"Mmhm!" He said in a muffled voice through the clump of fur on her tail, laying down on his side and giving a tug of her tail every so often as he raised his head. "Are you hungry?" Shino asked, letting go of his grip on her tail, ears flicking as water got into them.

"Hmm?" Suna hadn't really thought about it, but she supposed a small bite before heading back to her desert home couldn't hurt. "Sure, food sounds good. What kind of animals do you hunt around here?"

"Alright then." He replied, giving a nod then sitting up and stretching in the water. "There's some sort of species of deer, pheasant, hare, rabbit. Alot of things, really. And of course there's fish." Shino said with a gaze over at her, then flicking his tail to get most of the water off. "You can choose whichever one, I know where most of them are found."

"Whatever is easiest to catch I suppose," Suna said, pulling herself back onto dry land. She shook the water out of her fur then proceeded to look up at the sky. The sun was beginning to set low in the horizon. Hmm, I'm going to have to leave soon if I want to get back to my tribe tonight, she thought vaguely to herself before turning back towards Shino with a smile. "I'll let you lead the way again."

"Okay, we'll go and catch us a pheasant then." Shino said with a smile, walking back onto the bank of the lake and giving himself a shake. He then glanced back at Suna, giving a nod and started to walk towards one of the areas of the territory that was cleared of bamboo and instead, had dried out grass that varied in fall colored shades.

"Pretty," Suna remarked before crouching low to the ground. She was in hunting mode now, her eyes throughly scanning the area. Course, might help if she knew what a pheasant was.

"It is, isn't it?" He said quietly, then crouched low to the ground to keep any game animals hat were available where they were from being spooked. His ears twitched as grass brushed against it, making him give an annoyed look but then shake it off, stalking through the grass.

"So, er, what exactly does a pheasant look like?" Suna asked after a few minutes. It usually helped to know what you were hunting for.

"Eh?... Oh! Sorry, I just thought that you would already know." Shino said, ears perking at and an emberassed look coming across his face. "Let me see... A pheasant's a bird that's colored mostly brown, has really long tail feathers, and has a red patch of feathers around both of it's eyes. Then the feathers on it's head are a mixed shade of blue and green." He explained with a smile, tail flicking at a nearby blade of grass.

"What?.... Oh, yeah, those're pheasants." He said with a grin, tail wagging slowly at the sight of something to hunt down and eat. Shino then motioned towards them with a paw and started to stalk through the grass towards the oddly colored birds.

The two foxes surrounded the pheasants on either side, and when Shino gave the signal, the two pounced upon their prey. There were feathers flying everywhere, but each of them had managed to secure a pheasant for themselves. "Haven't had much fowl lately," Suna commented, snapping the bird's neck with ease. "*Itadakimasu."

The sand fox spoke, his voice muffled from the bird and it's feathers, "Neiffer haff I." Shino tightened his grip on the fowl as he nodded with a smile, then resisting the urge to sneeze as one of the longer tail feathers brushed against his nose lightly. He ploped the bird down, spitting out a feather or two out of his mouth from catching the pheasant, and then bit into the bird with a wag of his tail.

Suna plucked a few clumps of feathers out of the dead bird with her teeth before actually biting into the flesh. The meat was pretty good. "Hmm, maybe I'll visit forested areas more often," she mused aloud between bites. "It's nice out here. And the company ain't to shabby either." She said this last part jokingly, a smirk crossing her face as she looked over at Shino for his reaction.

"Well, you're always welcome around here, my uncles probably wouldn't mind." He replied with a wag of his tail, brushing away a clump of feathers into a small pile nearby. "Aww, shabby? Come now, I can't be all that bad now, am I?" He said with a smirk. sticking his tongue out at her teasingly, giving her a thwap with the tip of his tail as he took another bite out of the bird. Afterwards, he licked his muzzle, getting rid of any remnants of meat or feathers.
