((*shrug* request: Could you please wait for my post after House and Wilson returned before they go inside? I'm rather busy, but I think that's when I'll have Chase see them and all. ))
PostPosted: Wed Feb 20, 2008 12:17 pm

((M'kay, if you're on and such I'll totally wait for it))

House had million of thoughts buzzing through his mind, could he honestly tell Jimmy how he felt? No, not yet, he couldn't tell Wilson that he loved him. Well without sounding utterly sarcastic anyways. So he would just let it pass, he would let Wilson slip away just like he had let so many people slip away. He sighed slightly, it reverberated through his back.

They were pulling up to the hospital and House was beginning to slow down. He knew that Cuddy would not be pleased, she might even be to ticked to come and see him. She would probably send an intern or whatever to berate him. He parked the bike in his usual parking space and waited for Wilson to get off first. It was decided, he wouldn't tell Wilson.

((Might not be best letting go House, or Chase will push his way into that picture O.o I can sense the regret!! 8D))

Wilson opened his eyes as the bike came to a slow stop. They were already at the hospital, he cursed silently. Once the bike stood motionless, he leaned to the side as he slipped of the bike. He tugged the helmet off of his head, running a hand through it to hopefully put it back in place. As he met eyes with House, he smiled slightly. All of this was still awkward for him, now it was out in the open that he lost his interest in men. Though the longer he thought about it, the more he wondered if he ever did. While he waited for House to get off the bike, he took hold of his to-go box and leaned against the bike.

House got off the bike slowly, trying to ease off. The pain in his leg was a dull throbing pain at the moment. He got off the bike fully and grabbed his cane, he looked at Wilson with a curious look. "So what guy really lights your fire? I mean whats your type?" He was teasing him slightly but he was actually a bit interested. He was trying to push the nagging voice that was calling him a coward out of his head.

"Do you want a man that is rough and tough? Or a man that you can bring home to mom and dad?" House was pulling away from using Wilson's name now, pushing him away again. He reassured himself that he was doing it for Wilson, it wasn't healthy to have a narcisistic, bitter, and socially inept best friend.

Wilson looked at House, both were now leaning against the bike. Now he seemed to go back to normal, no longer using his name. It pained him a bit, House always pushed him away, even now when he knew a bit of what House was feeling. Maybe it was Houses way of crawling back, noticing he was getting to close for comfort. Which made their relationship more then platonic less likely. He was needy, in a sense as least. House didn't need to change, but he wished things went back to when Stacy was there. Better yet, when she wasn't.

He was different before her. Though he was always sarcastic and bitter, a preferred loner, they were closer. It was only Houses father he always seemed to hate, the one that made him what he was today. If House was like this as a child he was not sure, but he was sure his father did a number. He couldn't see House not being sarcastic at all, but things weren't like this before Stacy. She only wanted to help, but she only made things worse. Since then House was distant and untrusting, even with Wilson. That was what hurt the most, he felt less cared for because of it. Plus..if Stacy never came along, he would have better odds at winning House.

Stacy, though House now did not trust her, he did lover her. She was a major part of his world and she made him happy. Though she screwed up once, it was a big mistake, if not for that he was sure House would still be with her. How could he possibly compare to her, even when she was not with him she still held his heart. House would never love him like he loved her, Wilson couldn't compete with her, never make him as happy. Slowly, the fantasy of actually having a deeper love with House faded and looked less likely. Nothing could make House smile like Stacy did...what was he pretending..it would never work.

He turned his attention to House, unknowing his stare was still spacey. There was already an excuse in mind if House asked. He knew what he had to do, lie through his teeth.

"I honestly don't know...I mean this happened more suddenly. Of course it was probably always there, but I couldn't see it. That or I didn't want to. Though I suppose it could go either way, as long as I knew I was loved and I loved them I would be fine." he replied. "Besides I don't think I would be comfortable letting my parents know..they already were upset with all the failed marriages." he said with a light chuckle, trying to lighten the mood, but he was still obviously being very open and vulnerable to House.

