Finally arriving at the place the masked wolf calls home Gizmo realises just how strong he has become, especially standing beside his newfound brother and two other adolescents.

The meeting of a familiar face
Kimaria
Gizmo paused to catch his breath, finally glancing back over his shoulder at the rise of mountains that were now fading fast behind him. The clouds had swallowed the summit whole but he knew it still remained there, a huge natural structure that offered danger and protection to Fea and his pack.

His heart trembled sadly at the thought of his brother, and how much his two adopted kin did not get on. Perhaps one day Haku would warm up to him...one day...

He moved a few more paces to lie beneath the shade of a pine tree and let out a small huff, glad for the rest.

Tamiko-chan
Whisper stood next to a river with her tongue lolling out of the side of her mouth. She had awoken before Fute and gone off to hunt for him. She was still on that journey, having not found anything so far. It seemed no animal roamed here besides her and the puppies she had met only a few days ago. Yet, she thought, wouldn't less predators mean more safety for herbivores in this area? Though maybe there was something about this place that others just didn't like. It puzzled her and so she just dropped it, unable to come up with reasonable logic.

A sigh escaped her lips as she looked around, trying to scent or see something that would make a good meal. The adolescent lifted her nose into the air to sniff at it mulitple times, but each time nothing came to her. She would have scented Gizmo if it weren't for the fact that the wind was blowing towards him.

"Er.. anything around?" she asked herself, thinking she was completely alone.

Kimaria
Gizmo's ears twitched, and then his nose, and finally he caught a scent on the breeze, a familiar one that he hadn't come across for a long time...not since that day where he had met Vashin at the clearing. He blinked and canted his head, drawing in a deep breath before rising to his feet.

Panting as he went he pushed his way through a rather brambly bush, golden eyes blessed with the snaking river and a young green-furred wolfess. Yes he remembered her now, but not as the adolescent he saw now. His memories consisted of a shy little pup who had kept herself to herself and not spoken a word to him at all.

He gathered his courage and moved towards her, just in time to hear her ask if anything else was around. He lowered his head sheepishly, feathered tail wagging, then finally spoke; I be here... His voice was soft but hopefully she would hear him.

Tamiko-chan
Whisper had been standing there with her front paws together and her hind paws spread apart enough so that her tail hung loosely between her legs. But once Gizmo announced that he was there, though his voice was so soft she almost missed his words, she jumped back a foot and landed in her 'omega' position. Her body was low to the ground and her tail was between her legs. Ears pressed back against her skull revealed that she was a very submissive wolf, not wanting any trouble simply because she wouldn't be able to deal with it when considering her wounded right shoulder.

Eyes blinked at him as she looked him over for a split second. After that, though, the green female averted her eyes to show that she really was harmless and didn't want a fight or anything. This wolf, though, struck her memory for some reason. He was somewhat familliar yet she couldn't quite place it, having been so young when she first saw him.

Kimaria]Gizmo's fur bristled, not with anger but in slight fear at her reaction towards him, a low whine escaping from his throat as he took a couple of steps backwards, his own tail curving to tuck between his hind legs. He hadn't meant to frighten her so much and he didn't know how to deal with the situation at all. Should he approach or should he just back off and leave her be?

All at once his nervousness caused his throat to constrict and his words when he finally spoke came out terribly wrong indeed. I-I I no hurtses green w-w-wo.. He swallowed and pinned back his ears, shaking his head irritably and trying again. Me...no hurt you. There, that was better.

He gave her a cautious smile and moved to lie down, spreading his forepaws out in front of him and licking nervously at his mouth as he lowered his head to lie his muzzle cradled in his paws. Golden eyes turned upwards to glance at her, his tail continuing to wag a slow greeting.
[quote="Tamiko-chan
Whisper stayed in her omega position for a while until Gizmo had almost the same reaction. It hadn't occured to her that maybe he was just as shy as she was. Once it did, though, it truly surprised her. Never before had she met another wolf that was shy and timid. Most of the ones she had met either thought she was weird to be acting that way or just simply ignored her because she wasn't comfortable talking to wolves she didn't know. This male, though.. he seemed to give her some confidence since he was just like her in a way.

"Oh," she replied softly, loosening her posture a bit so she could sit. Though her ears were still down to show her submission, her tail swayed back and forth across the ground and she wasn't as afraid to look him in the eye, figuring that he wouldn't attack her or anything.

Kimaria
As she loosened her posture he let out a held breath of relief and raised his head slowly, glancing at her curiously. It still seemed that she hadn't lost her shy nature even with age, but he was glad to see she wasn't so afraid now.

He yawned briefly, pink tongue curling in his mouth as he allowed himself to relax further, snuffling at her direction openly. I see green wolf before. He said with a kindly smile curving the line of his maw. You there at clearing I at long 'go. He continued, wondering if she would remember, she had been just a little thing then and he himself had been in adolescence.

You no speak to me though... He twitched his ears and then recognised another scent that mingled with her own. You know Kam-Kam? His eyes were bright with hope.

Tamiko-chan
It seemed yawning was contagious. Right after the male had finished his yawn, Whisper started one of her own to reveal sharp fangs that she only used when hunting and eating. Once her mouth was closed again though, she gave him a sheepish smile. For some reason she was oddly comfortable around him. Perhaps it was the way he was shy and timid like her. Yes, that was it, it had to be. It was the only logical explanation and she always like it when things could be explained.

"Yes," she replied softly, showing him that she did indeed recall the time when she had seen him. It was sort of faint, but she remembered him saying his name was.. Gizmo?.. yes, Gizmo, when Ieshia had wanted to play a little game and run off some excess energy. "Gizmo, right?" she asked, just to make sure.

Kamali? He knew her brother? Wonderful! Maybe he was in Haku's pack and that's why they supposedly knew each other. "Kamali? Yes, he brother." She nodded to confirm it.

Kimaria
She remembered his name! Wow he would never have guessed that she would have...now if only he could remember hers. He tilted his head, eyes glossing over in thought as he tried to search his memory of whether it had been spoken or not. He remembered a possible few but could not be certain.

He gave her an embarrassed look and nodded. I be Gizmo, yes. But I be bad and no remember yours... His ears drooped a little but his tail continued to wag.

