She held the back of her hand to her nose, this figure's oder somewhat offensive. "I do not." She said starchly, her eyes as unreadable as the weather seemed to be. Erin looked at the rag covered figure and shook her head, "No, I haven't any bloody money on me but I can't every well let some jerk decide to rid the world of ya." She stood and took the man's arm. "Come on, I'll cook you something... I haven't cooked for anyone in a long time, but it's better than the diet you've been on." She said, leading him to an old and rusted out car that she'd salvaged from a junk yard. "But I'm warning you... You are going to take a bath before I feed you... and you will wear clean clothes..." She opened the passanger side door. She'd made up her mind to meet Tamara, but later, when she could wrap her rather spread thin self around the enormity of what was taking place.

Making sure not to make eye contact with the charitable girl, he let himself be led, watching the ground and stepping over things in the way. "You're acting like I enjoy neglecting my hygiene." he said with a hoarse voice, clue to his dehydration. With her words, his unsaid threats found no ground, and he instantly forgot them, trudging along after her, occasionally adjusting his blindfold. Wufei stepped into the car's middle seat, which had been removed to make room for her furniture (I hope I understood it right where you live ><). Now, he just had to get what he could eat, then he wouldn't bother her any longer. Still, it had been awhile since anyone had paid attention to him... he dared ask, "Why take pity on me?" he coughed dryly, holding his throat. "Errhh... got anything to drink?"

She shrugged, "Because I'm a creepy lady who likes to take vagabonds to her pretty little cottage and bury in her back yard to feed her African Violets." She closed her door with a rattling slam and started the engine. It's appearance put aside it purred like a kitten as she pulled out. She reached back into the back seat and handed him a large thing of Gatorade. "I'm not acting like you enjoy it so much as I don't to a great degree." She grinned from under her hat, "Bit' of a neat freak." She smirked as she rounded a corner. It was a good hour before they pulled up to her small cottage, "Alright, shower's in the door, and to the left. Clean towels are in there, I'll get you some clean clothes in a minute, they'll be outside the door when your done cleaning up. I'll go get dinner started." She smiled and cut the engine, sliding out of the seat.

Tamara couldn't exactly pinpoint where this new magician was... but she got a flash of one of the adversaries nearby, but then, it was gone.

"So, Kemry, how long have you known you were a magician?" She tried to make conversation whilst heading as quickly as possible towards the faerie tree in the park.

Tamara sincerely hoped that that flash she had was just paranoia. She didn't think a sketchbook dog would fare well against an adversary...

Kemry glanced down at the creature and laughed sarcastically as it pulled on the makeshift leash she had made of one of her fathers rappelling ropes.

"I think that would have to be somewhere between when you rang the doorbell and--" she lurched forward as the creature spotted a squirrel, but she held her ground, "and when this guy showed up in a storm of playful destruction." At least it wasn't as malevolent as my initial intention. I wonder why... Kemry glanced back up at Tamara, a subtle flicker of concern flashing across the girl's face.

"Is something wrong?" she asked cautiously, "You weren't eavesdropping on my thoughts were you?" she was afraid that after finally finding somewhere she could belong she might once again be turned away. She tried carefully to clear her thoughts as she shifted the large, heavy bag so sketchbooks on her shoulder.

"I can't listen to what you aren't projecting, but you did project that one statement pretty well. It's ok, I've wanted to make up lots worse things than bad doggies in my time... We'll be at the faerie tree soon." She walked quickly, sensing both the magician and the adversary fade away as if she was getting further from them.

"Once we're there I can explain a lot more in detail, where we can't be overheard..." Tamara cocked her head as if listening to a distant sound, then shook her head.

"I can never tell how close they are until it's almost too late..." she muttered.

"Pardon me, laddies." Shin tapped his finger lightly on the back of Tamara's head. "But what do you think you're doing here, hmm?" His voice was neither cold nor welcoming, and his eyes held a friendly, yet dangerous, twinkle.

The dog bristled slightly and Paintbrush, his small lithe form perched on Kemry's shoulder, growled deeply. They both reflected Kemry's unease at this persons sudden appearance, and the twinkle in his eye felt vaguely familiar.

"I assume you meant 'ladies' not 'laddies'." Remarked Kemry, slightly annoyed to have been referred to as a boy. "And as to what we're--" she was cut off as the dog darted forward, its crested ears tilted at an intimidating angle, flared out to make itself bigger. A deep growl rumbled in its chest, puzzling Kemry. Distracted she muttered to the creature, "What's gotten into you? You act as if there were something dangerous around. Come on you." she tugged on its collar as Paintbrush hissed in her ear, his claws digging into her shoulder painfully. Turning to Tamra she shrugged, puzzled as she dragged the dog back.

"I don't know what's gotten into them, sorry..." she winced as Paintbrush dug deeper, and shifted her shoulder slightly. With both hands full of the dog's rope she couldn't dislodge the upset cat without dumping him on the ground where he'd probably run off.

"Well, I thought you were moving away instead of closer... I must train myself to make out multiple magicians easier or we'll all be victims of the adversaries, and neither your ability with wind or your bird spies will be able to save you, Shin." Tamara smiled and took a step back, surveying him.

"If you wish to know more... like how I read your name out of your mind just now, or how I can see what your talents are, or whom the adversaries that would manipulate or destroy you are... follow us. If not..." Tamara shrugged, "If not... at least I warned you."

