Hm...I don't detest and kogals or ganguros, but I guess you could say it may be the difference in the way we dress? Some people think that ganguros try to shy away from japanese tradition because they try to change their look in order to look like an 'american girl'. This is only a theory... sweatdrop

i don't detest them. in fact, i think that they're really cool.
i kinda respect ganguros cos i don't think i could ever pull of that look.

I hate that the Japanese try to dress like us but I love what they come up with...

I haven't really heard of any feuds or don't see much to fight about. Although, I'm not a fan of the style. I really don't like the super dark or orange tans. Then they make it stand out even more with blonde hair or white makeup. It just looks scary but that's only my opinion. I'd never do it but I wouldn't dislike anyone for their style. To me that would seem a bit hypocritical.

i ve heard about a thing that has put some tension between some lolis and ganguros. not sure if it is a specific style or not but there are quite a few girls who would wear short maid like dresses with shiny cloth and headresses (omg the pictures look HORRIBLE) and i guess lolitas were offeneded i guess (don't know why cause they were attempting lolita-ganguro at least to my knowledge) but yay. that's what i've heard about.
i think it looks prety as long as their tan isn't orange, which alot are. but i don't really like tan skin at all. but htey can look really pretty.

I'm naturally rather tan, so i suppose I look like a gangoro lolita without trying. But i don't really like all that white make up that they wear, it kinda contradicts the whole 'cute innocent' look of lolita, well of sweet lolita anyway.

Oh I had read her wrong, I thought she actually meant like those who wear white makeup and I was like "whaaat"?
Sometimes it looks nice though, in less outrageous styles, the white looks nice as a highlighter.
