Pen tried to not to look anxious and sat very still in her chair. All the while she watched as the box opened up to what laid in side.

In the bed of packing peanuts was a chrome cylinder that was no more than a foot long and 5 inches in diameter. It was very usual and under further inspection it was made up of six number dials that ran around its width and was marker from 0 to 9. Similar to a thermos that had lost its top, you were able to see it was hollow containing a inner layer of micro chips and wires that adhered to the container's walls.

Reaching out very carefully Pen took the container and gingerly looked at it steady stare. With the shift in the peanuts, a note was revealed inside that hid under the strange device. Reading "Incomplete experiment. Please keep safe," and signed by the Kuro's research and development department; where it came from was no longer a mystery. Attached to the note was the device's manual sporting the title "Time Travel Machine."

Trying not to laugh she tried to move the dials to represent a date. However no matter how she pushed or pulled the dials stayed in place. Stuck in place at 1161990.

"Well its not a bomb." Pen said with a mixture of intrigued and frustration.

Louie shrugged, "Mornings are mornings and we've never gotten along." He grabbed a banana from the fruit bowl and decided it would be best to leave the kitchen. Before he said something stupid. "I'll be upstairs if anyone needs me."

"Well there is Sabe, Aly, or" Pen looked a little pained with the last person on her list. She sighed and shook her head, "Jade. He is a big computer nut and inventor so he might know." Rolling her eyes she sat back down.

"Alright, but do you mind if play around with it. Not everyday a time machine arrives." Pen spoke very lax trying to keep herself in check and under control. It still bugged her that she would be interacting with Jade on a daily basis but it was part of the job.

Sabe was now halfway through his book. By now though, he was getting drowsy. Maybe he forgot his nap, but feigning it was becoming less of an option.

He pressed a cheap hot-pink sticky note he'd been using onto the current page and dropped the book back into its rightful place. Sabe rolled onto his belly and put Waffle's pillow over his head before falling asleep.

"Whats wrong, Bro?" Pen was about to leave, already dreading that she would have to find Jade again, however seeing Luciano looking less than confident made her posed the question. Looking mildly concerned she reached into her pocket for a wheat stalk as she waited for Luc to answer.

Jade took notice of the elves that were talking to him. He had said Morning to them but before long, no real conversation was formed. Just as he was going to strike up a conversation with the ones in the kitchen, an elf came to him with a message. "Luciano has requested you."

Jade nodded "Ok, He is in his office?"

"Yes." and with that the messenger went on his business.

Jade smiled to Aly. "Gatta go I guess, we should get to know each other later though." He grinned. "See ya."

Jade hurried to Luciano's office and once there he knocked. "Luciano? You called for me."
