But that doesn't mean I like it ._. . I was thinking that with all the UV's they do their skin must be dead #.# . . .
They're so taned that some barely look japanese anymore =l

I don't like Ganguro girls much at all.
I bet it's 'cause I live in the US, and what with all the tan-skin, short-skirt, porn-star look being popular among youthful girls, it's nothing special.
But otherwise, It only works for a few people, and too many asian girl just can't pull it off from looking at the picture on the site.
Doesn't Ganguro have some association with porn?
If not, maybe I'm getting the idea from the dating-sims and miniskirts.

eek o.O it's scary...I dont like damaging my skin just so the popular girls will like me..yuck!! i like to be pale...but i dont really avoid the sun so i do get a bit of a tan when in summer or i go to florida((my cousin lives there)) w00t!

I never really cared for Ganguro much.
It's just kinda...I don't want to say creepy-looking, but it's fairly unattractive to me. I just can't understand why anyone would dye their hair a much lighter color and tan their skin.

I'm guessing it's the same reason people like to dye their hair blue. domokun I know a girl at school that has super super blonde hair. It's close to being white. @_@ It's really pretty.

I'm not to fond of that style. I don't think I could ever do it. I have really dark hair, I would hate dying it blonde. And I despise tans, it totally kills your skin later on in life.

I've only just noticed, but there are lots of international students at my college, lots of them are from Japan and China- of those there are a few girls that look sort of Ganguro. It looks better in real life, I think, but then their look is more toned down than some of the pictures I have seen, and they are very pretty anyway.

I dont like the Ganguro style really.
I see people who go waaaay over bored with the tanning and makup and the bleaching that they look almost like a chessboard! o.o;;
I do like the crazy make up a little...
not on me, but on other people I find it interesting.

But I like Harajuku better.
My friends are Ganguro.
Well, they try to be.
They look really wierd.
They have black hair and are whiter than white.
They burn, not tan.
It kinda makes me laugh.

hate it. its ugly and so dose not look good on them. and like that article said they talk and laugh loudly.
not only is it annoying to look at, BUT ITS ANNOYING TO HEAR.
i live in houston, we have a ton of tanned bloned girls and they are loud whores.

I don't care for it at all, especially how over board most of them seem to go with it. I've seen a couple pictures where it was actually cute, but those are few and far between. Plus it seems so self desructive, and I grew up in CA for a bit. I'm sure that has something to do with it since the tanned blonde girls there annoy me to no end and I've always tried to aviod ending up acting like them. >.< But it is a fashion and if that works for them, more power to them.
