Panicked yelling emanated from the hallway leading into the safe house, it was clear that the people who have left were returning and that they were not alone. Sylvan was yet again daunted by the situation feeling his body moving slowly and questioning his every action. Should he rush to help, would he just get in the way, but by the time Sylvan got up from his perch against the wall most of the survivors including those who were injured had already been ushered into safety. What was wrong with him? Weren't people supposed to fight or flight in situations like this? Then why was he paralyzed and self absorbed to everything that was happening around him. Closing his eyes for a moment the nixie forced himself to take several deep breaths. Whatever was happening isn't going to stop any time soon if he wasn't going to regret his previous inaction for the rest of his life if he were to survive then he needed to do something and be competent now. xUpon reopening his eyes and taking a fresh look at the room it was clear to him that the state of those previously injured were not improving. Most concerning was the black wounds and the black vines that appeared to be crawling up their arms similar to that seen in blood poisoned victims. By the state of the wounds now he wondered if healing magic had not been applied at all or if it in fact was even effective because surely they would have tried. Sylvan wanted to help, but didn't know how and felt his body stuttering and shaking again at the conflict until being thankfully beckoned by Ava to approach to receive an item. Finally was there something he could do to help? After receiving the amulet and knife the Nixie's stomach turned. How- how was he suppose to help with this? The answer was that he wasn't, and that this tools were meant to protect himself. Despite how dry his skin was getting before from the lack of hydration, Sylvan could feel himself sweat under the pressure of what these items indicate that he may need to use them for. Quickly he place the amulet around his neck tucking it in under his sweater before reluctantly grasping the blade in his hands before backing up into the crowd of uninjured survivors.

As she was lead back to the bunker, she finally began to realize the severity of her being bitten. Those who had been bitten at the academy were terribly sick, and did she really want Yihad to see her like that? Would he still want to be her friend if she was so sick? Her concerns got even worse when she saw how bad of condition the group of survivors were from the other bunker. Was... was she going to die?! It was then she noticed Yihad looking for her, quickly hiding behind the masses she was traveling with as to not be noticed by hum. She couldn't let Yihad see her like this. She just couldn't!

For the time being Yihad had to give up looking for Somansh when Ava told everyone to get a knife and an amulet, trying to keep hus cool as hu went to do so. Where was Somansh? Surely she wasn't let behind. Everyone but Annabelle had made it back they said. So surely Somansh was here. If so, then where was she? When the blade was given to hum, hu looked down at it with tears forming in hus eyes. What were they going to do with these? Were they going to cause harm to the injured, or was it to protect themselves from what was outside? Yihad didn't know, but hu at the very least wanted to know if Somansh was okay, if she had gotten bitten.

Telling some of her story had upset Kiera- she looked down and realized she was holding her silver hair brush- the one her family had given her…. before they agreed to let her go to Leviathan Below- and now she was Trapped in this hellish place, with strange people, no healing working, bitten and sick and who knows what else. She barely heard the Chimera introduce the two she’d been talking to, the room seemed to be...growing dim…..her vision was tunneling and all she could think about was HOME and if she had stayed there. All the pressure from her family, her friends to stay Above and her choice to leave…. The only thing that cut through the haze was that people were in pain and fainting. It felt as though the room was closing in on her and though she wanted to stand and help there was nothing she could do and then she heard that the wounds were turning black, and she looked down at her arm, and saw that there were dark veins against her already dark skin twisting, climbing, and spreading up her left arm…. as she was the last to have been bitten she was the last to fall- The vines were the last thing she saw as the room spun to a pinpoint around it and then blackness. Sweet, blissful blackness…...who knew the darkness could feel so good to one from Above. Then she was dreaming, about coming to the academy, attending her first class at Leviathan….…..meanwhile her body slumped sideways, and it was clear that while she was still breathing she was clearly unconscious. smolderingskies LOL no worries, Kiera was too busy to notice

Eilwen took a firm hold of Vanna's hand and he pulled her up gently took her feet. The whole process made her feel dizzy, like she was standing on some very unstable ground. She had to take a few deep breathes to fight away the nausea that hit her. She hadn't being sick, hated it so much. Too made this was going to get worse before it got better.
Once on her feet she warped her good arm around Vanna and gave him an awkward hug. There was no doubt in her mind that if he hadn't been with them, they'd all be doomed. "I hope you can settle for an awkward hug. And a thank you. Seriously." With the help of Vanna she shuffled her way over to the Medical station. Things were not looking great. Those that had been bitten before were...passing out.
Was this going to be the end for them all? Were they seriously sick beyond healing? She could only hope that Yuki, their head nurse, would find a solution given some time. For now, she really needed to get her shoulder dressed. Noting having to look at the nasty bite on her shoulder would help her calm down a little bit. It wasn't much, but it would be a start.

