I know what you mean. And usually, I can't imagine what they look like either...He's just to hard to imagine! He's so beautiful! But when I see an actor, I say "oh well that's so him!" and stuff like that. But when I read, I can't see his face unless I picture the actor...That's why I can't wait til the movie. crying

No I do not see his face. I simply see his head, body, and hair when I try to imgine him. Though I do see the outline of hims golden/midnight black eyes. D:

I always imagined Edward with a face similar to Henry Caville's, and Bella with a face sort of like mine accept more womanly and with puppy-dog brown eyes and almost-black hair instead of my olive green eyes and coppery-brown hair, and no bangs(i have bangs)

I can see his face. It's kinda weird for me to, though. I grew up with anime characters, so if I picture some one they're either anime or I can't see their face and it irritates me, but I can see Edward very clearly.

At first, I didn't. It took a while for me to grasp the image. The face was the only things I couldn't imagine. Everything else with Edward was easy to imagine. His hair, his skin, body, hands...etc. Everything as long as it had nothing to do with the face. But rereading helped me get it. And was I relieved to have a face and a beautiful one at that. Everyone besides Edward was easy to imagine.

It always happens to me, when I know what I think the characters should look like, but I don't really see what they look like, except for clothes and such. I don't ever see their faces, unless I've seen the movie.

B1ackMage696 I know exactly what you mean! I see it just like that. It's strange because I can see everything but his face; I can see his hair, skin, but his face is just a blur. Maybe it's because I don't want him to look different then Stephanie Meyer wanted him to look like. Me too. Except I think I might just be afraid he won't be pretty enough if I ever try to decide what he should look like. sweatdrop

schmut-lovee Okay, so I don't know if my mind is going crazy, so this is just to see if I'm the only one...
Well, when you imagine Edward, do you actually see a face? Like, me, I don't see a face, but I just know what Ms. Meyer describes, if you know what I mean. I see his hair, the shape of his head, but I can never seem to imagine his face. All I know is that it's incredibly beautiful.
But there's just one picture of Edward that I keep seeing in my mind when I think of him.. I see his hair and his head, but his face is like a shadow, it's like the sun is behind him, so the light doesn't shine on his face, so it's too dark to see his face. GRR, it's so hard to explain!
But, either way, all I'm trying to say is, do you actually SEE Edward's face when you imagine him?
Same goes with all the other characters.. Do you SEE their faces, or do you just THINK you can see it, based on Ms. Meyer's explanation? You're not crazy, beleive me. The same exact thing happens to me. He's just so unimaginably gorgeous that my mind can't compare him to anyone. *I personally don't like the choice for Edward in the movie...but what's done is done.*

Everything but his facial features are completely visible to me when I read...I have an idea of what his face should look like, but I don't really imagine characters' faces in detail...I guess I don't have to, the writing spells out all their feelings for me.

omg i just realized i don't see a face either well i can see those parts when they are descrbed like the eyes and the nose and of course the mouth. but the whole thing together i can't imagine a face so when the movie comes out. i can't wait for that to be made. they better have a really sexy guy. even though if you go onto the website they guy the actor that is supposed to play him is cute. while he is in character he better be really sexy or i will be very disappointed.

suicidal_sal I don't know if this happens to anyone else, I think someone else before me kind of described it... But whenever I read... I become the protagonist whether that happens to be male or female. It's really hard to describe if you haven't experienced it before sweatdrop But it really helps to get a feel on the emotive language and visualization. razz Thats how it is with me too.
