Do both and see which ones fit you more. I am not sure if it matters.

21. (my real first name, that I don't really go by)
This number is symbolized by the picture of "the Universe", and it is also called "the Crown of the Magi". It is a number of advancement, honors, elevation in life and general success. It means victory after long initiation and tests of determination. It is a fortunate number of promise if it appears in any connection with future events.

It sort of fits me. I'm going through many trials right now and I guess my success is just a bit ahead of me.

22. (Gabriella, the name I go by)
This number is symbolized by a " a Good Man blinded by the folly of others, with a knapsack on his back full of Arrows". In this picture he appears to offer no defense against a ferocious tiger which is attacking him. It is a warning number of illusion and delusion, a good person who lives in a fool's paradise; a dreamer of dreams who awakens only when surrounded by danger. It is also a number of false judgment owing to the influence of others. As a number in connection with future events, it is a warning and its meaning should be carefully noted.

Consider the warning noted.

25. (last name)
This is a number denoting strength gained through experience, and benefits obtained through observation of people and things. It is not deemed exactly "lucky", as its success is given through strife and trials in an earlier life. It is favorable when it appears in regard to the future.

Well, I've certainly gained strength through my experiences

30. (birthday)
This is a number of thoughtful deduction, retrospection, and mental superiority over one's fellows, but as it seems to belong completely to the mental plane, the persons it represents, are likely to put all material things on one side — not because they have to, but because they wish to do so. For this reason it is neither fortunate nor unfortunate, for either depends on the mental outlook of the person it represents. It can be all powerful, but it is just as often indifferent according to the will or desire of the person.

Omg, totally me. Especially that first part. But I'm not all logic and such; I'm quite spiritual and flighty, too.

I think we should do this for the compound of birthdays....let's see if that's what fits everyone else best, too

Okay, my first name, that I don't usually go by:
Quote:
34.
Has the same meaning as the number 25, which is the one next to it in its own series of "compound" numbers.

25.
This is a number denoting strength gained through experience, and benefits obtained through observation of people and things. It is not deemed exactly "lucky", as its success is given through strife and trials in an earlier life. It is favorable when it appears in regard to the future.

Sounds about right. 3nodding

My name that I usually go by:
Quote:
17.
This is a highly spiritual number, and is expressed in symbolism by the 8-pointed Star of Venus; a symbol of "Peace and love". It is also called "the Star of the Magi" and expresses that the person it represents has risen superior in spirit to the trials and difficulties of his life or his career . It is considered a "Number of immortality" and that the person's name "lives after him". It is a fortunate number if it works out in relation to future events, provided it is not associated with the single number of fours and eights.

Sounds pretty accurate. 3nodding Magi... how is that pronounced?

My last name:
Quote:
24.
This number is also fortunate; it promises the assistance and association of those of rank and position with one's plans; it also denotes gain through love and the opposite sex; it is a favorable number when it comes out in relation to future events.

I'll agree with that.

My birthday:
Quote:
33.
This number has no potency of its own and consequently has the same meaning as 24 — which is also a 6 — and the next to it in its own series of "compound" numbers.

See above ^

Is that all we're suppose to do?

[A]nd Then You'll Know

So I've decided on joining. So I'll go and catch up with the work.

Leson One and Two (Part 1) don't really have activities.

LESSON 2 part 2:
First name: 16=7
Last name: 10=1
Name Number: 8

LESSON 2 part 3:
(I'm going to assume you also want compound numbers for your birthday.)
Birth number: 31=4

Lesson 3:
I think I did this one wrong at first. But apparently the day I was born is three, not four........ So...
I don't remember anything special happening one one of my "lucky days", but it's pretty cool that my boyfriend was born on the ninth, and apparently 3s are "in harmony" with those people... (though I disagree with the description of a 9 compared to Tony's personality...)
And I basically just like the colors of 3... just a personal preferance.

Leson 4:
First Name-16
Quote:
This number has a most peculiar occult symbolism. It is pic tured by "a Tower Struck by Lightning from which a man is falling with a Crown on his head." It is also called "the Shattered Citadel".
It gives warning of some strange fatality awaiting one, also danger of accidents and defeat of one's plans. If it appears as a "compound" number relating to the future, it is a warning sign that should be carefully noted and plans made in advance in the endeavour to avert its fatalistic tendency.

Well, I'm not particularly sure of what to make of this one... XD I find it quite ominous. I'm going to relate it, for the sake of my sanity (jk lol), to my insanely horrible health.

Last Name-10
Quote:
Symbolized as the "Wheel of Fortune". It is a number of honor, of faith and self-confidence, of rise and fall; one's name will be known for good or evil, according to one's desires; it is a fortunate number in the sense that one's plans are likely to be carried out.

This one totally contradicts to the last one! XD 16 says "defeat of one's plans", while this one says "one's plans are likely to be carried out". This confuses me a little. XD

Birth Number-31
Quote:
This number is very similar to the preceding one, except that the person it represents is even more self-contacted, lonely, and isolated from his fellows. It is not a fortunate number from a worldly or material standpoint.

Okay then? Well, I'll take a look at 30, in that case.

Quote:
This is a number of thoughtful deduction, retrospection, and mental superiority over one's fellows, but as it seems to belong completely to the mental plane, the persons it represents, are likely to put all material things on one side — not because they have to, but because they wish to do so. For this reason it is neither fortunate nor unfortunate, for either depends on the mental outlook of the person it represents. It can be all powerful, but it is just as often indifferent according to the will or desire of the person.

Oh? Is that so. I'm still not quite sure of these... XD I'm not THAT lonely or isolated... Though I'm not exactly the most sociable, either. I guess I'll just leave it at that.

