"Oh, I just didn't bother with blueprints on a few things. Like the giant heart shaped bed, the mini bar and the candles in my room. I just thought they would clutter up the paper." He said, failing to keep a straight face and breaking into a broad grin. He didn't have any of those things, but he had heard somewhere that women found them desirable. He had always been a bit confused as to how that fashion started up, but he had no interest in it, so it stayed out of his room. "But I just wanted to surprise you with a few things. I'm sure you'll find them all soon enough." He said, grinning and kissing her forehead.

Senstren hurried down the pathway to the house. The wind was picking up, and he had to get the house ready. Almost running inside, he quickly started to close all of the windows. He went out to the library as soon as he reached the door, and started closing it up. Raindrops were beginning to hit the roof with a familiar clinking noise. He would not dare stay out on the library during the storm, he would take refuge in the rest of the house. He just hoped Alanna would either stay in the safety of the bar or would come home without getting too soaked.

Finally satisfied that all of the windows were secured, Senstren went into the upstairs turret. Once again changing the lighting on the windows, he sat down in a chair facing out towards the horizon. Reclining, he pulled out a book entitled "Cartography Magic." and began reading. The windows turned the sky a purplish color, and made the raindrops appear to be black. He couldn't wait for a lightning strike and all the color that might generate. But until the lightning started, it was time to read.

A storm came blowing in and Alanna rushing in with it. She wore nothing but her usual attire of a t-shirt and baggy pants, holding her satchel down so it did not bang against her leg as it ran. If she knew any better, or was actually prepared for once, she would have brought a coat or umbrella along. Thunder struck the ground several feet above her. She gasped, still running towards the home, holding her down from the wind. "Just my luck..", she mumbled running into the front door from the force of the wind. She pulled on the handle, but was barely able to open the door enough to slop inside. She grumbled, moving to the doggy door they had installed for Knoll. She tapped on it to active the door open feature. The small door, but big enough for her to contort through slipped open and she stuck her head through. Twisting a bit more she got her shoulders through and then crawled herself the rest in, until her belt was caught on the door. She grumbled, pulling forward until finally sliding all the way in. Quickly after she pressed the close button. She sighed, sitting there dazed and her hair a mess. The house was quiet, maybe no one was here? She got up, fixing her attire and walked through the house, grazing her hand along the textured walls. "Hello?"

Senstren was fully reclined in the chair, his book resting open on his chest, his head completely back, eyes closed. His mouth was hanging open very slightly, but he was not snoring. The gentle rise and fall of his chest revealed that he was not dead, just sleeping. The book had proven to be outrageously dull, and it would take quite a bit to wake Senstren from this state. The worst of the storm had not hit yet, but the few flashes of lightning were turned black in the window glass against a dark purple sky filled with gray raindrops. The light pitter patter of the drops hitting the windows and roof drowned out Alanna's call. Senstren slept on.

Alanna wandered the house being accompanied by the rythmatic sounds of raindrops and thunder claps. She called Senstrens name once more, still to receive no answer. She thought maybe.. he was taking refuge at elsewhere. It sadended her to be stuck in a house alone during a storm, but at least he was safe elsewhere. Continouing through the house she picked up a marker laying about. Stepping into the living room, she gasped softly, nearly scared to death to think she was alone to see Senstren passed out in a chair. Blinking, walked over staring down at him. Was he dead? She poked him in time to notice the book falling up and down on chest. She chuckled lightly, rubbing the top of the marker cap with her thumb. She smiled a bit to see him sleeping, until pop goes the cap and a devilish grin crossed her face. With out a moment to spare she held his face by his chin with her hand, drawing a mustache and rather exagherated eyebrows. Hopefully, the rubbing wouldnt wake him, but this was an oppurtinity she couldnt pass on anyone.

Alanna's grabbing of his face slowly brought Senstren out of his dream. The rubbing was a slightly more violent full awakening. His eyes snapped open to see Alanna's grinning face and a marker on his forehead. "What the hell are you doing?" He asked, his voice muffled slightly by Alanna's hand. He knew very well what she was doing, but he was really wondering why. That, and if a prank war broke out, there would be no living with her...

She let go and quickly stood up, hiding the marker behind her back. "Um.. I always wondered what you'd look like with a mustache." Worst excuse in the world she ever used. She backed away a bit, incase he was mad at her. She might have just gave herself the boot out of the house.

He sighed heavily, quickly wrapping an arm around her. "Well now you know. Though you could have just asked, my dear." He said the second part with an excessive amount of cheer in his voice, and he pulled her towards her, planting a kiss on her cheek, being sure to smear the marker across her face. As he did this, he wrapped his other arm around her to try to get a hold of the marker. He would not be losing a marker fight to Alanna.

She blushed lightly, squinting one eye to keep the black ink out. This could quickly turn out bad. She felt his arm move around her back and she twisted her arm a bit further away to keep it out of reach. "Indeed I do, but I won't be having a matching one." she replied in a matter of fact tone, smirking a tad. The oddly colored sky outside pressed on, dropping heavier rain, but she didn't seem to mind as long as she had Senstren about.

Senstren sighed. "You're no fun." Letting go of her, he stood up and stretched. "Just give me a moment to wash my face. We're definitely going to want to be in this room when the lightning starts up." He said, gesturing to the windows. Due to their location in respect to a relatively flat forest below, they were at a perfect spot to observe the storm. There were countless spells all over the house that would protect it, so he really wasn't worried about getting struck. This way, they could enjoy the full beauty of the storm. He hurried off to his room and went into the bathroom inside it to wash his face. He expected Alanna would probably do the same. After a minute, he returned, marker free. "Much better." He said, sitting down in the love seat facing the forest. The sky above them was gray, but the clouds over the trees below was turning black, and flashes of light could be seen inside them.