At the mention of Kamali's name he raised his head higher still, golden eyes glittering happily at the prospect of meeting another of his friends...but wait...he was her brother? He gave a small yip, tail wagging harder now as he came to realise what this meant.

You Kam-Kam's sister?! His voice was filled with excitement, Gizmo never knew Kam-Kam had sister.

Tamiko-chan
Whisper wagged her tail when Gizmo revealed that indeed was his name. It surprised her slightly that she was able to remember that far back and when she hadn't even been talking or interacting with him directly. She was glad she did though, even if he didn't remember her name. Yet that was understandable. If she remembered correctly, she didn't speak at all and therefore hadn't spoken her name to anyone.

"Not worry, don't think said name when around you then," she replied softly, hoping to assure him that she didn't much mind. "Whisper," she told him as her tail continued in its contented wag.

So, he did know Kamali. He seemed to be surprised that she was Kam's sister by the tone of his voice and by the way he stated it outright that he never knew her brother had a sister. Well, he did, and she nodded as she said, "Yes, two sisters. Rasine too."

Kimaria
Whisper, that was a nice name, and it suited her very well indeed! He nodded and stowed the name away in his memory in fear of forgetting it again. He didn't like forgetting something as important as an identity, especially if it belonged to one of Kamali's siblings.

He got up onto his paws and bounced once, excitement keeping him from standing still. He yipped once more and dashed in a circle madly. Pausing only to glance shyly at her, ashamed by his sudden outburst of emotion. He 'nother sister too? He breathed in astonishment, so Kam-Kam had found all his siblings then? Tobias he knew of, the blue-eyed male a lot like Gizmo's minty green companion.

Me never knew Kam-Kam had so many siblings. He wagged his tail furiously and arched his back in a playful bow, sun playing along the white and brown hues of his fur.

Tamiko-chan
Whisper grinned and giggled very slightly as she watched Gizmo bound about in what seemed like excitement. It was good that he had opened up slightly and was now in the mood to play, it seemed. Perhaps they could go hunting together or maybe play a game or two. Or he could help her find Fute if he wanted to, she didn't know whether or not he had other places to be, but it wouldn't hurt to ask or anything.

"Yeah, Kam has three. Tobias, Rasine, Whisper." A smile played across her maw as she rose to her paws. She stretched out every limb except for her right leg because of her shoulder injury.

"Have things to do?" she asked with her head slightly canted to the side. "Not, maybe hunt or find Fute." Her offer wasn't the best, but he seemed nice and willing to make new friends. She was the same way and figured they could get along just fine.

Kimaria
He watched over her as she rose, wondering briefly where this Rasine was and whether she was as nice as the other siblings. He didn't doubt it, for out of the three he had met already he liked each and every one of them.

He shook the thick fur around his neck and listened to her next words, glancing between her and the forest. There were places he had to be...wolves he needed to meet. One wolfess sprang instantly to mind...but upon gazing back at this newfound friend he found himself wanting to stay a little longer.

I promise wolf I meet her soon... He trailed off, ears twitching as they usually did when he was in thought. ...but I like to stay with you for bit longer too.

Who be this Fute you speak of? He questioned lightly, with a small cant of his head.

Tamiko-chan
Whisper wagged her tail once more as she went in a very awkward circle. Her limp was coming back but she didn't really mind. If her shoulder started acting up and icing over, then she would be worried. But for now nothing was wrong, she just walked a little funny.

He had another wolf to go to? Hm.. perhaps it was a friend of his or his mate.. yes, probably his mate. She didn't know many wolves beside herself who would be that eager to get back to someone who was just a friend. "Oh.." she said as her head lowered slightly. Yet he voiced that he wanted to stay a little longer with her. She'd like that but she didn't want to keep him from whoever it was he promised he would go back to. Besides, she knew about keeping a promise to someone about being there and the like, so she understood.

"No, it fine," she began. "Fute just best friend.. promised I'd stay with him forever." Her tail wagged slightly as she thought of the positive male. Hopefully he was somewhere safe at the moment.. it would truly break her heart if something bad happened to him while she wasn't there..

Kimaria
He could not help but notice her slight limp and glanced down at her shoulder, moving carefuly over to glance at it. You got hurted? He questioned lightly, glancing at her through tear-drop shaped eyes. How it had happened he wasn't sure he wanted to know but he hoped she wasn't in too much pain. He made no move to touch the sore area however, not wanting to further her pain anymore with clumsy actions his nose might cause her.

Fute 'round here somewheres? He raised his head and inhaled deeply, trying to find a scent but failing, the wind was still masking the other wolf from his senses. It nice to have best friend. He agreed with a nod of his head. He tilted his head in thought once more. Did he have a best friend? He had his adopted brothers...he had a few friends, all of whom he hadn't seen in a long time...then he had Aeria. They had spoken briefly about liking each other a lot but that's as far as it had gotten. He sighed, still not quite understanding what had happened between them and glanced up once more.

I help look for him, maybe? He asked softly, not wanting to intrude if he was not wanted.

Tamiko-chan
Whisper blinked then looked at the ground in shame as Gizmo walked over to her and examined her shoulder wound. She had explained once how it had happened, and the wolf she had told it to just thought she was clumsy. It hurt when she thought about Kuro's reaction. Yet Gizmo didn't seem like the kind to make fun so maybe she would tell him because he was so nice..

"Yeah.. hunting deer.. doe hit shoulder with hoof." Thinking back on that date, she thought of Soul. Was the older female okay? The last time they had been separated the older female had stopped eating and fell terribly ill. She whimpered to herself, yet the male could most likely hear it. She didn't notice though, and so did nothing to cover it.

"Fute?" she echoed. Hm.. maybe he was around here, she wasn't sure being as he probably woke up after she had left and possibly wandered off to find her or Rochir. Hopefully he didn't feel betrayed at her leaving. That would be bad and she'd feel terrible. "Maybe here, dunno," the female admitted. "Want to help? Sure, don't mind." The adolescent's tail wagged in acceptance.

Kimaria
Gizmo's muscles twitched with an involountary shiver as he remembered those strange branch head monsters he had seen when exploring with Aeria. They had frightened him then during his puphood and they frightened him now. He was a small male, not strong nor brave nor smart. There was nothing particularly special about him other than his innocence, and happy outlook on everyone and everything.

Me no like those monsters. He said slowly, peering at her with shining golden eyes. They chase Gizmo, they make him scared. He nodded and his ears lowered a little as he recalled the vivid memory.

