WraythRose Darkthorn Ahh, yeah. We wouldn't get a day off here for that. I tried to get my family to celebrate it because sounds better than getting drunk and watching fireworks on tv.... In the end we just had some chinese new year? sweets and wished each other happy chinese new year and went to bed! rolleyes Did you have a good time in the end? (like once everything was already cleaned and the good food has been eaten...) that's really sweet, are you asian? it was a small thing with my mother, she cooked a massive and I mean MASSIVE meal and I stuffed my face and got a red envelope which I feel embarrassed about taking at my age LOL. I thought my cousin and his kids were coming over- but its not until next week, so it's alright. I'm a super awkward penguin with any sorta get together ^^;

And with the sweets and the meal and the red envelopes (which I am also way too old for!) the asian new year sounded more fun, kinda like a smaller christmas? So i tried to get my mom and my brother to try it...pffft. eh free money, dont say no stare Ahh, very good food then? heart Well then, that's not too bad. Not having a huge family get-together. 3nodding Looking forward to seeing your cousins next week then? Ha, penguin...for some reason I'm imagining your little egg drawings as super awkward penguins xd

Hopefully sometime in the future I will be fluent in them again. O__O chinese is hard. I just cant really learn tonal languages >_< heh, I would celebrate loads of random festivals that I like. Especially the ones with good food or dressing up! 3nodding
