Either way, closing the schools does make sense. I suppose once the breakfast scene is finished, I can send Cel off to work at the Bunny Cafe then. (Bunny Cafe is a coffee and snacks shop, just so no one gets the wrong idea. wink )

Celestine Ravencroft Welp, now that I've had the chance to think things over, for the most part things will go as you have been planning, with a minor adjustment. By my mental logic, I think Caelen would begin to sense Aylin's sudden anxiety and fear once she began to realize how close the Soul Sharing is to her people's concept of a marriage, so he wouldn't be terribly surprised at her sudden disconnection. However, he will allow her to explain why she does that, and then try to comfort her to a degree. I do want Cae to point out one misconception Aylin has about his relationship with Cel, but that'll be small potatoes compared to actually getting through the emotional exchange. Oh, this is just side stuff, but I thought it over and decided that I won't have Cel confront Aylin over the previous night. In thinking things through, I realized that Cel isn't one to rashly jump into a defensive barrage over one incident. So this time she's just going to let it slide, but she won't forget and she will be keeping a close eye on interactions between Aylin and Cae. Aylin definitely has a lot on her plate right now with the GCA and the BFAA and then her grandmother's broach suddenly getting a mind of its own on Day One and she still has questions as to why the thing did what it did. She has been on a little bit of an apology tour so she will likely confront him about how she acted the day before. She doesn't want Prim to think the people she's looking to for help can't trust each other. It all depends on how things go in the kitchen first. Should be interesting to see how Prim and Charm react to seeing Aylin's current attire. Now all I need is for Alice to reply to my last post and things can progress to the next step.

I would guess no to the school question because two attacks in a row, plus the whole tremor thing would probably be enough to have them say just cancel for the next week. That would lend itself to some training time for the scouts so they can finally leave the Manor on their own. And in any case, I would think the town council would have a huge impact on a decision like that, and so far they seem to be cowards that jump to conclusions. In my mind nothing in the square will even be open. Not sure if anyone else had that thought, but it makes sense in my mind. At the very least I can see schools being closed to protect the children of Barton. But I dunno about the rest of the town. On the one hand, having everyone still in town but most of the town closed is odd. But on the other hand, evacuating the town plays right into Dark Vortex's plan. And some of the hardliners on the council have a bit of stubbornness about them in that they won't surrender to whatever is attacking them. They just incorrectly assume that since it's dark energy that a being who happens to use dark energy will only make matters worse. And of coursr they don't want to instill panic in the citizens. And that's exactly what the GCA council wants to prevent and why Aylin was told to keep quiet about the issues outside of town.

I would guess that if school wasn't cancelled, a lot of people would be scared and not leaving their homes. This is partly why I'm having DV avoid the school anyway. I eventually want to bring them over here but I'd need to update a few things to reflect the recent changes I made to her character, like her family on Orrin's side and change up the dates.

You think you know what's right for Seren then you stay here and train her yourself." near the end of their game of I'm better than you. I do see Aylin pulling the eighty years of hard training in weapons and military tactics card at some point. This is going to be great. xp

Okay so I made my latest post and I feel like I need to explain a couple things with it. Just so Cel doesn't think she's mocking Caelen with her laughter at the shirt that landed on his head and fell down to his shoulders she's not. What she's laughing at more or less is the hilarity of the situation because it's so random and so unlike Caelen. Plus, at that point she's not even certain if Caelen is fully aware that a shirt did what it did to him and that the kitchen has all kinds of toys and other items strewn about. xp
Second, Aylin as I've said in the past is pretty much a living radar for detecting magic. This is more than just an ability she has but it's a part of the belief system I'm working up for her. The base for those beliefs are rooted in Animism, most importantly Celtic Animism. It explains why she's so hung up on praying to her late husband and why she feels a connection with trees, especially casimir trees. If you think about it Shintoism is highly Animistic with the way a Shinto believes in animal spirits and their connection to the Kami and the world around them. That's why Aylin said she could feel Caelen connect with the world because she connects her energy with the spirits. I guess you could say the monks and nuns at the Abbey are Animists as well.
I actually came up with that while trying to compare Nicolae to some kind of Celtic god or spirit that embodies luck. Had no luck in that search but it wasn't a wasted search for sure. 3nodding

forgot the handkerchief in my description. Oh well . Poor Charm had now been thrown against a wall for a second time and the poor thing is dizzy from it. Plus, since a spare shirt (like a nightshirt even though when OC sleeps outside she sleeps in her clothes) kept being brought up I felt as though it had to have bunnies on it, and something had to land on Cae's head since Charm is going to endlessly cause him trouble, thus the now infinity scarf like shirt now on Cae.
Someone kindly catch Charm?

Responded! Btw, I was trying to make the shirt too shiny, just that it was slick enough to do what it did xD I also covered it with a bunny pattern, I didn't want to offend Cae too much but oh well I'm sure Charm will not tease him for a while after that. xD