He gave her a shy smile then, tail wagging as his help was accepted, he may as well make himself useful whilst he was passing by, and he would never turn down aid to a young female such as she. Her fur was such a strange but delightful colour, enabling her to move through the grass and remain quite hidden, unlike he with his white fur. It aided him well during harsh winter months...but not now when the grass grew thick and green it was nothing but a hindrance.

I help, you know where start? He straightened and wagged his tail a little more, twitching his ears back and forth as he tried to locate any wolf like sounds in the area.

Tamiko-chan
Whisper nodded in agreement. Finally someone who was like her! Gizmo seemed like her male counterpart, thinking and even speaking in similar ways. There sizes when compared to 'average' wolves of their sex were even the same. Whisper was small for a female of her age and Giz was small for a male of his age. Her tail wagged in delight at having a friend like this male in front of her.

Now.. monsters? She had never really thought of them as monsters, really, just creature to be wary of and to make sure one didn't upset a deer. "Monster?" she echoed, also revealing her thoughts. Yet now that she was thinking about it, they could be considered monsters. Nonetheless, though, the omega still believed deer were just protecting themselves and trying to survive like anything else in the wild. "Not monsters, think.. they just try survive and protect themselves." Yes, that was it. They just wanted to live like everyone else.

As for Fute.. hopefully he was still alive. Of course, she had no doubt in her mind that he was, but the worst of thoughts couldn't be helped from popping up in her mind. The green femme thought that he might still be at the den, but she couldn't be sure. "Fute might be at den. Not sure." Her head turned this way and that, as if still thinking of which way would be best to start.

Kimaria
Gizmo listened to her intently, both ears trained on her as he took in her words. What the female said was true....the word 'monster' did seem a little harsh, especially for ones that should be considered prey in his eyes. I s'pose so, still be scary though. He would never forget the look in their eyes, or the threatening way they swayed their heads and stamped their rock-hard hooves against the ground. They had a strength that could kill a reckless wolf if they chose to use it, a strength that scared him into keeping his distance.

He took a few steps forward and scented the air once more, his nostrils filled with the smell of pines, of water and wolves old and new. He was a little curious as to who this Fute was, perhaps a friend? Maybe her own pup? Perhaps even her mate. He decided that he would most likely find out if they came across him, although he figured this wolf would be a friend. The way she spoke about him did not seem the way that his alphas had spoken about each other.

His alphas...he had heard rumors that the pack had fallen apart, this information beginning to eat away at him. He would not yet believe this, not until he had reached home and discovered it for himself. If...if then he found that his pack was no more, where did this leave him? He had nowhere to go and nowhere to call home. He emitted a soft whimper at these thoughts and shook his head sadly. He truly would be a lone wolf. He would finally get his wish. Strange how dreams can change over a short length of time, for where once he craved lone adventure, he now wanted nothing more than to be beside his friends.

Which way den? He asked of Whisper as he broke free from his troubled thoughts, waiting with a never-ending patience.

Tamiko-chan
Whisper nodded towards Gizmo. Indeed, deer were among the scariest of animals in the forest, at least in her mind. There seemed to be no other animal more dangerous than them.. except for maybe bears. "Yeah.. still scary." Her left ear twitched subtly, revealing her uncomfortable feeling during their conversation. It had nothing to do with the male, only the subject. Her shoulder wound had been a result of the 'monster' deer, and it pained her to think back to the day when it happened.

But she would get no where and wouldn't be able to find Fute if all she did was stand there being nervous and scared of deer. No, that wouldn't do. So the omega shook her fur to relieve it of any dirt then looked towards her friend. "Den? Uh.. that way," she said, gesturing with her head to the direction behind her. The den was there, but what if Fute wasn't? They would have to search or something.. maybe howl to see if the pup was around.

"Go now?" The green female blinked at Giz, waiting for an answer.

Kimaria
Gizmo watched patiently, aware of the uncomfortable way the female held herself in. She was very much like Kam-Kam in a way, and even though the minty green male had mellowed out during adulthood he was still rather timid. Whisper seemed to be very much the same way but he saw that she too had hold of a kind and loving heart. He was glad to finally meet someone very much like himself, for being surrounded by confident and boistrous wolves for most of his life he had begun to think he shouldn't call himself a wolf at all. He wagged his tail pleasantly and parted his maw in a wider canine smile, turning to gaze in the direction she angled her head.

Yes we go now. He agreed in a soft tone, moving quietly across the soft grass and moving through the shallows of the stream. The water wasn't deep - only enough to dampen his paws, so it was easy enough to cross without fear of getting cold or swept away. Strange how he feared most things but adored water, never had he feared drowning within it or being frozen in it's embrace. Ever since he had been a pup water had been something he had quite admired.

He paused, all four paws submerged in the water to gaze back at the other femme, feeling comfortable in her company. It was nice, he decided after a moments thought - to finally find one who was like him.

Tamiko-chan
Indeed, she was like Kamali. They were probably the closest personality-wise and coat-wise. Rasine and Tobias had similiar coats as well, but she wasn't sure about the way they acted. Whisper only had the chance to see her other brother once when she was a pup, and she didn't get to spend much quality time with him. It was the same with Rasine, only the green wolf had seen her sister as an adolescent, not a pup. A sigh escaped her lips. Where were her siblings now? They had all met together briefly then.. just wandered away. It pained her to think that she might never see them again since she was forming a pack with her friends.

But, again, she knew nothing would get done if she just stood there. So she wagged her tail then followed Gizmo into the water after he had looked back to her. She didn't realize she had been lost in thought and hadn't noticed the male had begun walking, so the omega gave him an apologetic smile when she caught up to him.

Also, she didn't fail to notice that he seemed somewhat comfortable in the water. She was the same. Other things she feared, but not the water. Sure, if the rapids were too fast or something, she wouldn't go in, but that didn't mean that she feared the water. No. In fact, she loved the water and enjoyed the peaceful streams that occupied part of the forest. A contented sigh could be heard as she looked towards her friend.

"Alright, this way. Follow?" she asked, moving out of the water to stand on the bank, paws dripping with water.

