((Tithe))
You are greeted with a long, empty stretch of hallway, moving off to your left and right. Indicating the rightmost direction, Jace mused,
I came from far down that way. There's a service elevator over there, and I was going to try to operate it until I heard you...well...thinking. Yeah.
The steel corridor was lined with thick doors, each with a similar metal knob and absolutely NO writing or discerible markings on them.
How strange that the place was so...exposed and unguarded. Something was definitely not right about that, for starters.

To the service elevator!
A normal person may have wanted to check the rooms, but Tithe had a hunch that they would generally be the same, which meant she would hate every single room they visited.
But...
But first let's check some of these doors.
((OoC: What happened to the caption contest? Did nobody else send one in other than my horrible attempt at humor?))

[Ooh, thanks for reminding me! You won.]
The elevator it was. No problem. Just a few seconds of rolling and...
WAIT. What was that? Over in the distance...a shadow! Damn!

Anima Shadow rolled 1 20-sided dice:
5
Total: 5 (1-20)

Light, Darkness. Why couldn't it all just be gray?
Then Tithe wouldn't of had to deal with the darn shadow.
(OoC: So... Was I the only one who entered?
Also: Damn dice! Why must you hate me so?! I think I'll take a chance at the weapon...))

Hm...it didn't look like a guard's shadow, but more that of...a young woman. After a brief bout of concentration, Jace seemed to ease up a bit.
I...yeah, I think it's the one who saved me...I don't remember her voice extremely well, but I think this is the one. We don't have to go over there; only if we really WANT to should we approach...

...
Tithe hated temptation. Or at least, now she did. It was just another thing to add to the list of things she hated.
Looking back and forth between the shadow and the elevator, Tithe couldn't make up her mind. If it really was the girl that had freed Jace, then they be able to team up.
But if it wasn't, and it was a guard, then they'd be walking straight to their doom.
What the heck, she'd already done some stupid things today, one more didn't make a difference.
Continue on to the elevator. We don't need to take any risks.
She hoped she wouldn't regret it.

Mounted on the wall to the right of the elevator doors was a small metal panel with two simple buttons.
Up and down.

Up. Down.
This place seemed like the kind of complex that would be underground. And Tithe wanted out of here, so up it was.
Reaching out, she punched the button labeled "Up".

The doors swung open abruptly, and she could feel Jace's mind jump with surprise as hers had. Man, this place gave a bad impression.
The question still remained: Why hadn't anyone found them yet? Was the building THAT understaffed? Jesus.

Maybe they were understaffed...
Or... As this new idea came into her head, she couldn't help but shudder. What if the people wanted them to escape? What if, at the end of their journey, there would only be more tribulations?
What if they had intentionally made it so that, with some effort, the prisoners could escape?
Creepy thoughts, but in the end, useless. It took quite a bit to phase Tithe, and this just didn't do it.
Well... Let's go.
With the recent revelation still echoing inside her head, she turned around in the seat and shouted down the hall in the direction of the shadow.
"We're heading up to escape, if you want, follow us up!"

The figure didn't seem to move all that much, but something else seemed to stir, off in the distance...
Inside the dull, steel-based elevator, there were 10 buttons, each with a number from 1-10. A novel idea, that. Ooh, look! They were on the third floor, judging by the already lit #3 button glowing against the cold shine of the surrounding metal.
The doors closed.

...Tithe was tired of hating things. So she decided she would simply dislike the feeling she got from the second figure that had stirred in the distance.
Enough with this dislike and hate and whatnot. It was time she came to like something, and it just so happened to be the button labeled "Ten". It sounded so close to freedom, and all she had to do was reach out and touch it.
But it wasn't fair to make all the group's decisions, especially from her wheelchair, so she decided to ask Jace.
What do you think? Should we explore, or go all the way to the top? she asked Jace, turning to the young boy.

Well, I think we shoul-whaaa?
The elavator began moving without any warning....upwards. The digital numbers up above climbed slowly. 4...5...6...eventually reaching 10. Humming to a standstill, the metal chamber locked in place and the doors opened to a blank hallway, white and pristine.
Good as new.
The only way to go was straight, along a singular path that cut right after a short distance.

I didn't touch nothin'
Which was true, she hadn't touched anything. It seemed that there was someone else that was controlling the elevator. Strange.
Looking out into hallway, she sighed in disgust at the white that greeted them. Why couldn't they at least choose something that was more soothing? Blue was nice. Blue kept her calm, made her less prone to her outbursts.
Well... Let's go. she thought to the boy, as there was nothing else to really do, and there was no point in going down.

After about a few steps, another telepathic voice cut through the pair's consciousness, throwing both off guard for a second.
Welcome, my precious escapees...please, follow this path to begin the trail to...pure enlightenment....
?
Yes. ? was the best way to describe it.
