He ran back to where he'd found the first wagon and grabbed another. He was already feeling the burn from pulling the first, but he wasn't going to let that get in the way. When the stakes were high you just had to push through.
Running through the chaos was another issue all together. With everyone dragging and carrying various things, and running almost blindly to get back to the bridge, Chris bumped into other knights more than once. Their progress was thinly veiled chaos, with barely enough cooperation to be considered a tactical direction.

He's not really sure why, but he picked up a hay bale. It wasn't particularly heavy, but it was there.
Little straws of hay fluttered behind him as he ran, creating a small trail to follow. It would have been comical, had they not been in such a dire situation.

For some reason, getting there with the hay was easier than the wagon. Perhaps because it was lighter, he was able to just dart through the thickest of the monsters without needing to stop for long.