Kimaria
Gizmo had never really had true family, no brothers and sisters that he was aware still lived. He had met his brother Sable for a time but had practically disowned him, telling him that he didn't want anything to do with him. A few days later and that same brother who had begged to be a part of his life again had ended up dead, torn to shreads by fellow pack-mates Gaara and Lexi. He trembled again and shook the images from his head. His brother would be okay now, he was up with the stars looking down at the forest from his high point in the sky. His brother had been unkind but not evil enough to be turned away from the heavens.

His sisters too had not been seen since the day he left his cruel family and in his heart he hoped he would never have to see them again. Rumours that his family had been slain still haunted him and yet at the same time it allowed him to be free. He had no ties other than to his packmates who he loved more than he ever had any real family. His brother Fea and Haku were the only ones he needed whether they were with him or not.

However he couldn't help but wonder what it was like to have real siblings who cared for you, who were a joy to be around. So slowly he formed a question in his mind.

Whisper's voice interrupted him briefly and he gave a small and rather shy nod as he followed after her, stepping neatly through the water and up the other side. Then finally he spoke. What it like? He paused as he tried to speak the right words. What it like having brothers and sisters who nice? He tilted his head slightly, had what he said made sense? He wasn't sure but he supposed that the female would let him know if he was speaking nonsense again.

Tamiko-chan
Whisper had no way of knowing what went on in the male's head, so she was completely unaware of his thoughts. She blinked at him once more then led the way, hoping he would follow her. She didn't think Fute was at the den at the moment, for if he was he surely would have smelt his friend and came running, but it wouldn't hurt to check. Besides, what if he was sleeping? He was so cute when he was sleeping..

Then her thoughts were interrupted again by Gizmo. What was it like to have nice siblings? That came out of no where, but the omega didn't mind. Maybe this wolf didn't have any living siblings.. or, if he did, they weren't nice. "Well.." she started, trying to think of words to say. Her siblings were wonderful, but how could she explain it?

"Comforting. Nice to have brothers 'n' sister who there for you. Is wonderful."

Kimaria
The young male smiled slightly, glad that she hadn't given him any strange looks. Relief swelled through him and once more he was able to relax in her presence. There was nothing to be nervous about now that he was sure of her personality and kindness.

His mind was sometimes a very scary place, filled with fears and pains that he would never show openly. He hid them far from his own mind, not wanting to be corrupted with anger as he had seen happen to other wolves. It scared him to think that if he acted upon his fears he would turn into a demon - one that had eaten at his brother Fea. He trembled a little at that thought, a small whine emanating from his throat. The thought of hurting another was enough to make him want to give up on life and so in aid of keeping himself from such actions he had forced all hurtful thoughts from his mind. It had worked so far and always would unless of course the bubble that encased them burst.

Must be. He agreed with her, observing the female through golden orbs, I no have real brothers and sisters. He said this cautiously, still not sure whether this statement was true or not. For now however he would assume they were gone, up in the stars where they wouldn't be able to get at him. Me have Haku and Feanaro, they be pack brothers to Gizmo. He said this with a hint of pride. Me no see Haku in long time...and Fea and him no get on. His life and family was a complicated one indeed, two of his most beloved friends who just happened to be bitter enemies. He sighed and dipped his head a little, ears angled backwards glumly.

Tamiko-chan
Whisper nodded, confirming that indeed it was wonderfully nice to have loving siblings around, still unaware of the going-ons in Gizmo's head. She was concerned, however, when she heard a small whine from him. What could be wrong? Perhaps it was the fact that his pack brothers didn't get along and were probably enemies to one another. That couldn't be nice.

"I sorry to hear," she said, hoping everything would be okay for her friend. She knew Haku.. he was the alpha of Kamali's pack.. but now her brother was wandering alone and just thinking the days away. What had happened to the pack? Curious, she asked Gizmo. "Giz, what happened to Haku's pack?" If the male had no pack to return to, perhaps he could join the one Whisp was forming with her friends.. he would be very welcome there, she knew it.

Kimaria
Gizmo glanced at her sadly, it seemed she was familiar with the dark alpha who had cared for him during his vulnerable time as a packless puppy. He himself was not too sure of what had happened to the pack, it had slowly fallen apart whilst he was journeying and quenching his thirst for adventure. He regretted that now, wishing terribly that he had remained in his lands in able to keep the others together.

Me no quite sure, heard rumour that brother Haku gone missing, other wolves gone to make packs of own. Somewhere deep in his own heart Gizmo wished he could have left and made his own pack, yet he had no courage for such things. He was too kind and peaceful to protect land or pack members, he was a follower not a leader. An alpha was also in need of a mate and although he had one female in mind for this nothing had been confirmed and so he remained alone. Perhaps it would be better for him to remain packless after all, atleast it would save him all this confusion and heartache. Gaara and Lexi left to make pack, Kam-Kam gone wandering 'way and me no see other members for long time. He hoped desperately that they were all okay. Gizmo go see if he fix it, make things okay again. He nodded slowly, eyes averting to gaze ahead.

Tamiko-chan
Whisper frowned at all this information. So the pack had fallen apart and even Haku had gone missing? That wasn't a good sign. A pack was lost without its alpha to lead them and watch over them. She sighed once more, hoping the same thing wouldn't happen to her pack. What would she do if all of her friend just disappeared and nobody knew where they were or if they'd be back?

"Oh.. that's bad. Wonder what will happen to pack.." Really, she was thinking of her own, but the same question could be applied for Gizmo's. If he was to go back and try and make things better, would it work? Maybe she could help him..? No, she had her own duties with the pack she was forming with Suzaku. Yet she felt she had to do something.

"Need help. I can try to do stuff for the pack.. make better." Not much of an offer, but it was all she could give.

Kimaria
Me don't know...hope things aren't too bad. His nose wrinkled a little in thought as he traced the grass before him, intent on not letting the situation get to him. Search out Lera and see what she think. She be smartest wolf I know. He said this too with a hint of pride, for the old wolfess was dear to him, like a mother. She was his protector and superior and he would try his hardest not to let her down, she would be dearly upset at this sudden turn of events he was sure.

Yet in all this he had faith that she could led a pack alone, especially with him there to help her. He smiled very slightly and then turned kindly eyes towards the green emale once more. He was glad that they had met, for it was extremely nice to realise there were other kind souls in the forest.

