Okay, so Cloud smiles at the end of AC, right? And that seems to be a big deal to hint towards the "Cleris" side. Well, not to me. Something that is often UN-noticed, is the fact that Zack is in that scene. Cloud is smiling at Aeris and Zack, knowing now that he never had to blame himself for his deaths. It's the feeling that "Every thing's okay now, right?" and that it truly is. Cloud is realizing that the two friends he saw die, don't blame him. That he didn't need forgiving. His troubling feelings are gone.
THAT is why he smiled, IMO.

In AC, Cloud smiles at Tifa ONLY.

She smiles.

Then smiles at the children.

Then just plain smiles.

There's also the part, where Cloud nods and smiles a bit in the motorcycle scene with Tifa. I don't have the screencap though. : ]

I think this proves that more people than just Aeris contribute to Clouds smile. Like Zack and Tifa.

You know what's crap? Somebody arguing my Cloti views in a Cloti based Guild. rolleyes

I didn't say that because Cloud and Tifa shared a smile, means that they are in love. Did you read what I typed wrong, or are you a wee bit blind? I'm proving that other people make Cloud and make him happy, not just Aeris alone.

Clouds smile at Aeris, was not cute. After giving her AND Zack a "wtf" face for what seems like an hour, we see him truly smile a sincere smile, that shows that he feels the burdens of his heart being lifted. Yes, a big part of that is due to Aeris, but to Zack as well. Cloud sees that Aeris never blamed him, and is glad to see her smiling face. Needless to say the smile Cloud shared with Aeris (and Zack cough cough) was special, Cloti smiles are also, special.

Lmao, he saw right past everyone to see Aeris AND Zack, because they are dead and he's seeing them again. The two people he had to see die, and blamed himself for. He's seeing them, and seeing that they are both happy.

Because, Tifa is Cloud's light and her light was too strong for him. I thought this was already settled. 4laugh

Like a Yin and Yang, Cloud is full of darkness and Tifa is full of light. You can't have all light or all darkness. You need a balance.
Aeris was already a balance, and neutral. IMO, that's not what Cloud needs. He needs the other half of himself, IMO Tifa.
