Feeling the struggle happening within the forest caused a smirk to spread across Dark's face as he placed his hands further into his pockets and started to slowly walk into the darkness that was therein. A strange wind not caused by the moon started to billow his clothes and his scarf as he made his way passing the barrier that was covering around the forest to keep normal adventurers from approaching their death. The creatures still within their respective shadows backed away as he approach leaving him an entrance deeper into the wood.

Ki struggled, trying to escape being unconscious. He forced open his eyes, and moved slightly. He felt something wet and thick, dripping down his forehead. Not even bothering to check it, Ki pushed himself to sit upright, his eyes trying to adjust to the dark again.
He thought of making a small bonfire, but that might attract uninvited guests. Then he even thought of walking back out of the forest, but he have lost his sense of direction.
"Marvelous..Just marvelous."

Dark's body stiffens as the smell of fresh blood wafted past his nostrils. He was getting closer. Or atleast heading in the right direction. It was difficult to find ones way within this labryinth that twisted and turned people in circles till they decade where they stood. It would be only a matter of time before the creatures found their mark. He would have to hurry. Dark's stride picked up only slightly making sure to stay cautious enough not to get lost within a pothole.

Ki is still walking, but minding the possibly seen or detected twigs or broken branches.
But then, there was a crunch, and a growl. Ki could have sworn it didn't come form him.
"Crap."
He didn't turn, instead he walked on to confirm. Again, the crunches of the broken twigs and a growl. With that, Ki confirmed that the beast had found him. Following Ki and fearlessly making noise, of course..who can it be but the beast from earlier.
Ki paused for a moment, before running ahead, to whichever direction. The beast followed him, except that its speed is much faster.

Dark could sense the beasts lust for flesh as it began to stalk Ki. He could feel the hunger coursing through his entire being. He too, wished to partake of the kill but of course, his human side would not let him even if he got close enough. Making sure that Sakura was still with him, he began to actually try to figure out the direction in which Ki was going to and finally found the tracks that were obvious to follow. Now it was my turn to track which was doing the tracking.

* i follow dark and see the tracks he found and finally cluing into what we where looking for*
those look like griffin tracks. i wonder what or who it's chasing.

By the time Ki thought he saw light from a distance, his stamina gave way. Hunger and dehydration soon caught up with him.
Ki forced himself to use any energy left in him, to create a simple fireball out of his right hand, and directed it at the beast.
Whether he missed it or not, Ki didn't know. He was already kneeling on the ground, having a craving for......a candy.

Dark just kept walking on even after a ball of fire whizzed passed his clothes, he continued to head towards Ki at an alarming rate. He stepped down hard into the soft ground creating a wave of shadows to fly up over Ki just the beast poised to strike.

"What.." Ki looked up. "..was that.." He turned around, realising that the beast had stopped, just a few feet away.
The Griffin growled, turning around abruptly. It saw him, the one who disrupted his meal.
It spread its wings, and growled, at a high pitch.
"Ah shoot!" Ki clasped both his ears with his hands, kneeling close to the ground.
Then the Griffin stopped its warcry, and stared deep into the darkness. Into the other opponent.

Dark continued to walk towards the griffen with shadows accumulating behind him growing larger and larger until a huge mass appeared behind him gaping open to show an enormous pair of fangs. As Dark moved so did the shadow until they were upon the griffen.

*well dark 'entertained our guest' i took to the trees trying to get close enough to get Ki away without letting the griffin know. seeing Ki with his ears covered i threw a small rock (i had picked up earlier) hoping to get his attention.*

The griffin's eyes focused, and let its wings folded. It growled, not letting its fear taking over its heart.
It took off, charging ahead towards Dark, and jumped up slightly, so that its claws may reached Dark's legs to disable him.
The small rock hit Ki's head. He looked up, noticing that there's someone on the tree.
He looked over at the griffin who is busy, and slowly made his way to the tree.

Kumori with a stealth like presence settled herself on a tree branch holding her shoulders having the cloak's hood about her head. Her eyes looked dull and tired like that of the dead carefully observing her surroundings. Her jaw tightening and loosening times nipping at the inside of her mouth. Her ears twitched a bit trying to pick up sounds...

Dark's face appeared into a twisted grin as the griffen was upon him and quicker than the eye could follow the shadow behind him flew forward enveloping him and the griffen in one swoop. Then the shadow collapsed to the ground and all was nothing but the sounds of fierce screeching, flesh ripping, and bone crunching noises.

Ki stopped midway to the tree, frozen. The creepy sounds had made him even more alert to his surroundings.
He turned, and stared, at the person who took away the griffin.
"What did you..."