House wanted to ask, almost needed to ask if Wilson had ever thought of him like that. He looked at Wilson, his blue eyes looked almost sad but it very well could be the pain dulling the fierce blue hue. He sighed and rubbed his temples for a moment, he knew he could ask it sarcastically but that wouldn't get him the answer. Plus it would only upset Wilson, "We've been friends for years, right?" It was clearly an already answered question. "So if you felt like this for a long time...did you..." He looks at Wilson but then just looked away and drummed his fingers on his bike.

House couldn't ask, he didn't want to. Well that wasn't exactly the case, he wanted to ask but he feared for the answer. If he did think of House that way, should House tell him his feelings? Would that be best for Jimmy? Stacy had made it hard for House to trust anyone but the only person he knew that he could possibly trust would be Wilson. He had been there for a long time, by his side, no matter what hell House put him through. He almost laughed at the thought of it. Was Jimmy a glutton for punishment or something? Maybe he was into that kind of thing. House shook his head slightly, realizing that he had left off without asking a question. He knew he couldn't ask it, because he was just as afriad of Jimmy answering no then he was if he answered yes.

This was one of the times that House wished that Jimmy was determined enough to force an answer or question in this case from him. He needed an answer but he couldn't even ask the question. He looked back at Wilson, looking at him in a way that he didn't often let himself do. He observed the curve of his jaw, his big brown eyes, and those soft kissable lips. But House just frowned and took the cowards way out, "Never mind."

((Oohh, nice post ;D))

Wilson looked away during the silence, staring back at the hospital. How unprofessional must it have looked for two doctors to just be standing in the parking lot? He could almost hear Cuddys voice raging about how the image of the hospital was being tainted. It was humorous to imagine, he couldn't help but chuckle. Cuddy was a sweet woman and he liked and respected her. Besides, she was the only one besides him that could handle House, they found that in common. Then, Houses voice snapped him out of any other thought as he turned to face him.

House seemed to slur his question, but he still kept eye contact willing to wait. Then House looked away, seeming to look anywhere but at him. He grew a little concerned and confused as he watched him. What was on Houses mind that he could not seem to bring himself to ask? He leaned forward slightly, trying to spot Houses expression.

"House?" he asked softly, though his head leaned back sharply as House looked up at him.

Mainly it was to avoid crushing their heads together, but how fast House was before meeting their gaze made his heart skip of beat. There it was again, the same glance that made him feel excited yet hurt. Looking deeper though, he could see Houses emotions. Normally people could be put off by those eyes, but the right person could look and see that they were actually the one thing that gave away Houses every feeling. There was feeling that House was scanning him, looking for something, or even at something. There was something bothering him, but when he told him to forget it, he figured it best to let it slide. He looked back to the hospital for a moment, before turning back to House.

"Could you...just not tell anyone? I will...but I don't feel comfortable doing it now." he asked sincerely.

House looked at Wilson, recovering his usual stare. He saw Wilson try to search his gaze. "Fine I wont out you but remember to invite me to the party." He said with a grin, but it faded due to the irritation he was feeling with himself. He was letting this feeling build up, he was letting his anger, frustration, and perhaps depression add together. He looked at Wilson with a renewed stare, his blue eyes fierce now and more penetrating then usual. He was going to snap, and he knew it, this would either be really bad or maybe it would turn out okay. Usually he just suppressed these emotions with his medication but now he was letting them rage about.

House grabed Wilson and pulled him close to him. His lips met Wilson's, all fear and doubt subsided for a moment. It was wonderful to feel those soft lips against his. But soon the horrible and crippling fear came back. What if Wilson didn't want this? Would he hate him? Would he stop talking to him? Would he think he was playing with him? Would he abandon him? As the questions stacked against him, he began to pull back, realizing what a mistake it was to do this. He pulled back and looked away, "I'm sorry..."

