Nala moved around the waterhole to get a better look at the red lions hunting escapades. She couldnt help but feel bad for him, he really was trying his hardest. She knew in a few years she'd start hunting herself and she'd be in the same boat as the lion was. The lionesses made it look easy, but they had mastered the skills. "I hope I dont make a fool out of myself on my first hunt, " she thought to herself, scrunching up her nose in worry and future frustration.
Nala watched as the red lion apparently gave up on hunting and took to reside atop the hill. Soon her sharp little eyes caught sight of the Queen coming up along side him, Nala could only imagine how fantastic a huntress she was, it wasnt surprising that the red lion didnt see her apparoching.

Maawios sapphire eyes once again scanned the Pride lands. Her beautiful pelt of gold had an extra shimmer due to the calm afternoon sun that threw many rays in her direction. She blinked the sunlight out of her eyes and squinted into the distance. She was right, her mother was back. She let out a groan. She was stupid to think that she could stay by herself, yet she loved her quiet time. No mother, No arguments. Yet she could get scared by herself, and in the darkness of the night she crept into her den, and snuggled into the most comfortable rock she could find.
But now as she watched her mother walk swiftly through the savannah she sighed, her spirits darkening slightly as she picked up a padded paw and began to make her way to the savannah that her mother was emerging from. She sighed again, closing her eyelids and summoning any bravery in herself, she threw her head a little higher and smiled absent mindedly before stepping before her mother and blinking away the sun for the second time. "Greetings Mother," She said, adressing Wingu in her most formal tone. "Where have you been these past few days?" She said, her confidence at her peak as she kept her head high.

Sarabi smiled and looked out over the grass. "That could be an asset. What I have in mind for you doesn't require expirience or finesse. You'll do just fine as you are." She stood as she caught sight of a herd of zebras. They would do well for his first time, but she would have to be very careful and precise to escape injury when she made the kill. Those hooves and teeth could be deadly, but at least they didn't have the sharp horns of the antelopes. "Come with me and we shall see how you do." She padded down the hill and into the grass, circling the water hole till they were downwind of the zebras.

Mwali straightened up just a bit, pushing from the ground to all fours and following after the queen. He was sure to give her plenty of distance and to keep his head lowered as he walked. He wouldn't want her to think that he was planning on something from behind. All this caution was simply dreadful, he knew he wasn't a criminal and so did those who traveled with him. With them coming to mind he took a slow glance in the direction of the others. He smiled a bit to see that they were all ready making friends with one of the local lions- a brown one just like Jasiri- down to the violet eyes. Perhaps she had feeling for him all ready, she had been worried about not fitting in and it seemed that male adolecent was the answer to her prayers. Taka on the other hand seemed upset about something, he made a mental note to check in on her and Teule later to see if he could do anything to remody that.
"Thank you for this chance, highness..." He said softly. Gods it felt odd to address someone else formally. He was so used to it back at the fireken that he had to remind himself every time he opened his mouth to speak to one of them.

((I'll be out of town from today until the 21st, so I'll toss Mufasa off somewhere. See you guys soon. :3 ))
-As he padded across the warm savannah, Mufasa watched the things going on around him. Those at the water hole.. his own mate disappearing off with the red male. The savannah was always alive, something was always happening whether it be for his own pride, or one of the many other herds and groups that lived across the Pridelands, as if.. all the chaos tightly wound into a ball of reason.. sense.. stability.
Turning his glance away, he quickened his pace, heading away from the Pridelands. Everyone would be fine while he was gone, he was sure of that atleast.-

Sarabi finally crouched down in the grass and turned to Mwali. Her voice was low and soft when she spoke. "Get down and keep still while I explain something. For what you are going to do, you won't need to be quiet. In fact, you'll need to be loud and scary. I'm going to hide there." She flicked her nose at a scragly bush down from the zebras. "You are going to circle around the Zebras till you are upwind. Try to stay back far enough that you don't spook them. When you are in position, I want you to rush them. Roar, bare your teeth and claws, anything so that they panic and run. You can even try to bring one down if you wish. If you do, I suggest getting a good grip around their windpipe and clamping down until they suffocate. Keep out of reach of the hooves as well. When the herd stampedes away from you, they'll go right past my hiding place. I'll ambush one and bring it down." She nodded and rolled her shoulders in antisipation. "Do you have any questions? And speak quietly, we don't want them to hear us."