@Dark Angel The g in magi is a j like sound and the i is pronounced the way you would when you recite the vowels a, e, i, o, u. Does that help?

@ Rainbow Flavoured Pockey Welcome! whee

28.
This number is full of contradictions. It indicates a person of great promise and possibilities who is likely to see all taken away from him unless he carefully provides for the future. It indicates loss through trust in others, opposition and competition in trade, danger of loss through law, and the likelihood of having to begin life's road over and over again.

28 is my compound number for my birthday. 2+ 8= 10 and then it goes down to 1. So does this mean I have 2 compound numbers?

10.
Symbolized as the "Wheel of Fortune". It is a number of honor, of faith and self-confidence, of rise and fall; one's name will be known for good or evil, according to one's desires; it is a fortunate number in the sense that one's plans are likely to be carried out.

28 fits me well. Its abit scary though; I'm working hard so that I won't have to start all over again. I'm not sure about 10, it does sorta fit with 28 though.

Yes, that would mean that you have two compound numbers.

Ok, I am moving on now to Western Numerology. As I said before I am going to skip Kabbalah Numerology because of the trouble I had finding information on Chaldean Numerology. Western Numerology has to be the most popular form of Numerology. We are going to begin with a bit of history.

The Pythagorean or Western Number System
The Pythagorean or Western number system was thought to have been discovered by Pythagoras, the famous Greek philosopher, mystic, mathematician, and astronomer in the period 600 B.C. However, from some earlier recordings, the origins of Numerology may even have predated Pythagoras.
Pythagoras taught that there was a definite relationship of numbers to one’s total life experience. He studied under the Jewish Mystics and the Gurus of India and had been initiated into many of the mysteries of the spiritual teachers of the East and had both used and taught their system of numbers. Later on in life, he founded a school to pass on the mystical sciences to Western students that was based on knowledge from his travels and learned studies. The school was run by a religious brotherhood on the basis of a belief system derived from mathematics, astronomy, physics and philosophy.
Unfortunately, very little of his teachings survived other than a story told by Philolaus, a student believed to have studied under Pythagoras. It is suspected that after Pythagoras’ death, Philolaus declared that a certain system of numbers (we assume his) had been developed and blessed by Pythagoras before his death. Philolaus proclaimed Pythagoras as the “Father” of Western Numerology and for over 2,500 years, people accepted this declaration as valid since there was never any evidence to disprove this claim.
The Western number system assigns the number value by the sequence of the Western alphabet and uses a number formula based on calculating 1 – 9. Years of experience prove that this method is not as accurate as the Chaldean method. The Western alphabet assignment totally discounts the most important aspect of numerology–the concept of vibration and the numerical designation of each vibrational pattern. As a result, the Western number system virtually destroys the validity of the name numbers (or any other name number) and their meaning. What Western Numerology fails to acknowledge is the fact that the language of the numbers, coming off our name, gives us the most important facts about the direction in which our lives are unfolding.

Sorry guys...there is so much drama in my life right now that I am going to have to postpone putting up the next lesson. Hopefully things will settle down soon. xd

Blessed be your journeys overcoming everything! I strongly dislike drama. I hope everything will be alright for you soon.

That said, I'd like to join in on these lessons. So here's my catchup work! I wanna just say right now that the meaning of my compound number for my last name had me wigging out a bit. XD

Lesson 2.2 Homework

Beck- 2+5+3+2 = 12 = 3
Pouncey- 8+7+6+5+3+5+1 = 35 = 8
Total- 8+3 = 11 = 2

Lesson 2.3 Homework

1+0+3+1+1+9+9+0 = 24 = 6

Meaning of Your Number

I am a 4. I’d have to say that I’d agree with having a character all of my own, disagreeing with most people’s point of view and not making friends easily. And with the whole ‘not being quarrelsome’…though I need to work on that because I tend to be a little quarrelsome sometimes. I’d like to think I’m a devoted friend, but I’ve gotten mixed reviews on that idea in the past. Saturday is definitely my lucky day and I love electric colors and pale colors. However, I’m quite different from the material wealth part. Money has always been a source of anxiety to me. I’m one of the few people in my group of friend who’s dedicated to my job through the good and bad, because I don’t want to NOT have money. As far as stones, I don’t believe in any set lucky stone, so I can’t really say if it applies to me or not.

Compound Numbers

11-This is an ominous number to occultists. It gives warning of hidden dangers, trial, and treachery from others. It has a symbol of a "Clenched Hand", and "a Lion Muzzled", and of a person who will have great difficulties to contend against. – So What I’m hearing is that I have a lot I need to overcome…and that makes a lot of sense to me. This was my total name number.

12- The symbolism of this number is suffering and anxiety of mind. It is also indicated as "the Sacrifice" or "the Victim" and generally foreshadows one being sacrificed for the plans or intrigues of others. – This could possibly hint towards my issues with self esteem…I have viewed myself before as worthy only to be an experiment. This was the number of my first name.

24- This number is also fortunate; it promises the assistance and association of those of rank and position with one's plans; it also denotes gain through love and the opposite sex; it is a favorable number when it comes out in relation to future events. – This is my only really optimistic number, and it makes me quite happy as I value love very highly…and most of my friends are of the opposite sex. This was my birth number.

35- This number is full of the gravest warnings for the future. It foreshadows disasters brought about by association with others; ruin by bad speculations, by partnerships, unions and bad advice. If it comes out in connection with future events one should carefully consider the path one is treading. – Oh my. It…it came out as the number for my last name? Oi vey!