((XDDDD I can see it now. Wilson covering his mouth, would be on the ground if not being held up by the bike. And House looking away in a huff, cheeks slightly red. >x3 Though now I need to think of how he can hide his feelings from House without hurting his feelings(yet) and be convincing..though I dont think even House is planning to admit anytime soon, so there we go xD))

Wilson laughed softly, now that he was secure it was easier to take jokes. A smile was on his face, one of those cute boyish grins House got out of him every so often with his jokes. His eyes just shifted off in any direction, things feeling they were suddenly in place. Now his body was more relaxed against the bike as he look up at the clouds. Today was a gorgeous day, even if the date could have gone better. Then, he felt something grasp at his arm. Turning his head only provided more leeway for what was coming. His eyes shot open, his lips shrouded in warmth from Houses body heat. Did House actually kiss him?

This had left Wilson dumbfounded and in wonder of if his heart was beating anymore. Something was happening, something that he could not explain. Houses lips against his own heated all of his body, he felt weak and limp, his heart now pounding like a drum solo at a concert. How could his body be throbbing this harshly yet somehow he still felt relaxed. All of this felt right, nothing else seemed to make more sense at the moment. All these emotions came from a kiss from House. They were soft, just like the inside of House he saw rarely, though the kiss seemed to allow him the ability to see it.

Before House pulled away, Wilsons eyes drifted closed. Why push it away now, it had already happened. Though it felt as if minutes had passed by, it was only a mere second before House pulled away and Wilson eyes opened in a flash. Now that he realized who had kissed him, his expression became shocked as he let his fingers roam his mouth. They touched his lips slightly as if trying to locate any trace of Houses presence that was once there. His other hand grasped the bike seat, the only think stopping him from hitting the floor. His breathing became rushed trying to keep up with his heart. Once he heard Houses apology, he turned to him, still blown away by every emotion he had just felt and the shock of what just happened.

"It's...alright?" he stated, the tone of confusion capturing his response, looking at House as if he would give him some answer.

((Yeppers, *thinking that it would look so hot*))

House looked at Wilson, astonished that he hadn't shoved him away. Amazed that he wasn't looking at him with contempt and disgust. "Its....its alright?" He repeated Wilson's words with a confusion of his own. His eyes clouded over, it didn't make sense. Wilson shouldn't be this okay with it, he should be yelling or angry with him. "Why haven't you run off screaming?" He asked in a joking tone as he tried to laugh it off with a chuckle. But the question still stood and he was a little curious about the answer.

He started to observe Wilson, his reaction, his body. Did he enjoy it? Did Wilson want this? Did he want this? He loved Wilson but could he be with him. The complications came rushing at him at high speeds. But he didn't care, the urge to kiss him again conquered his fears of the future or where this moment could lead them.

((x3 Indeed ))

He stayed locked on House as he seemed to be just as shocked as he was. While House glanced with confused, he pulled himself to his feet. His hand didn't wipe off his lips, loving how the sense of House still lingered. After he made sure he could stand on his time, he looked back at House who asked a question he found silly. Even if he didn't feel this feeling for him, he still wouldn't have reacted in anger in fear. Maybe more mutually, but that was if he did not feel this way. He groaned inwardly, cursing repeatedly in the depths of his mind, why did House have to do that?

After that kiss, the fantasies of being with House came back to him. They were all clear as day when he almost had them blurred, so he could live with the fact of not being with him easier. Now, he could see himself hugging House tightly as they rode down a highway on Houses bike. He saw them in bed, resting on the couch and dozing off in each others arms, everything that made him wish it would become reality. Even if it felt amazing, he was hoping to rid himself of pointless dreams when the reality of it seemed so far off in the distance and hope on reaching it was painful. Once he came back down to earth, he answered House, smiling softly.

"Well now I know I'm gay." he said laughing a little bit, a statement that could be taken either way.

"But seriously, why would I run away or yell at you?" he asked.

((I totally pictured the kiss! :p So cute!!!
Ok this is my post then. =] lol I wish I could interract with you guys more but I dont see a reasonable way to just yet.))

Hmn... It's been a while... Still no Cameron, Foreman, or House. Chase's coffee was cold by now. He was thinking of a proper excuse -and of other things- too much to be able to drink it.
He got up, put his full mug on the counter and walked away, slightly dazed.

