Vincent's foot was pushed away, but what she didn't expect was that he'd use the momentum of the push as he jumped in the air, throwing his left foot at her to catch her in the face, "Imperials, Sith, The Rebellion-You're all the same to me-You're all killers!"

((Boy doesnt seem to realize the irony of his words. Just leave him be Des. He'll learn sooner or later.))

((I realise the irony in them-it's why I said it. Nothing wrong with adding Irony to move a story along, is there?? Irony is crucial to a good storyline, and/or a plot twist. biggrin ))

Fina took the hit to the face. The mans foot caught her left cheek, causing her to stumble and almost fall back if she hadn't caught herself. So straightening herself back out, if given the time, she looked around, keeping her senses alert to the surrounding area... Though she sort of knew that if Alex shot at her again she wouldn't be able to block it. Either way it wouldn't hurt to give it a try.

She guessed that at this point words wouldn't reach the the Jedi, so she had to concentrate harder. She didn't want to kill him, but wasn't sure he'd allow her to live if he got the upper hand... For the moment, she'd just wait for his next move...

((Bring it on! I love a challenge! ^_^))

Vincent dropped down, and then jumped back, aiming the gun at her, "You can block it, but how many shots can you block before I'm able to get a lucky one?" Alot. He wasn't stupid-He knew that this woman was better than she appeared...but the fact was, he had the edge. She was a Consular-One who was stronger in the force than she was in the art of physical combat. As he kept himself alert, and kept his wits about him, then this would be an easy fight...but the fact that this was dragging out for far too long made him nervous. He had to do something...SOMETHING, in order to stop this fight without killing her-And then he found himself remembering a point in his teachings...

~*~*~

"A fine lightsaber, Vincent."

"Thank you, Master," Vincent said, bowing before him, and then kneeling down, waiting for his master to finish inspecting the lightsaber.

"Vincent...can you tell me which part of a lightsaber is weakest?"

Vincent looked at his master, and for once...he didn't have an answer. He had thought that the material he had gotten and made the hilt from was strong-Perhaps it was a trick question. So he replied, "There is none, Master-The lightsaber is the strongest of weapons-That is why Jedi are allowed to wield them."

Vincent's master looked to him a moment, and then stood up-And thwacked him on the top of his head with the hilt.

"GAH!" Vincent grabbed his head, "What was that for?!"

His master looked to him, replying calmly, "Which part did I strike you with just now, Vincent?"

Vincent looked at the way he held the saber, and then looked back to his master, "The...Hilt?"

"Yes..." He un-fastened the bottom of the hilt slowly and easily. When he was finished, the crystal fell out simply, and he then nodded to his student, "Now do you understand?"

Vince watched the process for a moment, and then the realisation hit him, and his eye's went wide as he bowed his head, replying, "Y-Yes, I do...Thank you, master."

~*~*~

Vincent's gaze finally looked back on her, the memory fading from his mind-And finally, he knew what to do. He tossed the saber from his right hand to his left, pulling the gun from his belt with his right hand. "All it's gonna take," Vincent began, smirking, "Is three moves...and I'll beat you. Hell-I'll even do it by upholding my code-I WON'T kill you..."

((You want a challenge? Seek out the one the people of Utao Prime call the Wanlon and face him in battle. Then you might find a real challenge.))

Fina looked to Vincent for a moment. She wondered how things were going to turn out. The fact that he was wielding a lightsaber and a gun at the same time sort of gave him the upper hand. He could attack from a distance while coming closer, but if she could deflect blaster bolts back at him, then it could turn out to be a weakness. She held the lightsaber forward in her right had, her left hand off to her side, turning to an old fencing stance, one hand forward, the other hand behind. She'd wait for the shots to come for a moment, until she heard his words...

She just scoffed behind her mask. "Well, good luck with that." With that she let the force flow through her, focusing on attempting to increase her speed, deciding to be ready for when he started to attack...

((I don't mesh OOC with IC for stuff like a personal challenge.))

Vincent smirked, "Thanks-And you too." And with that, he sped towards her-His lightsaber in his left hand as he tucked the blaster back into his front jeans, smirking as he gripped his saber in both hands-And right before he was about to swing, he made an intentional change in movement-He leapt high over her, and threw his saber at the top of her head, shouting into the com, "ALEX-TOSS YOUR BAG TO THE NORTH-EAST!!"

"GOT IT," Alex responded, tripping one of the troopers with his foot while unshouldering his bag, turned as he stood, and then used the momentum to toss it in that direction against the wind.

((I'm just saying if you want a challenge, seek out the wanlon. Might prove a real test of your strength if there ever was one. And its not a challenge, its a comparison of skill, a common thing for wandering Bushi to do during the early Tokugawa Shogunate.))
PostPosted: Thu Apr 05, 2007 11:04 pm

[Regardless of who 'tests their skill' against what here, forgetting whether or not it can be twinked and completely made rediculously unfair for one side, may we please just stop this sillyness and return to roleplaying...?]

Fina watched his stance change and how he tucked the blaster away in favor of wielding the saber two handed. As he charged at her, she held her fencing stance. As he stopped the charge to jump over her, she merely watched for any signs of him going for that gun, or attacking. As he tossed the saber, she quickly brought her hand up, swinging the blade over herself to clash with the blade of his own saber and knock it off course, turning to face him in one quick motion. The saber had nobody to push back against her own blade, so it was easily knocked away...

((Eheh, right right. ^_^;; Sorry hun.))

Vincent twisted in mid-air, landing just as the bag dropped nearby, and he could feel the force pushing away from them both as his gun was now drawn, aiming at her, "Drop the saber...-"

In the background, the ground began to shake as a roar penetrated the air, and Vincent sighed.

"Great...mind if we make that Checkmate? I REALLY don't want My friend to eat you..." Vincent found himself muttering in his own head, 'Dammit Airia...always stealing my thunder...'

Fina's eyes watched him twist in the air, then as he fell to the ground. As the bag came near, she felt the sudden change. She couldn't feel things through the force anymore, nor could she feel the effects of using the force to speed herself up. Next thing she knew he had the gun aimed at her. She looked to the gun for a moment, and then the roar distracted her. Very disturbed at being unable to feel the force, she let out a sigh and deactivated her lightsaber and dropped it, turning her eyes to look at the bag as it lay there in the sand. Damnit. What is this...?

Only moments later was she able to figure out. Tearing through the storm, a 70-meter long Krayt came DASHING into their view, and Vincent lifted up his hand, shouting, "AIRIA-STOP!"

Now-What was amazing in this situation was, most force users have to form a bond over a long period of time with an animal in order for it to trust them-With a Krayt, that could possibly take as long as a year, to MANY years. What was unknown was WHY this animal would suddenly stop without any persuasion of the force. Perhaps it was because Vincent was the Krayt's Meal Ticket for all the Sand Hare she could possibly eat-Perhaps it was because she enjoyed the company of the young Jedi, regardless of the force, or Perhaps it was because of Vincent's tone. None could be certain.
