.." He muttered, glancing back at Manny and Riley. "Looks like Carlisle got to you first, though. Fine, little dude! Be a stealer!" He teased, grinning at the baby.
Sunny had since hidden in a corner in the kitchen, arms crossed over his chest, and apparently barely audibly mumbling to himself. "At least it sounds like the kids have stopped trying to murder each other." He eventually said, though still more talking to himself than anything.

"Sorry," Carlisle said without any remorse. He wasn't too sure what he was apologizing for anyway, so he smiled back. "Rosie game," he said, looking back at Kisala, "Fun. Sala and me, dance around, sing 'Rosie, rosie, pocket posie, ashes, ashes,' then fall down!" He nodded quite solemnly, then followed Kisala's line of sight to the tinsel as best he could. Instead, he ended up looking at a particularly fancy ornament, some kind of glass globe with Santa inside. Interpreting her gaze as curiousity rather than a restless urge, he told her, "I can't know, he gotted in by himselves!"

Kisala blinked, confused at both things he was talking about until she realized that the first was a game she'd seen some of the little ones at the Temple play, and the second was a reference to an ornament on the tree. She giggled,
"Aw, you're so cute!" she patted his head and then set him down, taking him by the hand,
"Rosie it is, then!"

The sphinx-child nodded again to Chris's answer and decided to give up on trying to fully understand whatever the heck "chris'mas" was and the whole deal on presents; she'll just pinch one of the Rabbits for information until they gave it to her. yeah... That sounded like a good plan, she thought, and she gave herself a confirming nod before looking to where Mel was... or well, had been.
Keres raised a dark brow at the empty spot beside her. Where did he gooo...?
Within seconds her roving eyes narrowed into slits when she spotted the cat-boy clambering up some unknown person in a crowd of other unknown persons. White sleeved arms crossed high up on her chest and she glared over at her so called "friend" before almost literally screaming across the way to him. "YOU SUCK, MEL!"

Antony finished his dance, bowing politely to his partner before heading back to Chris. "Are you ready to go yet?"
Chris looked at his new friend, then over at Melchy before nodding up at Antony. "Bye bye," he said to Keres, waving and taking Antony's hand, tugging him out the door.

((whooo, now that I finally have time XD;; *dance*))
Taki scampered into the room, dressed up but hating every minute of it. It even seemed as though there had been an attempt to tame his untamable hair, but it was all scruffy again, no doubt the cat boy's own work. Taki went towards the largest group of people, and spotted Melchy, promptly letting out a delighted noise, and beelining towards him. "Melchy!" Then he paused and looked up towards Riley. "Hi Riley!"
Calder stepped through the door a few moments later, decked out in full regalia. The clothing was more like robes, but the tone matched his hair and eyes, all of it accented in gold. He was certainly a little over-dressed. He looked around the room, recognizing most of the children from the English class, the rest of them too young. The only adult in the room he knew was Katrina, and he promptly strode over towards her.
"Katrina... It seems as though I am once again overdressed," he said, chuckling quietly, and hooking his hands on his belt, glancing over to keep an eye on Taki. "I don't know half the people here, I'm afraid..."

"'ey! I'm not a tree, Melchy!" Riley protested as the small cat boy tried to scale her much like godzilla to a 10 story building. After attempting to give his tail a yank to get him off, she blinked and shifted her gaze to her former dancer partner. "Oh uh...This is Melchy," she murmured, either not knowing his full name or not remembering it. Considering they had only met once it was nice she remembered at all. But Riley had always been good with names and remembering faces, perhaps contrary to her seeminly flightly nature. She immediately turned sharply however, feathered ears twitching at her name. She saw Taki and grinned, "Heya Taki!"

He grabbed both of Kisala's hands in his own and promptly started skipping about in a circle, dragging Kisala with him. "Rosie, rosie, pocket posie, ashes, ashes," he sang, as loudly as he could (and also slightly off-key, but that was cute when you were a kid like he was) before falling down and breaking into happy squeals of laughter.
Lixxie watched the group of children quietly. "I think my Carlisle's kidnapped your Kisala," she said to the woman next to her.

((I'm joining in rather late))
Decked out in a new, sparkly dress, Irelia looked picture perfect. It was a big girl dress, one of her first and she was very, very pleased at the shiny rhinestones that decorated her dress.
"I'm bedazzled!" Irelia said, twirling in her dress, her breath hanging in the air like smoke.
"You're too young to get that reference," Asher said grumpily, and knocked on the door. Irelia had been grounded for a very long time, due to her grand plot to throw Taki out of a window and see if he fell on his feet.
The noise coming from behind the door was loud and boisterous, and Asher knocked again. No one came to the door, so he tried the doorknob, and found that it was unlocked.
"Have fun," Asher said quietly, and kissed Irelia on her forehead.
Irelia quivered with excitement. Everyone had grown so much, and there were so many new faces. As Irelia began to recognize her friends, a sliver of doubt flashed through her mind.
"What if they've forgotten me?" Irelia quietly spoke to herself and shook her head. There could be no way that people could forget her.
"Harper! Riley! Hiiiiii!"

Melchy's ears twitched with interest (and slight irritation and ticklishness) when Manny spoke to and poked him, and he turned his head and looked at her, not letting go of his tight hold on Riley, despite her obvious displeasure. Cap'n wasn't there to reprimand him, and he was going to take full advantage of that fact. "Hi!" he said brightly. "I's Melllchy!" He pointed at his chest with his thumb, echoing Riley, and then squeaked with glee and reached out to tug on Manny's tail with one hand.
When another voice he recognized reached his ears, he squealed enthusiastically, let go of Riley with his other hand, and fell promptly on his rear end. ”Taaaaaaaakiiiiii!” he crowed, scrambling to his feet and scampering over to the other cat-boy. “Grawr!” he growled affectionatey, pouncing at Taki in an attempt to knock him over and only succeeding in bumping into the boy’s legs and falling down himself. “How’s you!” he said brightly. “Mer’ Chrissmiss!” he added after a moment’s deliberation. When Keres screamed at him, he put his ears back. “Kereeeeees…” he whined in response. “Nooo! Friends!” he added brightly. Apparently Keres wasn’t as social as he was.
Katrina looked up at a friendly voice and smiled brightly. “Sir Calder!” she said, lifting her empty shot glass in a toast and standing up to sweep a noble bow. “Good afternoon!” she said. “It’s nice to see you,” she added, motioning for him to sit down beside her. “These are…my drinking partners,” she said after a bit of thought. “Everyone, this fine gentleman is Calder. You look marvelous, by the way,” she added with a smile. “Not overdressed at all.”
