"I see no problem with letting you eat. But, honestly. Do I look like a government type? Really? Plus, you would be surprised at how special we really are, but we'll get to that after you eat." Kyle walked over to the stove and looked at what was cooking. "Does pizza sound good to you, or would you rather have somethinkg else?" Before the kid could answer, he walked over to the refridgerator and looked in. "Maybe..............," he started but he found nothing a boy his age would enjoy. "Well, I guess just pizza."

((This would probably be a useful time for Daniel to walk in. If I mess any spelling errors based around the letter B forgive me, I've screwed up my finger and that and T are the only letters I have trouble compensating, mostly B))
The oven dinged and Dece went to work putting food in it, twisting a dial to ten minutes once it was all cooking. "If you're looking for a different contest you've come to the right place, but what do we get if we win?" she commented sarcastically before hopping up to sit on the counter next to the range. Quickly she picked up a ridiculous grin and went about rubbing the back of her head on the counter.

Rei grinned and nodded.
"Pizza, pizza, pizza, pizza..."
She repeated over and over. She jumped on a chair and turned to face the boy holding out her hands.
"Pizza?"
She smiled.
"So, can I eat now?"
She tilted her head and looked at the girl pointing her finger.
"Your odd."
She said bluntly, but with a smile.

"As soon as its re......," Kyle started, but was cut off as the timer dinged signifying that the pizzas were, in fact, ready. "Yes, you can eat now.' He walked over to the oven and got out the pizzas. He then took one and cut it into pieces for the young boy. "Here you go. Careful, its hot," he said as he passed the steaming food to the boy. "So, what do you mean when you say that you're special?"

Rei grabbed it from the man and bite into the slice hungrily. She wined as it burned her tongue and the entire roof of her mouth but continued to eat it. She looked up at him but couldn't speak to answer his question. She closed her eyes as she chewed and bent the light in his area, making him disappear. She swallowed.
"There."
And continued with another bite. For running around all day she sure did get hungry. She swung her feet softly her energy still focused on the light being bent.

Kyle began to ask what her power was, but then noticed that his hand wasn't there. He then saw that he wasn't there. And he wasn't trying to be invisible, and he definitely was in the light. "Woah. That is interesting. So you can turn things invisible, huh? Hmm, this sounds familiar," he said, looking at Dece and smiling, only to realize that she couldn't see him. So much for that he thought. "So can you do this everywhere, or only under certain conditions? I only ask because I've 'witnessed' something similar, but it can only be done in the dark," he said, adding enough emphasis on witnessed to let Dece know that he was referring to himself.

"What I don't understand is if you hide in shadows why not carry an umbrella around with you all the time?" William quiped as he stepped into the kitchen.
He blinked once or twice realizing that He had heard Kyle's voice but did not actaully see him in the room. The young man finally took note of the newcomer standing in the middle of the room knawing on a piece of pizza. William pulled a heavy glove off his hand, tucking it under his arm he picked up a slice of pizza and took a bite, chewing it slowly and breathing deeply to try and cool his mouth abit.
"So you can bend light like a prism, rendering objects invisible. That's an interesting one." William commented before taking a second bite.
After finishing his first slice of pizza he continued, "Would you mind if I studied your abilities; to gaudge their extent and to possible duplicate them?"

"But then I would look stupid, and people would normally just see and umbrella floating around everywhere. And thats just weird," Kyle responded as William finished the piece of pizza he was eating. "Okay, can you make me visible again? Its kinda hard to focus when I'm invisible and everyone knows I'm here."

((I am really sorry that I've failed to stay involved with this, I have excuses that I wont bore you with, suffice to say I'm not currently able to stay deeply involved and would like to step back to a purely GM position, but you guys will have to keep playing; I do have a bit of a plot idea but it requires my character to continue and a new character to come in some time soon, I don't remember what I said on the subject in the setup but I have no problem with people playing multiple characters, as long as they can do it effectively
Anybody interested in considering playing ether of these characters please contact me, or if you know anybody who might be interested.))

((Oh man, I'm not even gonna try to explain my absence.
Here's a post to take your mind off the fact that I wasn't around.))
"Okay then." Daniel said slowly, glancing to the switch William had mentioned. He took a final look at his car. "Bye." He muttered, more to the car than to William. Flipping the switch, sure enough, there was the mansion's musty old basement. He hadn't even known this was here. Walking around an old bathtub, Daniel mused on the reasoning behind the death of his car. Perhaps it was the Powers That Be's way of telling him he had to stay here more, by destroying his only way out.
Trotting up the creaky rotting wooden stairs, Daniel pushed open the door to the ground floor. He stepped up into a small cubby off of the kitchen. The door across from him led to a pantry.
There was talk of a contest over his shoulder. Stepping out of the space and into the main kitchen, he leaned against the corner that joined the two. "Alright, what's going on?"