That House was late was nothing new. Heck, it was getting old. Cameron not passing him.. Well... Maybe she was with some patient, caring. And Foreman being gone.. Maybe he was with that prostitute he claimed he would get himself. But Wilson wasn't anywhere either, and that was downright weird.

He walked around, wondering where to look for previously mentioned people, and absent-mindedly found himself going in the direction of the parking lot.
"Ah well.. I'm here now anyway... Might aswell check..."
He turned to take a good look outside, hoping to recognize one of his colleagues' vehicles, and indeed saw one. A motorbike.
With two people really close to it, looking very much like they were kissing.
Yes. That was a kiss, according to that blush.

What the hell...?

Chase felt stings in his abdomen that basically indicated someone just grinded his soul into the floor. What was going on? Why were they kissing? They didn't like eachother that much, right?
As if he was in a trance, he turned around and walked back to the cafeteria.

"That's it, mate. You're too late. You waited too long. Your chance is ruined. You're screwed. Too bad, so long, turrah..."

House stopped and thought about it for a while. Why did he think that way? Why did he automatically assume that Wilson would by scared off or angry? He finally came to the realization and it made him laugh, "Because thats what my reaction would have been..." He shook your head, "Your nothing like me though." He grinned slightly standing from his leaning position on the bike. He swung his cane back and forth to give his hands something to do. "Which is an incredibly good thing, although the more you hang around me the more I rub off on you."

He begins to walk forward, "Well we're going to forget that the kiss happened, alright?" He looked back at Wilson looking at him with a half interest. "I mean nothing good could come from anyone knowing about it. Plus nothing is going to happen between us, I'm too high maintenance and you take to long in the bathroom." He smirked slightly as he began walking again to the entrance of the hospital.

Wilson smiled when he saw that House was not upset and he chuckled when he related Wilson to himself. It felt great to have House being a little more open towards him. Even though it would take a lot of work, he knew he would always be Houses best friend. Once House stood, so did he, now he was ready to go into his office and eat some of his food. Hopefully he could manage to eat a decent portion before he headed off to see his patients. He followed House as they walked, but he fell back once he heard what House said.

Nothing was going to happen, so he felt this way too. So was he the only one who had felt anything from what happened? He swallowed a lump in his throat, maybe he was right. It hurt to face it, but it had to be true. He could not spend his whole life waiting for House, especially if it was only one sided. No matter how much he wanted it, dwelling would only hurt him more then just putting it away and admiting the impossible. There was more to it then high maintenance and hours in the bathroom however, there was so much more that would probably never be worked out.

"Yeah..right." he replied as he walked with House toward the hospital.

It was going to be harder to forget the kiss then he thought. Even walking next to House was bringing all those emotions to his attention. Before, he was dreaming of what it was like, so his feelings were benine, now they were fatal. Not even cancer humor could break it out of his thoughts. That kiss..he never felt anything like it with any wife and he knew he cared for them at a time, at least in someway. This was all so much, he had to get out of here. It had nothing to do of being scared or angry, but he just wanted to get away so House would not sense his feelings. It was all on-sided and he did not want things to get awkward.

"I'm going to head off, I have to eat something before I concentrate on my stomach rather then patients. I'll see you after work." he called out the last half as he rushed into the elevator.

House cursed to himself silently, it hurt to not tell Wilson how much that kiss had meant to him. But he was keeping Wilson at a distance for his own good, if he let him get close, let him get to close, well he might just hate him. Or worse yet, become like him, he couldn't let Jimmy be like him. The reason he loved Jimmy was because he was nothing like him. Thats it then, he thought to himself, I can't stand myself. He knew he would only hurt Wilson in the end, he couldn't ever function in a healthy relationship with someone. It brought new meaning to, its not you its me.

House watched Jimmy walk away and his stomach growled. He probably should get at least an apple. He raised one hand to wave goodbye to Jimmy, one that he probably didn't see. It felt almost like a final goodbye, like Jimmy was moving away and he would never see him again. He missed his shot, he couldn't have Wilson and it was all for the better. He slowly walked to the cafeteria to grab a quick bite to eat.
