((Think it's about time for my close up then))
She heard a rustling in the undergrowth behind her and stilled, hands making a surreptitious move to the sheaths strapped either side of her waist and a second later, the air whistled with the sound of singing blades. "Daezi! he gave a high pitched shriek as her blades embedded in the trees either side of his face and she raised an eyebrow, "Why are you following me Juniper?"
He came closer and rolled his eyes, "I still can't believe you're actually going to test this explosive theory of yours this way." Daezi shrugged and leaned over the smoking cauldron before her, "What I'm just going to start with a big amount and work my way down until It gets completely accurate. His expression changed from droll to skeptical as he inched closer, "Pardon me but isn't it usually done the OTHER WAY Around?"
Just then the mixture began to fizz and sputter and he hastily backtracked while she chuckled and murmured, "Then I suggest you take cover because this might be a little loud." Juniper quailed and shook his head, "well then might I ask in what general direction are you intending to target this explosion of yours?" and she shrugged, "Oh I don't know, north, north west?"

((Anabel Sinclair has been following this pretty much since it began and we have both been looking for a nice way to integrate her character into the RP. So, to clarify, she's not just randomly posting this and I have in fact added Daezi's profile to the front page.))
Tessan returned the smile. He was actually happy and rather a lot more at ease now, even though he was still in the An'ei settlement.
"I think she'd like that," he laughed softly, thinking of his little girl dancing. "She's quite a handful sometimes and likes to try and imitate the dancing. My wife or I often find her dancing about her room and knocking over her toys."
He continued to smile then realized they were completely ignoring Axus after he had seemingly gone out of his way to speak to him. Flushing slightly in embarrassment, he turned to the raven-haired man.
"I'm sorry... I didn't mean to exclude you..."

Zeke laughed quietly, "Well its a pity if that was their plan because I only intended to sneak in to satisfy my own curiosity. I had no real intention of telling them what I saw. Besides its been awhile since I've gone into a human settlement. It'll be fun to do so again."

Juniper blanched when he heard his friend's words, "N-north? Surely Daezi that must sound dangerous, even for you...why aren't you worried that you might hit something or worse, someone?" Daezi barely looked up as she removed the crackling object from the cauldron and slowly approached with a glowing tinder. "At this time? Anything or one inane enough to be wandering about with those dark ones at large certainly deserves to be blown away for their folly."
The flame finally caught and soon the wick was swallowed by the growing mass of sparks. She shrugged and took cover beside Juniper, smiling with excitement, "Besides I flipped a coin; it was either there or doing it in my father's yard."

Kurai crossed her arms and stared at Zeke. it'll be fun? she thought, echoing his statement. He's joking right? They're humans, barbaric people bent on destroying all order in the world. And we're supposed to go and check them out...what's fun about that? She had never been to a human settlement before. And she wasn't sure she was going to enjoy infiltrating one. She shook her head, "It would be wise to at least give the elders some inkling as to what we're up against," she finally said. "You don't have to give them much...just enough to make them stop asking you to tell them what you saw. Because I'm sure that they know what you were going to do tonight," she finished glancing at the settlement again, watching the same guard pass by for the second time.
Kurai's eyes narrowed as she glared at the human. "That guard is starting to annoy me..." she muttered, loud enough for Zeke to hear.

"Who said they will even know if I go in or not? I'm certainly not going to tell them anything and unless you come with me you won't know either at which point you'll probably just tell them everything anyways. In which, case I'd only be good for a contrasting view of how the humans behavior might have been different than it usual is." Zeke paused and watched the guard for a moment before smiling, "Leave him be. He's only doing his job. Besides the best infiltration is the one that no one knows about except the infiltrator and those he wishes to tell."

Kurai sighed and glanced at the guard one more time, before turning back to Zeke. "Unfortunately I have to admit, that I'm not sure I can get into the settlement and get out. I know nothing of the human settlements..." Kurai said quietly. "So I guess If I am going in, then I have to go with you, because you know the area inside the gates, not me." She nodded understanding Zeke's words, "It make sense, better for the guard to not know we're here..."

Zeke turned back to Kurai and smiled. "And why do you want to come so bad? Want to see all the strange sights and sounds? Or just finding a way to complete the mission even if you don't agree with it?"

Kurai shrugged and replied, "You got me, since my grandmother is an elder, I would never hear the end of it. So I'm gathering information so she won't have something to yell at me about." She looked away back towards the guard for a moment before looking back. "And also...I'm kind of curious. Never seen the enemies' home area before..."
