All things considered? A hug wasn't that bad. He was expecting a speech or pamphlets and flyers and maybe a buggysticker and pin or two. A hug however? Rengath could deal with hugs. Sighing, one claw came up to just kind of... pat Vanth on the shoulder. "That's nice Vanth. Very nice. I am sure that the hugs of today to will save all the humans for tomorrow." Hugged or not, it didn't stop him from going over to the cloak, pushing at whatever was under it with his foot. "So, is it dead?"

Cain's eyebrows visibly lifted a little at the monster's mention of his father, if not surprised than a least mildly intrigued. Perhaps they had more in common than he had initially thought. Still, this seemed oddly out of character for Rowly, who had seemed pretty amiable and carefree when he'd seen him with Bella. Of course, it could have been circumstantial -- there had been no 'limitless pile of treasure' back at the festival, but it still seemed rather odd to him for such a drastic change such as this. He hadn't seemed the type to want to run the town. In fact, it set his teeth on edge a little, thinking about it, his skin crawling the more he thought about it. That was his ambition, had always been his ambition, and the thought of someone else who wanted the same thing produced such an intense feeling of rivalry, even without touching the gold which had produced those effects in the were-penguin, that his eyes visibly narrowed a little.
He was right. A great deal of power did lie in money. But it wasn't everything.
"Only a fool thinks they can buy power," he replied in a dark tone, most certainly sparked by this sudden potential competition.

He hadn't been asking Kato a question - in fact, Jinhai had only just been looking for the pale haired boil, but instead he got a familiar voice calling to him as though they were still right next to each other from just a few feet over.
Oh, Kato.
With a glance down at the beloved treasures he held in his hands, Jinhai looped the necklace around his neck and slid the ring onto his index finger, feeling very good about himself indeed - surprising, considering all that had happened - and that he tended to dress very mildly normally - but he rather liked feeling prettied up every now and then.
Even if that "now and then" was really "once in a blue moon." Jinhai made his way through the crowds to where Kato was standing with Avery, Malcom, and a few others.
"What is it?" he asked, leaning over the other to peer at the floor, just as there was an all-too-familiar, way-too-smooth voice that wafted across to them, Dis swaggering up to them with a devilish expression on his face. Jinhai merely glanced at him, a frown on his face.
"Dis, don't touch him," he said mildly, with a Look at the vampire before he went back to examining what Kato was looking at.

Alas Kato, Dis didn't give up that easily. Getting down on level with him, the vampire tried his best to seductively crawl his was over. "Come on now, I won't bite Kato. I just want a bit of fun...and a kiss. Gimme a kiss and we can call it a day okay?" Dis threw in a wink for effect.

When the flower didn't come back snowman frowned and started looking around. Well.... he didn't really want to go into the water, despite how pretty it was... He placed a hand on the ground and noticed that the flooring is very uneven, grooved almost. The grooves seem to have a pattern to it.... Snowman's brow lofted as he rubbed his hand over the pattern trying to figure it out. "The Floor George, it's rather odd..."
He looked at the mouse as he stood up trying to see if he could tell how the pattern went. "It's ashame it's so dark down here." Snowman frowned as he felt his way across the floor following the groves a little ways.

Dabir grinned. “There’s more in the water.” He pointed a thumb at the pool and leaned forward to garner a closer look at the rings on her hands. After a moment, he nodded his approval. “They look swell.” The boil looked on with calm amusement as Callie walked over to pull out a golden sword. He nodded at her, impressed with the catch. “Nice,” he noted as he stood back, arms crossed while he watched her swing the weapon. Out of the corner of his eyes he noticed other students picking out more treasures. One of them was even sitting on a pile of it. Odd, but whatever. Lips curled into a smirk and swept out his arm, gesturing for her to lead. “Lead the way, knight.” But before he followed Callie, he placed the crown on top of his head. One hand held onto the crown as he bent down to pick out a few rings and slipped them on.Ol-j-man Yeahhh <3 Pardon the short length orz

Argyle bristled with sheer terror as the cloak was shifted and moved and kicked at. His glow flared up and pulsed as he lunged towards it, putting himself between Rengath and the fabric. " DON'T DO THAT," he spat at him, glaring past the thick frames of his glasses. "We have to approach this as a worst case scenario and we...and...I...don't you know how to do anything?!"

