While I tend to agree with you, especially with mono-black Vampires looking like a good budget deck at the moment, Korlash is a Legendary creature.
I really can't pick on you, though - I was halfway to listing Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir and explaining his awesomeness before I had realized he was Legendary. =(

Back in my younger days, I'd make sure I fit four of them into every last one of my decks I played with. It was my 'token' card =P. Still, A cheap 0/7 or four is great for hurting weenie decks, and even big hitters.

An okay blocker that can't tackle flying creatures and can only do 1 damage when attacking. Chaplains a great card, but there's alot better things to stick on it than ROM
But you gotta work with what you have at hand. besides, even without ROM, he has won me quite a few games with my Cleric Deck.
Plus there's always the psychological game.
"Oh, you have 12 life left? That gives you twelve turns, at best, to win. Twelve turns in a best case scenario my friend. Have you got the balls?"

as Lorwyn/shadowmoore block falls out, i bid a fond farewell to my treefolk deck and my favorite tree, Leaf-Crowned Elder. That card + Cream of the Crop in my deck ment that i was never going to have a bad draw...ever

I through that same card on a raven guildmaster plus use any of the hundred blue cards that make it unblockable or just bounce and boomerange whatever you planned on blocking with and I can end the game in at most 6 turns, and thats assuming I'm not running other mill cards that haven't gotten rid of most of your deck yet

Firemane Angel for the art, but is still a pretty fun card. Skyknight Legionnnaire, Boros Swiftblade, and Sunhome Enforcer bring the fun. Newer cards? Goblin Guide is a fun start, and Thornling is friggin amazing!
A black 7/7 for only 3 mana? Bloody sign me the ******** up.

My favorite non-legend has to be Llanowar Elves. A classic staple in ANY green deck. A 1/1 little Elf Druid that can tap to produce an addition green mana. I have 4 Llanowar in pretty much any green deck I build. I love him.