Man, Kingston was worried. SO worried. He looked at his friends, really not sure what to do. Maybe he should help get them over to the medical area so they can get looked over? "AH!" He let go of Vanna so he could help Eilwen. "...You know... If any of you need help, just ask me. I... I somehow didn't get hurt." And he felt HORRIBLE about that because his friends DID get hurt. Coco, Eilwen, ... Vanna, if any of you need help, please call for me! I feel so useless. I can't do anything else right now..." He looked down, ears and tail drooping. Then he heard miss Ava speak. They needed to get a ... what? This didn't sit well with Kingston. "... I... I guess... I'm going to go see miss Ava." He hesitated, seeing Eilwen stand so shakily. Then he looked at Coco. He wanted to help! But... He had to see miss Ava first. "Don't push yourselves!" he barked before turning and walked over to Ava and the other gathering students. "...what are these for?" He didn't want to know, but he did...

Honey hadn't noticed, but her physical pains had almost been entirely replaced my psychological ones. In their mind, they had been practically ignored despite the severe injuries they had received - while trying to save a freshling, mind - and could feel themselves growing worse. Honey turned to the nurse, an uncharacteristically dark expression on their face. "Why can't you help me?" They snarled, struggling to their feet and lurching towards her. "You don't care? Is that it? None of you know what ya doin'!" Clutching their head, Honey doubled over, feeling as if the world was closing in around them. They felt angry, furious. The senior glared at everyone who dared to approached them, backing into a wall with a groan. "Nothin'... you can't do nothin'..." they muttered, before slipping to the floor and falling unconscious.

Raven watched the students passing out with a look of disgust. Why hadn't they been quarantined yet? It was ridiculous. "They should be thrown outside with the other monsters," he muttered softly, turning to listen to Ava as she spoke. With a frown he followed the others, begrudgingly accepting a knife and amulet. He looked at them as if they were about to explode. "This is ridiculous," he commented. He was sick of all this needless drama. Why had the people even left the damn bunker? Now more people had been bitten and for what, one child? Well, hopefully the young freshling never learnt that it was their fault dozens of people were dropping like daisies; a fate which Raven had no intent to share.

Hiroshi was taken back a bit by Liam's offer to take him down. He admitted that it was a lot quicker and more efficient, but what for the younger children? What if something happ- No, he shouldn't be thinking like that. It definitely wasn't Liam's fault if something happened to them, it wasn't his either. It wasn't like he could take on the monsters that were threatening them, he wasn't a fighter. The fact that Liam was willing to risk his life for him was heroic, though he was sure that Liam would just brush him off again. The man was definitely selfless, and though Hiroshi had been called that a time or two by others, he didn't feel he could live up to Liam's level.
"Thank you." He said once they were back in the bunker. He was more than glad the three of them had made it back safely, but he was worried about the more recent people who had gotten bitten. What was wrong with these people? How could they attack children? "Are both of you alright?" He hoped there were no bruises or scrapes that were serious, but various things could happen when you're running for your life.
When he heard the Principal's voice, Hiroshi turned to look in the direction of the forming crowd. He swallowed. He hated the idea of having a weapon, but could he really refuse with all of the chaos that was around them? What if that knife was the thing hanging in the balance of rather he saw his brother and friends again? He made a face at Astra and Liam and then took a deep breath, moving forward to the crowd to claim the things that were being offered. "I hope we don't have to actually use these."