You be kind wolf, I glad I meet you. He said openly, tail wagging and ears raising a little. Best not to dwell on such miserable thoughts when there were so many other good things around. He had good company, the weather was fine and he should enjoy speaking with her until the time came for him to be on his way again. I no want trouble you with pack problems. I be 'kay. He nodded firmly at this, the statement for himself as well as for her. He had to believe everything was okay or else his world would crumble.

Tamiko-chan
Another nod came from the green wolf. A kind smile played across her maw as she looked at her friend. He was so kind and caring, she wondered why he was alone at the time. He seemed like the kind of wolf that everyone would love and be friends with. She was glad they met as well.

"Me glad too. Nice to have wolf like me as friend." Her tail also gave a friendly wag, giving away her happy and easygoing nature. She was truely happy and only wished the same for her new-found friend. Yet she couldn't just let the matter of helping him slide. She still felt like she had to do something to help him out in some way. "Okay, but if Giz ever need help, ask."

Kimaria
He smiled back and nodded, walking a little more upright instead of hunched over, confidence restoring at the positive thoughts and comments heading his way. Teh sun played along his fur, casting into a dappled hue and he closed his eyes, enjoying the warmth it offered. Then after a moment or two he returned to regaurd her once more.

Me not know there be other wolf like me, though I be strange cos me no like others. He said this as simply as he possibly could, not wanting to confuse things with long words. Meeting you made me realise I not strange, I just different. I still wolf no matter what.

At her words of aid he felt his heart warm a little more and he nodded slightly, ears twitching forwards as his eyes sparkled. I be sure to find you if need help. For now me go search out ol' friends and see if they want return to pack. If not then guess me be 'lone. This prospect frightened him a little and it showed in the sudden tension of his voice. Me be 'kay no matter what happens. He was a survivor even if he did appear to be a bit of a wimp.

Tamiko-chan
Strange? If anything, Whisper was the strange one. She acted differently so many times it was hard to keep track of her personality. With her friends she was more open and playful.. but around strangers she was nervous and ever so scared. She just wished she could be and act one way without anything getting in the way of her just being herself.

"Giz not strange. Giz nice and fun to be with." And she meant it. Never before had she met another wolf she could be so comfortable around.. except maybe Kouji or Fute, but that was understandable. Another nod came from the male realizing that he was a wolf like everybody else he knew. "Yeah, Giz good wolf."

Then, with one quick movement, she pressed her nose into his neck fur then pulled away after a few moments. It was her friendly gesture to those who were close to her, but sometimes others took it the wrong way. Hopefully Gizmo would understand and realize that she meant it in a friend-to-friend sort of way..

Kimaria
Gizmo may have taken it the wrong way if his mind worked in that manner, however he was naive to such things and thought nothing more of the action than a declaration of friendship. He turned to the emerald wolf with sparkling golden eyes and gave a low whuff of happiness.

Whisper good wolf too, she not mean like some. He wagged his tail and drew forth his ears, pink tongue lolling from the side of his mouth. The dappled sunlight slid along his fur, making it gleam with health. Despite all the travelling he had done he was looking well. Muscles had strengthened from the walking and hunting and the meal he had eaten at Fea's had kept his small form well nourished.

Den nearby? He questioned, raising his muzzle to sniff loudly at the air, there were a few new scents on the breeze but nothing that smelt particularly near or close by. They must have had a well hidden den that was for sure.

In the heat of the sun
Kimaria
Gizmo turned to glance back briefly in the direction he had come and thought of the mountains he had left behind, the beauty of the magical place that belonged to Fea, his brother! A swell of pride filled his chest as he thought of the noble warrior wolf and he hoped dearly that they would meet again soon. Perhaps when he had enough courage he would return and visit them all, maybe by then Fea would have had pups of his own.

A small smile curved his maw and with newfound joy at once again being in the forest he loved he began a swift trot beneath the trees. Inhaling deeply the scent of pines he raised his ears and threw back his head, a howl rising from parted jaws.

He was home!

[ iPod ]
Sha had wandered her way out of the territory she had belonged in, Devvyl's. Alone, she padded her way slowly through territory she wasn't familiar with. Pausing, Sha peered around, and took in whiffs of the air. Her ears perked up as she heard a loud, lonely howl. Rotating into the direction of the noise, she darted forward. Maybe she'd meet another wolf. Sha had to admit, she really hated being all alone in the woods. As her eyes wandered forward, she spotted a distant figure, one of a young wolf. Sha curiously, headed towards it.

"Hello there... ?"

Kimaria
Gizmo gave a start, jumping back in an almost comical fashion, golden eyes widening a little at the new little furball that had appeared before him. With a small tilt of his head he regained his composure and lowered his head, pink nose sniffing cautiously at the female pup.

One good point about being a rather small male was that even wolves younger than him were not so put off about approaching him. Could this be the case for the young female?

He wagged his tail slightly in silent greeting and parted his maw. Hello. He spoke slowly and cautiously. Pup here all 'lone? He raised his head then and glanced around, wondering if maybe there was a pack nearby, he didn't want to cause any trouble.

[ iPod ]
Sha slowly circled Gizmo, her eyes wandering at his fur. She had a few quick sniffs and smiled, also wagging her tail. Yes, i'm all alone. Well, I wasn't not too long ago, but... I guess it was time for more excitement. I've come from Devvyl's pack.

She looked around, curiously. This was her first time in the area.
Where are we at, anyways. I'm not familiar with these parts.
Her eyes shined as she looked up at Gizmo. His fur was such pretty colours, she just wanted to stare at it all day...

Kimaria
Gizmo turned his head this way and that as she circled him, tongue lolling from the side of his mouth as he regarded her through shining orbs. He wasn't too sure who this Devvyl was although the name did seem strangely familiar and twitching his ears he nodded in agreement. Alone in forest not safe for pup. Gizmo said in slight amusement, remembering how he had been when he had been her age. He had left his pack too but he hadn't enjoyed being alone at all. This freelands, belong to no wolf, travel freely here. He nodded thoughtfully, remembering his promise to Aeria, he would go and see her before returning to his own pack.

It nice here. He wagged his tail and lowered himself, stretching his body in a play bow. I Gizmo, who you?