Sukutu listened to the small white cub talk and then looked over to Jasiri, waiting for her desicision, it seemed like he was never going to get some 'alone time' to himself, but he just smiled to himself at the thought of some new friends...he needed some at a time like this. As he waited he looked around, trying to make out the image or sign that his sister was near the area, she had been gone for a while now...and was starting to worry. But instead his eye's caught the sight of a huge red lion walking with the Queen, his ears perked up in surprise and curiousity before his mouth fell agape. "Whoa....who- or what is that big red guy?" He asked, still eyeing the red lion cautiously.

"I understand." He nodded, slowly slinking as best he could from the queen. Again he was loud but he was far enough from the zebra that they didn't see him as much of a threat. He smirked a bit, watching the striped creatures graze. How clever this little plan was- the queen was who she was for a good reason. So clever. Surely something as large and obvious of him would scare them spitless... perhaps if he brought one down himself? He'd impress the pride and probibly get better treatment out of them. How wonderful. These creatures didn't look so fast- or tough for that matter. No claws, no fangs, only those stupid hooves and large plump bodies. He waited, watching the zebra and the golden queen move into position. Once he was sure that she was ready he exploded forward, pushing himself for all his was worth into a run that surpassed any he had done before, giving a loud and powerful roar. He was quite impressed with the roar himself, he nearly sounded more frightening than his father, he was sure that he looked the part, his green eyes flashing, the white fangs showing clearly through a wrinkled face of rage, each muscle working as he raced forward. He came upon a slower zebra and jumped for it.
He could feel his claws sink into the flesh an hear the zebra whinney in pain. HIs lower half gripped to the ground, hoping that the zebra would come down and let him at its throat. Mwali's world shook in a violent torrent of color and pain as two hooves slammed him in the chest, he roared, falling back but not without the zebra coming along with him, hooked by the deadly black claws. He moved just enough for the bulk of the zebra landed off to the side. However, the creature was still strong and though it sacrificed a large chunk of flesh to the lion's claws he tore himself free, trampeling over the crimson lion as he made his escape into the herd of the other zebra, limping in response to his wound.
Mwali whimpered, rolling to his side and coughing up a bit of blood. His chest ached like it never had before, his shoulder hurt terribly. It all happened so fast- where had he gone wrong? He lifted his head, squinting his eyes to get everything back into focus... but it was hardly worth the effort.

The young lions eye's widened as he watched the huge red creature take of after the zebra, watching him was almost comical as a small laugh escaped him at the sight of the red figure falling down with the zebra ontop of him. However his laugh and cocky smile soon diminished as he saw the black and white figure trample the red lion, his eye's widened slightly, normally creatures would've been killed by that and normaly he wouldn't've cared, but the cheetah was talking to that red lion earlier, maybe he was a friend of Jasiri's and the white cub, well if he was a friend to them...he was not a threat. Before he could think, he felt his paws start running towards the red figure swiftly, his ears flattening agains't his skull before he skidded to a halt, some dust flying into the air before he looked over the lions frame. The lion was a Firekin, what was he doing here? no matter, he was probably a rogue now and hurt, he didn't like the idea of helping the member of such a blood thristy pride...but...his words just seemed to come out of nowhere as he panted remembering he had to breathe, even after a short distance run. "H-hey?...hey are...you ok?"

The wounded Zebra, not knowing the danger, went right by Sarabi's hiding place. With a powerful explosion of muscle, she leaped from her hiding place onto the Zebra's back. With her powerful jaws, she latched down on the spine at the back of the neck. Satisfyed with her hold, she let her weight pull her earthward. This jerked the Zebra off its feet and there was a sharp cracking sound as it hit the ground. The impact was hard enough to snap its neck and it lay still on the grass, dead. Sarabi climbed shakily to her feet and shook her head, licking blood from her maw. An unorthodox way to kill her prey, but it had worked. The golden queen coughed. The fall to the ground had been harder than she thought, and her side hurt dully. Well, at least she hadn't been injured. Now they needed to get the zebra back to Priderock, so she looked around for Mwali. There... a bit of red. And was that Sukutu? What was he doing here? Suddenly worried, she trotted towards them, limping the tiniest bit on a forepaw. "Sukutu? Mwali? What's wrong?"