"RENGATH."Vanth recoiled when he kicked the cloak, breaking off the ~soul-healing hug~ she was attempting. She crossed her arms and brooded at him. "You're so insensitive." But it didn't stop Vanth from getting nosy and peering down as well.

Callie grinned like a fool as she made up a salute with the weapon, holding it horizontally before her face with a quick, "Yes, my liege!" She then pointed the sword in a random direction before them and marched on - well, walked more like since too much force in her steps caused water to splash, but she walked with evident purpose of the quest they were totally here for.
"A heroine never takes more than she needs," she said with a shake of her head. "A weapon befits a knight, and the rings are the king's favor that follows her and gives good luck. But I wonder . . ." She cast her eyes out towards the shining chalice and the students who had tried, and failed, to move it. "What's that doing there? And why can't anyone move it? I read a story about the famous reaper and a sword couldn't be removed from the stone he placed it in, and this sorta reminds me of it for some reason, but . . ." It was weird to say the least.

Rengath's hand shot up in self defense, "Sweet JACK, it's not like it's not already dead or whatever." Huffing he glared at the both of them. "What is with you guys, seriously? You want to hug every human but look, you can't." Shaking his head, he motioned to the thing. "You can't hug every human. And-" He snorted. "I am not insensitive, I'm realistic. You just can't save all the humans. What are you going to do? Try and set up a shelter for them? Jack." Arms crossed he still stood by them. He wasn't about to admit he was curious to what was going on.

Apparently the words from Jinhai was not enough... as usual. No offense to the dragon, but words were Never enough for this horny vampire. "Nononono NO." With each no he scooted back even more, kicking up dirt at Dis as he went. The vampire was now CRAWLING towards him... something was wrong with this picture. Kato stumbled a little, finally reaching the waters edge... his hand accidentally touching the water. Which he removed, and shook relentlessly. "No." Kato added one more time... like it would really make a difference right?

"Dis," said Jinhai again, idly pushing one braid over his shoulder. "Really? Really?"
The vampire was now crawling across the ground, and Kato was scrambling back away from him as fast as possible, looking like an upside-down skitter. Jinhai watched him go for a moment, and then looked back at Dis, crouching down in front of him.
"Here," he said, and reached out, pulling on Dis' shirtfront and promptly planting a kiss on his lips - not a very long one, nor a particularly passionate one - just a touch of their lips together, really - but still a kiss.
Then he pulled away as if he hadn't just done a damn thing, said "that should satisfy you for now, please," walked over to where Kato was, and reached down to help the other boil up.

The water remained the same volume throughout from no discernible location, though occasionally the song would burst into abrupt, sharp, painful shrieks. It was great they had all this treasure, but where were they going to put it? What if others discovered their stash? No, they needed to plan carefully, perhaps take some at a time, hide their finds, but where and when? Maybe if they snuck out now..... There was clearly something underneath the cloak, a small lump. It wasn't until May picked it up that the contents were revealed:
Bits and pieces of what seemed like simple white coat, though it was hard to tell what colours through the thick red staining it and the blue light source. Most likely white and... gold? Beside the coat was an odd stone tablet, small, only the size of two hands really. It was heavy to pick up though, and had a simple engraving on it that was more picture than words: a picture of a sword perhaps?
The cloak revealed nothing else. The chalice made no noise as it was hit with the sword. In fact, it did not move or stir at all. Zeke could perhaps have someone investigate the symbols later, but who was familiar with this potentially archaic language...?

Sin had picked up about as much as he could possibly carry and somehow didn't drown or sink. Finally hauling himself out of the pool he made a beeline for the exit. Some people were huddled around something but that just wasn't important right now. He had treasure and he was going to go back to his dorm, hide it and then get more.
Why? Because you couldn't have too much treasure.

Sin would be happy to know that the rest of his path, other than potential graduating students calling him out, was entirely clear of any sort of obstacles. He would be one rich demon come tomorrow.
Who cares if he needed a job really. OOC: EXITING - ANYONE Is FREE to exit the cave now! If you do so, simply write EXITING. It will then be assumed your character has ICly exited (will not post any more) until the update later on tonight! - HOWEVER. IF ANY character quotes you while exiting (quotes your character as well), then unfortunately you are stopped by them sad Uh oh....