[ iPod ]

Sha tilted her head. Dangerous? In all the time i've been alone... nothing bad has happened to me. She sighed, and lied down, resting herself. Well, my name is Sha. She grinned. Being alone isn't the best for me, but... i'm not much of a talker, myself. I'm too shy for my own good... I just spotted you, since your the only wolf i've seen for days. Sha looked up. Even though she was saying all this stuff, she really loved being with Devvyl's pack. She felt wanted there... but, being lonely was different. Exhausted, she rested her maw on the ground, inbetween her crummy paws. Just when she was getting comfortable, her stomach began to rumble. ... I also haven't eaten in a day...

Kimaria
Gizmo exhaled and moved to lay down on the ground close to her, eyes scanning her strangely coloured fur, the blue markings that decorated her eyes, paws and tail were very captivating indeed. Sometimes bad things can happen. He mused with a twitch of his ear, me got chased by strange branch head monster one time. He shuddered at the memory and paused to take in what she was saying.

When I was pup I used to want be 'lone, scared of being teased...but I change mind and join pack. He smiled slightly and reached over to nudge at her with his nose, ears perking up at the sound of her stomach rumbling.

We hunt long-ears? He asked, knowing that he had almost mastered the skill of rabbit hunting, being too fearful to hunt anything much larger.

[ iPod ]
Sha smiled. Food would be nice... but, i've never hunted. She gave a slight frown and she looked down at the ground. She shifted around, and flopped back onto the ground as she swaped sides she was lying on. Well, I guess hunting would be fine... Raising from her spot, she smelled the air, and rotated around, searching.

Kimaria
Gizmo smiled and got to his own paws, shaking his fur and glancing around him. After a moment he raised his head and sniffed quietly, trying to find a scent of those little critters. I try teach Sha hunt. He spoke carefully, wondering if he would be able to. He had never explained how to hunt to anyone really and he wasn't sure whether it would be an easy job.

After a moment of standing he headed off at a slow gait, allowing the female to keep up with him and determined to show her how to hunt right. Long-ears like clearings with grass to eat and bushes to hide. They tricksy but also not smart, we wolves smarter. He held his head higher with pride.

[ iPod ]
Sha kneeled down her front a bit, her rump high in the air. Alright. Lets go get us some meat! She sniffed around, cautiously, rotating around a bit, searching for the rabbits. She smelled them, but she sure couldn't see them! Which way do we go?! I don't know if I can hunt any longer with this hunger, Gizmo... Sha collapsed to the ground for a rest. The sun was beating down on her black fur coat. She began to wheeze lightly. Maybe hunting wasn't for her. Peering ahead, she noticed Gizmo hadn't noticed her fall. Gizmo! Wait up! And like that, she released the pressure of her clamped jaw, and let out a loud howl.

Kimaria
Being rather pale in colour Gizmo was perhaps not too bothered by the heat as the little bundle of dark fur he had recently aquired as a friend. He heard her excitement of wanting to begin and trotted eagerly onwards, pale form standing out against the green of the trees.

The scent of rabbit was indeed somewhere close by and the excitement gathered within him as he entered hunt mode. This did not last long however as the pup released a howl and he whirled around, paws leaving the ground as he turned to see if she was okay. Trotting back to her he lowered his head and nudged at her encouragingly, tongue rasping against the soft fur of her head. Sha okay? He asked quietly.

The howl had startled a few of the rabbits into a mad dash, their little bodies scrambling through the bushes and making one hell of a racket as they went.

[ iPod ]
Sha started to go into an unconsious state. Gizmo's voice slowly began to fade away, as Sha closed her eyes. Giz -- As if the life was being drained out of her, all the movement in her paws, face, and tail shifted away. It wouldn't be long now, before she would awake, but it was best to remove her from the light of the sun, as her coat was really beginning to boil. The only thing left of her, was the loud heaves of air being circulated into her body.

Kimaria
A low whimper escaped from Gizmo and he glanced up, looking around him. Had he done something wrong? Walked too fast? Perhaps she had eaten something bad? Or even worse, been bitten by some evil crawling thing that scared him more than he would ever admit.

He reached over and gently picked her up by the scruff of her neck, aware of just how hot she felt. That couldn't be good. The sound of her breathing was the only thing he concentrated on as he made quick progress; back tracking the way he had come, aware of the shallow stream and the shade from the willow trees that would certainly help bring her temperature down.

Luckily it hadn't been too far and after a moment of making sure he held her carefully but firmly in his jaws he moved under the shade of the long-branched tree and set her down in the shallows of the water, nudging at her hopefully. He called her name softly as he waited, hoping she would be able to hear him.

Rebuilding the Pack?
Kimaria
Gizmo had met many new wolves on his journey back to his homelands and this pleased him greatly. He loved meeting a new face almot as much as that of a familiar one, and right now his packmates were on his mind. He hadn't seen them in a long time and he was desperate to return to his old lands.

There had been rumours of course that the pack was falling apart, but he would not believe this until he had seen it with his own eyes. He padded along the ground in a state of relaxation, not minding his steps and simply walking along. It was probably not the most safest thing for a lone traveller to let his guard down, but for once he felt content, especially as he was nearing his destination.

He paused and lowered his head to lap at a babbling stream to quench his thirst, pink tongue catching the water and easing the dryness that had been at his throat.

Otsune
It was a tranquil scene indeed. The sun shone gentle upon the groud, clouds idly passing by as a small breeze shook the trees. Nuts, the fruit of the trees' toil, hit together like wind chimes. Small bird sung their songs softly in the forest about how beautiful of a day it was, even with a predator nearby.

Leradien sat along the bank of the river, the water moving slowly across the rocky bottom. She laid on a grassy knoll under the shade of a maple which dappled her french grey fur with patches of shadow and sunlight. She was content, laying there, but this morning had been a morning filled with critical thought. The alpha's mind was always' reeling, toiling over decisions. Lera was not a peaceful wolf, in fact she was quite fiesty, and felt that the lone and placid life of a loner was quite boring. Her pack had, indeed, fallen apart, but she had ever intention to regain it's magnificense. She was no loner, she was a alpha filled with pride. With an aging body her facial fur had begun to white, most noticably around the lips. Yet the brilliant gleam of her eyes remaind, and forever they shall.

Yet this alpha's pack had fallen, her mate vanished, her children off to live their ow lives. She had been left with in the company of herself and therefor sat with a sorrwful face under that maple. A good mourn would benefit anyone that hadn't had one in ages, and apparently it was Lera's turn.