Mounia was getting antsy when it took the group too long to come back. She began to wonder if she really should have gone with them, she never was very good at being patient. She let out a breath, doing her best to occupy her mind with her new little familiar when the group finally burst in. Her eyes went wide when she heard the invaders were here. She leaped to her feet, ready to fight with her bare hands if she needed to! She was ready to try to help Annabelle out of there if she could, but was too slow to make it to the doors before they were shut.
She frowned, a near growl in her throat. She really wanted to teach those bad guys a lesson! When Ava asked people to come get an amulet and knife, she was one of the first people in the crowd. She noticed a senior a little bit older than she was who looked upset. She mused, stepping closer to him and putting a hand on his shoulder. "Hey, are you okay?" She wasn't usually the best at emotional support, but this guy looked like he really needed someone to talk to.

Hu turned around startled quite a bit when spoken to, standing there in slight shock before sighing some ", Sorry, I had a friend go with the search party and... and..." Tears started to form in hus eyes, hus hand shaking while keeping the knife in hus hand. Before hu knew it, hu was spilling hus guts about hus situation with Somansh ", I tried to see if I could see her when they came back, but I couldn't see her. I know she should be back, but I don't know how she is doing."

"Thank you." Her voice was weak, and she wasn't sure if she was thanking Illya or Chervil. Probably both. The hallowed hybrid glanced at her leg again, and grimaced.
Despite the pain, Adee tried to follow the situation as closely as possible. Those who hadn't been attacked were receiving knives and amulets. The survivors from the first attack seemed to have all blacked out, and their wounds seemed to be in terrible condition. All in all, it didn't seem like a good situation.
"I wonder if we should be kept separate from the others... in case something happened." She still had a gut feeling that someone in the bunker knew more than they were letting on. The handing out of artifacts seemed to confirm hat to her. ... But perhaps her own search for answers had ended.
Niamh whimpered slightly when the uninjured students received a knife and an amulet, but it was quite obvious that those who had sustained wounds would not be receiving them. She glanced nervously at those who'd been wounded earlier. They all seemed to be passed out, and their wounds had taken on a distrubing black hue.
Hey eyes welled up, and her stomach felt strange. She chewed nervously on her bottom lip. Aedus was over with Ava, and the others, receiving a knife and amulet. She wrapped her arms around herself, feeling quite alone.

Liam breathed a sigh of relief only when they all made it back to the bunker and the door was sealed. He instantly felt sorry for anyone who might not have made it back, but underneath it was a "better them than us" feeling. It made him feel guilty to feel that way, but he couldn't deny it was there. There was a bit of milling around as everyone got sorted. With a sinking heart Liam noticed people who had been part of the search party who were covered in blood. Some were worse off than others, but all the wounds had a similar look. Like bites... He snapped out of it a little when the headmistresses stepped up and called people to come get items out of boxes near her. He followed Hiroshi, and started a bit to see knives. Amulets he could understand, but the knives had a more...sinister feel to them. Still he palmed one of each, because you never knew. "From your mouth to the ears of the Nine," he said with a fervent undertone. He noticed several figures by the nurse station slumped over, clearly passed out. Some had creeping veins of black on their skin. Liam shuddered as a chill went down his spine, and his rattle shook softly with his unease.

This wasn't an ideal situation, and she caught the look of a certain fallen. No, she wasn't a fan of children having weapons, yet she wasn't going to leave them unprotected. Her magic could only go so far, and more than half the people in the bunker lacked the magic needed to protect others. She wasn't a fan of this entire situation, and a part of her felt contempt towards the board. This would be a long fight after they were safe.
If they were safe.
She snapped herself from that thought immediately. No. When they were safe. She'd give the board a piece of her mind.
Kunibert approached and Ava refrained from looking at his wound. He wasn't a specimen. Her mouth held tight as she listened, hands resting on the box of knives. He had a point. She knew he did, and yet she was in a hard place. They didn't know what those bites would do, and her eyes drifted to those passing out. What if something happened? What if....
Stop.
She was falling into that panic again where she questioned every decision she made. She couldn't let anyone bitten directly hold a weapon right now. If something occurred and they..... deities forbid changed, then they'd have weapons to injure others. However, they deserved protection, and Ava already had a plan to keep them safe should something occur. That, and she wasn't going to deny them a weapon should it turn out they needed it and were safe to touch them.
"You may choose a weapon to set aside, and an amulet." She stated, finally. "They will be kept nearby, and should a situation occur that you need them they will be waiting for you to grab. Right now, I cannot let you carry it on your person as we focus on trying to heal your wounds and figure out what to do."