Haveo hid under a rock hearing many voices nearby. At least three he thought. He had finally got enough courage to explore further into the Pridelands but now he was almost regretting it. Without a companion he no longer felt as if he had to stay as strong though it seems he was wrong. Haveo peered from under the rock just barely seeing a black and white creature and a red one.
Haveo ducked ducked back under it when he heard a rustle in the grass and a voice speak. "H-Hey?...hey are...you ok?" He was curious as to why someone would be asking that. Did something happen? Who was hurt? The small dog fought with himself as to whether stay hidden, run, or to also look to see. I'm an outsider and someone who probably is entirely different from them. I don't have a place here but I must look to see if I have a family. I don't want to go but I feel as if I should. Oh I don't know.
Haveo sighed and took a deep breathe his heart thumping loudly in his chest. Don't be afraid. Everything will be okay. You've faced a herd of elephants, you can handle anything else. He peered out from under the rock slinking through the grass. He was about to step closer to the voices but instead he turned around and climbed up on the rock. He could just barely see.
He gasped at what he saw. Lions. He remembered what the hyenas said about them. They could easily kill him. His nerves were building and his legs felt as if they'd collapse under him. But he continued to stand tall looking and the red lion and the brown one. Males have manes females don't. He remembered. He swallowed also remembering that males were stronger than females but slower than them as well. He continued to watch them in plain sight fearing what they might do to him if they saw him.

((*Smacks Gaia for logging her out and eating her post*))
Nalas head peaked up above the grass, "That didnt sound good..." she murmered to herself, creeping forward a bit to get a better look. From her location she could barely see what had happened, so she moved cautiously around to get a better view, quietly so as not to disrupt any already frightened herds. From her new position she could see the ongoings much better, and to her startled surprise it seemed as though the Queen had been hurt, "Should I go get help?!" she thought instantly, not giving the red lion a second glance, he seemed nice enough, but frankly, the Queen was more important.
Inching her way forward, she lifted her head and peaked through the grass again, she was getting closer. Silently she came forward, paws easing across the ground, moving the stalks of grass aside rather than crushing them under her weight. She saw where the other zebras had passed, and the unfortunate one that hadnt been so lucky as to get away. Peaking up, her vision expanded from only focusing on the Queen, to what was around. She stopped something she hadnt expected to see, a wild dog. She had never seen one herself, but she'd heard of them and what they looked like. She couldnt imagine though what it was doing sitting up there on the rock like that, it certainly didnt seem like a very sensible thing to be doing...

Haveo continued to watch as the lioness approached the first two hearing their names. Sukutu? Mwali? But who's that? His mind came up with more questions. He stopped thinking when a new lioness stepped through the grass. He stiffened as her eyes locked on him. His breathing rapidly increased. Haveo's instincts told him to move, get away, hide but he was frozen from fear and wonder. All he could do was think, every vision saying that he would be dead before long. Calm down Haveo. It isn't your time, it isn't your time. He repeated that line over and over in his head.

Nalas eyes stayed focused on the dog, "What do I do?! What do I do?!" she screamed in her head. Should she walk by like nothing happened? A mutual silence between the two? The dog posed no threat to her, so attacking didnt seem like a good option, plus she was too small, it wouldnt have done much good anyway. She went with the only other option she could think of.. Nala crounched down as deep into the grass as possible trying to vanish from the creatures sight. "I really need to come up with better plans," she thought, laying on the ground, rolling her eyes at herself.

Haveo locked eyes with the lioness. His nerves made a path for a new personality to come through. His mouth curved into a smirk, eyes narrowed just a bit, pupils darkening in color. He looked directly into her eyes as if reading everything about her. He didn't move at all nor did he really think. Though soon a dark voice whispered in his mind, You are weak, I will kill you. Hurt you. Those thoughts were reflected in his eyes. Haveo only added effect by full on grinning. His coloured canines gleaming in the bright light. Primal instincts said look big and you'll win; but the gentler Haveo said stop.