Because of this working mind she did not notice the presense of Gizmo, she did not hear his footfalls, and she did not smell him. Quite a dangerous position to be in, but these lands had never changes and Lera felt confident that no harm would come to her.

Kimaria
Gizmo had never been the observant sort, but as he stood beside the water his gaze fell upon the sorrowful form of a female wolf he knew all too well. His heart skipped a beat as he realised that he had finally met with his alpha, Lera! He hadn't seen her in such a long time and seeing her in a somewhat dreary state made him feel guilty for staying away so long.

What could a youngster such as him say to her? He was older now but still rather naive when it came to problems that haunted most others. She too seemed to have aged but he decided it gave her a more intelligent and wise appearance that suited her. She was one of the most clever wolves he had ever met and therefore had complete respect for her authority.

Pawing sheepishly at the ground he moved towards her at a slow pace, a bashful look upon his features. Small for an adult he was but he had indeed grown. Would she realise where he had been? With the enemy...a wolf he knew she hated. His ears drooped a little and he moved ever nearer. Then finally when he was within hearing distance he lowered his head in submission and spoke. Ma'am...you okay?

Otsune
Leradien's head was in the clouds, her mind sunken within it's own thoughts. Her eyes had a distant expression, the only for that she was actually living was the slight twitch of her tail or an ear. She was in a deep state of pensive and saddening meditation and it was only an approaching wolf's words that broke that transcendental thought.

Ma'am...you okay?

The she-wolf exhaled, blinking a few times before her head lifted off from the earthen floor, her neck twisting to get a good look at the wolf in front of her. Her vision was blurry at first, her eyes being left open for so long, but after a few seconds of focusing her vision she finally gave a nod of acknowledgment, a small grin upon her face. "Ma'am? You talk as if you didn't know me," she said, disregarding his concern. Afterall, she was quite alright. "It's been a while...you've grown." Leradien stated this rather bluntly, her golden eyes darting curiously at the young male's new figure, scutenizing every aspect of him. Her comment about his growth seemed apathetic, however, as it was just an observation spoke aloud.

Lera then shook her head and stretched out a paw to lift herself upright which proved a difficult task. She shouldn't really lie down for that long...

Kimaria
Gizmo took note of her surprise at seeing him and realised just how much she had changed. The Lera he had known would never have overlooked anything, she was always so attentative so filled with energy and life. This very prospect frightened him more than he would ever say, for surely if Lera was looking this lost then somethign truly had happened to the pack. Where was Haku? Where were her children? He had never really had time to get to know Lera's own pups but he was sure that they had to be somewhere around.

You be alpha, I be respectful... He said weakly, putting on the best smile he could conjure at that moment in time. Where....where Haku? He swallowed nervously and glanced around. I-is pack okay? He winced a little at his own words, afraid of hearing the answer but also afraid of not knowing.

He moved closer to her side as she tried to move and nudged at her gently with his nose in encouragement. This wasn't the Lera he knew and it glossed his tears with grief at seeing her this way. Was there anything he could do? He wasn't sure and felt afraid to ask.

Me sorry I left...I had to...had to visit someone... He trailed off once more, feeling the swell of guilt crushing him. He never should have gone...never should have left his pack...this was all his fault!

Otsune

The nose of encouragement was well accepted, and she did manage to sit. Yet her face was still filled with a youthful vivacity, that although didn't show on the outside, was still notcable in her eyes. Lera was a proud wolf, she had been and always would be. She mumbled her soft thanks to him as he moved to her side and talked of how he should be respectful in the presense of an alpha. Yet this emotion didn't last long, it was only the mention of Haku that managed to break the ever strong willed Lera.

Where....where Haku?

The alpha felt as if her throat and stomach had been instantanously tied in knots. Her face grew horrifically painful and depressed, brows knitting upwards, a frown on her snowy lips evident. It was if she had just recieved a heavy blow to her stomach, her breath taken from her and thus she shuttered when she exhaled, telling a winded answer. "I...don't know" She missed him, longed for him, the other alpha, her mate, her lover, Haku. It was a truely weak moment in the life of Lera, one that could rival her moments with Notoka so many months ago.

At the mention of the pack Lera felt as if she could speak no more, and merely hung her head, eyes to the gound, and moved her ashen cranium from side to side. The future of the pack was unkown, although she wanted to revive it. The wolves had seperated, dispersed, some never to be seen again.

Yet more encouragement was given. She had one of those lost pack members by her side, and that was helpful in it's own light. The snese of Gizmo's greif overwhelmed Lera's senses, especially her seer ones, it was now her turn to comfort a comrad. "No Gizmo, do not be sorry," she said, eyes moving to gaze into his, everlasting wisdom residing in them.

Kimaria
He moved to sit closer to her, fur brushing lightly against hers as he watched the strong figure of a wolf slowly break down. It seemed this female was suffering too and because of the disapearance of Haku. What had happened to his dear brother? The dark wolf he loved more than any blood brother, the one who had cared for him when he had been a scrap of a pup. He whimpered quietly at her answer and nodded slowly, moving to hide his face against her shoulder.

It seemed his old life had gone, the pack he loved with all his heart was slowly fading from existance. Could something be done about this? He hoped so. With an affectionate nuzzle to his alpha he looked up at her. She was telling him not to be sorry? Ah yes...he shouldn't forget her special powers, the abilities that made her an even more fiersome wolf to meddle with.

Me think Haku be alright. He said softly with a slight wag of his tail, brother too strong and stubborn. He gave a small laugh at this and glanced at Lera, noticing the shine in her eyes.

Me not let pack fade! It be my home...filled with friends... His ears lowered a little as he spoke this, but the hope had been rekindled in his heart. I proud to be in your pack Lera...always will be.

Otsune
That was one thing that made Gizmo stand out from the rest: he held infinate courage and belief. Even when the smallest glow of hope persided Gizmo always had the ability to turn that glow into a flame. Lera recognized and congratulated it, always being awed by him. She, herself, was never a wolf to just merely give up yet things seemed so bleak now...so hopeless. She no longer had her mate, she no longer had her children, and she no longer had her pack.

The femme felt the brush of fur against her own, her body giving a light tremble. Leradien had been so reclusive for such a long time, seldom comming in contact with others, and now the talk of reforming her pack...? The idea waivered, her mind processing it and thinking it over. There were so many other packs forming, malicious ones she's heard of.

