"Don't worry, I won't eat you. This is my new domain. I've become the guardian of these lands, so I figured I should talk to some of the locals, see what's going on."

Typhoon drowsily woke up a few hours later. Deciding to find out if there were any luminescent mushrooms around from Irene, she slid into the water and out of her tunnel entrance, into the cold but clear pond. She rose to the surface, and drew the scents of the forest over her nostrils, which were slightly over the water. As she did, she could distinguish a new scent. One she was now practically terrified of. Dragon.
"Oh no," she mouthed to no one in particular, then hovered just underneath the water, holding her breath easily, just like a water dragon. She could tell it was a fire-using dragon, so it could easily be one of her own Clan, sent to kill her. She knew she was safe underneath the surface, even if they did see her outline. So there she floated, just waiting and watching for if and when it left.

Typhoon's golden eyes followed the hawk as it landed on the branch.
"What if it works with the dragon!?" she thought frantically, then shook her head crossly. She was going paranoid from all this outcast business. Slowly she lifted her head out of the water, snout first. She inhaled the forest scents, and mainly the hawk's. It had the strong scent of dragon on it.
"Been visiting with a dragon, little hawk?" she thought, staring directly into the hawk's eyes, then slunk back under the water until her outline was barely visible. She kicked down, and swam towards the bottom of the lake. Her tail flicked up and out of the water, then she seemingly disappeared.

Typhoon sat on the bottom of the lake, puzzling over the memory of the dragon scent. It was the same as the one she had smelled when she woke up. Knowing the extreme danger but unable to resist, she swam up to the top. She had to breathe anyway. She broke the surface, took a breath, and sunk below the calm surface to wait and watch. She'd rely on the fact most dragons hated water and her swimming ablities if danger came up.

Typhoon jerked her head around at the sound of a human entering the water. She gave a hiss. "This forest doesn't need the whole of Rekka to come here!" she thought irritably. Whipping around, she dove down to the deepest part of the lake, seemingly a purplish black blur. She knew she didn't want to be discovered, because if she was, her Clan could easily find out where she was hiding.
"Please be just a human," she prayed. If it was just a human, she would probably be fine. But if it was a dragon, she could easily be in a lot of trouble. She knew full well that fire dragons could shift into human form. However, she couldn't just shift and hide herself. She wasn't able to, because she was part water dragon. She now knew that for a fact.

*I see a dragon diving deeper into the water. I try to send a telepathic message. 'Why are you scared of me? I don't want to hurt you or anything. I'd just like to meet you.' I also hear what the hawk said, and say 'I'm no dragon, I'm a dracomorph!' mentally, and quickly before chasing the dragon.*

Typhoon stopped when she heard the message.
"Only a creature of magical power can do that..." she thought, shivering and sending ripples outward from her body. "At least that's one thing I can do."
Swiftly she growled a response.
"No. I don't know who you are, or if you work for anyone." she growled telepathically, then swam further into the depths of the pond. She debated whether or not to close off her mind, a trick she learned to do long ago, but decided against it. There was a good chance she could escape.

The hawk sees some movement of a small mammal near the grass. He flew at it and grabbed it with his talons. He mutters, looking at the now-dead mouse. His human mind didn't want to eat it. His hawkl instincts called that dinner.