She forced a smile and kneeled. "Quiet, puppy. I know you sense a lot of magic nearby, and it has you anxious. It's all right..."

Tamara stood, turned and started walking towards the center of the park.

OOC: FiniczKaz, please try and make your posts longer. Two lines doesn't do much, especially for an introduction. I don't want to be draconic about this, but I practically used more words opening the RP up for you to join than you used in your post. Realize all my character does is "See" magic and its practitioners. By "sneaking up" on Tamara, you in essence took away her power, which is something you don't want to do to any player. I explained it away this time... but it kind of annoyed me when I first read it. I realize everyone wants to make their characters "cool" and I am all for that, but flaunt your coolness without taking away from others, K?

Just a friendly reminder.

Thanks!
TJ

Wufei was struck quiet by the terrifying response, not sure of whether to take her seriously or no. After all, his own abilities were pretty unusual too. He felt cautious as he picked up the Gatorade offered to him, which he promptly opened with much less caution and began to drink huge gulps, then stumbled forward, coughing. After having not drank anything for at least a day, stumbling around in this blistering heat, it was difficult to hold himself back from the drink, "Uhhrr..." he felt like retching, and very nearly did. The only thing that kept whatever was down there down was the fact that he hadn't eaten anything to retch up... still, he coughed up some bile onto the ground in the back of the car. "F*ck... got your car dirty." he wasn't the type to apologize, even though he secretly always did. He was a bit of a loner, hating to have help, but accepting it when he needed it. He got out of the car, holding his stomach in the rags, and entered the house with them, making a note to clean that later. He didn't like to be rude, despite his ego. He shuffled into the restroom, closing the door behind him. Very quickly, he made himself rid of the filthy rags, and the eye-cloth was also removed, revealing eerily bright green eyes. They looked unnatural with clarity, despite the dirt that he had accumulated from the clothing on his skin. Even despite that, he was fairly lanky, not much muscle, and pale to make sure. Although he didn't get out much... he had to back those years ago, and had been living by a thread since. Thinking about this, he lifted his leadweight feet into the shower and turned on the water, closing the curtain. Sighing, he mumbled things to himself, his own best friend through these ten years.

Tamara sincerely hoped that that flash she had was just paranoia. She didn't think a sketchbook dog would fare well against an adversary...

Kestrad landed gently on the town's road, brushing short brown-red strands of hair out of her dark orange eyes, slightly annoyed that she always had to rely on other demons to travel by magic. A drab, tight brown dress covered her to complement her human appearance. Immediately, she felt the air flooded by the availability of air and water magic, as well as some strange power she couldn't quite place. Puzzled, she borrowed the air magic to make herself invisible and tried to trace the source. As she arrived at where the magical aura felt strongest, she caught a glimpse of three humans.
But humans don't have magic, she mused. Confused, she walked away from them, to a small meadow that was her favorite place to work her spells.

Fully an hour later, Kestrad finished singing her last note and scanned the peaceful blue skies. Soon enough, a golden streak approached to answer her call. Out of the sky and into her arms, a phoenix landed. She stroked him absently as he chirped, a golden liquid sound. "Well, aren't you a handsome fellow," she said to him. The phoenix turned and regarded her for a moment, then started preening his glossy feathers. Kestrad smiled. At least he was at ease with her; she would not have to deal with a nervous bird like last time.

OOC: I haven't gotten responses from either Kemry or Shin. The following RP assumes that Kemry and Tamara move on to the Faerie Tree with Shin following them. Tamara knows only people with Magic can enter the Tree, and that the Adversaries don't seem to like to go near it. This means you Kestrad wink Its not a hard and fast rule but its kinda our 'base' you're allowed to have a safe 'base' too that we cannot or will not go, just to keep us on a level playing field Wufei, Erin.. whats goin on with your RP?

"Now, I sensed an adversary nearby too, when we came here to the tree... I will call to the other Magician I contacted, and see if she can or will come here..." Tamara explained.

She closed her eyes and called out to Erin, 'I have located other magicians, and we are at the place we mentioned... come here if you can.'

Erin laid a set of clothing outside the door of the bathroom, including a pair of good socks and boots. All of the clothing were hers, but they were mens clothing for when she went hiking. She assued, that even though he'd been covered from head to toe in cloth that she'd sized him up rather well. She went to her garden to pick some fresh vegitables and fruits. By the time she heard the shower stop she had tea and a light appitizer on the table, and a good thick tomato soup ready to serve. With a patient diligance she checked the main course, a heavy roast with potatoes, leaks, and other various goods. Satisfied she let the roast cook and served the soup into rather large bowls. "Hurry before the soup cools too much!" She called. She poured him a glass of clear cool water and set it at his place at the table, assuming from his voice of his dehydration.

(ooc: sorry, I thought my character was far enough away from the tree. Hopefully this post won't interfere with the story, but if it does, I'll delete it.)

Carrying the phoenix, Kestrad returned to the spot in the park where she had seen the humans, remembering it by a large, strange tree about four yards away. The humans were gone now, but the strong sense of magic still was there. She stepped just a little closer to the tree and she felt something similar to an electric shock flash through her body.

"Ow!" Cursing, she nearly dropped the bird, who chirped indignantly. Now why would there be something of fairy make in the middle of the park, and why hadn't she ever noticed it before? Gingerly, she stepped away from the tree and headed back to her meadow, well away from the burning fairy magic.