She then listened to Gizmo's encouragement of Haku's existment. Strong and stubborn, hah. If anything Kau always seemed to give up so easily. At this thought the female let loose a smile, thinking about her mate. Upon making eye contact with Gizmo she felt his mind surged with that flame. His heartfelt words were certainly aspiring...yet she had grown older, her faith dwindiling each day.
"Pride...you have pride and I thank you for that," her sentence didn't exactly make sense, but Lera expressed her eternal grattitude to the young wolf. "Yet there are so many other packs forming, and only so many wolves. I have aged," Leradien admitted, "I doubt wolves would follow an elder, regardless of her wisdom, as most packs form through friendships." the older female thought for a while about to say something but then silencing herself.

Kimaria
He felt her tremble but chose to ignore it for the time being, he just wanted to try and cheer her up, not allow her to give up hope completely. When they still had breath in their lungs there was indeed still hope. They could spread the word, try and loacte where Haku was and find old pack members. He knew for a fact that Kam-Kam was still around, although he had also found a mate of his own and may not wish to return.

You like mother to Gizmo, you care for me when no one else would. You and Haku will be my alpha's whether pack exist or not. He said firmly, finally remembering why he had stayed so loyal to the pair. Even when he had heard terrible things about his brother he had stayed on his side, determined not to listen. Remembering the past with his alpha now helped him realise he had made the right choice by leaving Fea's land. No matter how much he cared for the so called demon wolf, this was where he truly belonged.

Age no matter Lera, you brave, strong and smart. He nodded firmly, there be lots of packs yes but how many say they have seer in theirs? If our pack be small it be easily overlooked, we leave peacefully whilst others fight. Yes it seemed he was still a true pacifist at heart.

I look for Aeria soon, and others too, we be pack again. Me 'fraid of being 'lone again. He admitted softly, tipping his head forwards a little.

Otsune
Gizmo's words sunk deep into Lera's soul. She truely had been a mother figure to most of the wolves in her pack, gaara, Lexi, gizmo, Kamali....The thought was bittersweet. Yet her fire was rekindled at the thought that all of these wolves were alive and well. Yes...
His flattery was also appreciated. Brave, strong, smart, these words made her grin, her nose wrinkling just the slightest as if a young child was scrunching his or her nose. These words didn't seem to fit the wolf that had been lying on the ground just moments before. Yet here she was, talking to a packmate and speaking of brining their own group back to life. Gizmo seemed unusually dedicated for having the scent of Fea on him, yet Lera disregarded this acting as if she didn't notice. He was still the wolf he ahd always been.

"Your words are convincing," she said, her body returning to a proud stance, chin lifting. "And I suppose we could try to ressurect our lost pack, hopefully the wolves haven't all fallen under the other pack's spell..." Yet Lera liked the thought of a small pack...their old one had been far to big.

Kimaria
Lera seemed a little happier now atleast and that lifted a great weight from the young male. Talking about such plans made him firmly believe this was going to happen and he knew that sooner or later Haku would turn up. For now they could collect wolves - new and old - who shared the same peaceful intents and make a new haven better than the last. No point dwelling on the past, it was there to learn from not to keep you from moving on.

I sure many of them just wandering, want meet new wolves. They return soon. He nodded in agreement, a pleasant smile appearing on his fuzzy face so genuine that it glittered in his eyes.

He got to his paws and shook his fur, nudging at Lera playfully with the flat of his skull. Things soon be okay Lera, you see. He wagged his white plume of a tail happily, glad that he had been able to light a little hope. Perhaps he was of use after all.

Otsune
Her heart had indeed been lifted and a new light could be seen in her eyes. She now had a purpose, she now had a role, and nothing could stop Lera once she had gotten going. Before her departure her name had been spoken thought the area, she had been an infamous figure. Yet now that had faded and once again she would prove her worth.

Yet Did Gizmo know that Gaara and Lexi would not be returning...? Along with her own daughter, Nile. Her chest heaved, releasing a slight sigh from her lungs yet the porspect of adding new wolves to the group was promising. Perhaps her being a seer, like Gizmo said, would add further protection? Afterall, Lera had surpassed both Lewain and Isaac in her abilities, her mind being the strongest in the woods.

She then addepted the nudge of the calico cranium, giving a toothful grin as she pushed his head away with a cream paw. She then stood herself, her body now regaining some of it's youthful aspects by taking a powerful and dominant stance. She lightly claspd Gizmo's ear in her mouth, tugging at it gently. Your faith is contagious, she said to him through telepathy, her own tail wagging slightly.

"ah well, then,"
she said, releasing his ear and moving aside, "don't you have a certain she wolf to find?" Leradien said with curiosity, obviously referring to Aeria.

Kimaria
He felt his heart swell with joy once more, everything would be okay, it had to be! With a powerful seer helping him rebuild their pack they could not fail. He would find wolves, new and old, he would ask them if they wished to join. If no then that was fine, if yes then he would show them the way to a peaceful haven. His fear of staying alone forever further riled him into gaining new friends and he knew it was possible.

His tail thrashed from side to side as if it had a life of it's own and he gave an excited yip as Lera nipped at his ears. Her voice in his head - which had once been unnerving - was now a soothing entity that he loved, and it helped his beliefs grow further. Everything would be alright.

Yes me go find her, bring her back, find others too, things be okay. He took a few steps back, tail ever wagging and posture much more confident. He had forgotten that Lera was not just alpha, she was friend, mother and seer. She would forever be queen of this forest no matter what wolves said otherwise.

I howl for you, find you when I done. He said to her. me promise to come back and look for you.

Otsune
Lera would, too, seek out others. Yet unfortunately Lera seemed to be the most unsocial out of the two. Yes, she had easily met and brefriended many wolves in her younger age but now...well now things were still uncertain in her mind, but that would just have to do. Gizmo seemed awfully excited and so she decided not to damper the moment with her big mouth. Instead she smiled with happiness....which she hadn't done in ages.

Lera then nodded at Gizmo's words, "I will wait for that time," she replied. Giz seemed horribly enthusiastic as well. Why hadn't he set up his own pack? Thoughts like that make her giggle like a small puppy, yet she resisted. The fae gave a final nod before turning to move along side the river eventually breaking off and heading into the forest. Yes, she would definatly see Gizmo again and hopefully other wolves as well.
