Shina nodded briskly. "Well, then, welcome to the caravan Raikou. Lunch will be ready shortly. And if you ever feel like bringing me a fish, I'd be happy to cook it for you," she told the large legendary. Then she broke into her packs, searching out enough food to feed herself, the Raikou, and the inevitable trainers whose supplies had already run out. No matter, she had planned for that.

Genesis hadn't expected Atlas to show himself, but her plan was easily adjusted to include his new position. When she thought herself near enough the traveling caravan, she allowed her searching eyes to land upon her Zubat and, brightening, shifted her gait from a quick walk to a quicker jog.

"Oh, I'm so sorry, dear!" she said apologetically as she neared Keria, making her way through the throng of people. The quirks of her speech had changed readily to match her disguise, and the pitch of her voice was much higher than usual, although only Doyle would know what her normal voice was like.

"I've only just caught him, and he still thinks he's wild. He forgets he has a trainer to worry over him now," she said with a laugh. Then, stretching her arm towards the other's head, "Come here, Perry-boy. I hope he hasn't been too trouble to you."

Atlas readily complied, although his ear twitched at the change in name. He had been told it would be used, but Genesis had been telling the truth when she said he was newly tamed, and names in general still took some getting used to.

Once he had comfortably seated himself on his trainer's free shoulder, he turned towards the hat that had done well in keeping him above the heads of others and directed an appreciative screech at it.

Doyle had nodded at her comment about them being vague. They certainly had. Not their fault if they got it mixed up. He jogged after her when she picked up the pace to reach the caravan. Hearing the change in her voice had him inwardly snickering but no one would tell as he tended to wear a permanent scowl on his face. "I see you found him, Eliza." He said glad the name slipped off his tongue easily. He stopped near Genesis and had to put a hand up to make sure Archie did wobble and fall off.

Ark raced ahead of Doyle and reached the caravan moments after Genesis. She immediately walked over to the big Raikou and began circling it. This one would be really handy to copy for an illusion. She finally stopped in front of him and looked up at him. "Ru!" She called in hello.

"Oh, more newcomers! Welcome," Shina called. "I'm the caravan leader, Shina Kiremono." Her hands weren't idle as she set out journey bread, jerky, trail mix, and a few different cheeses and jams. The spread wasn't lavish, but then, this was lunch. If they didn't want to pitch camp fully or spend a good time gathering edibles, they were limited to the non-perishables they carried. Shina made sure to set aside a reasonable amount for the Raikou as well, not wanting to start lunch with a legendary making inroads to the buffet.

The talk of food gurgled the hunger monster in the older woman's middle abdomen, driving her forward with extreme desire alone so it could be fed. Cetus started off simple -- a slice of bread smothered with a bit too much jam -- than chose to stand to enjoy her meal. At the appearance of a new duo to the caravan, she inwardly groaned, but remembered Mrs. Pearls was a damn extrovert. Ah. She'd have to say hello.

Licking her lips to rid remnants of crumbs and the preserved goo trapped in the creases of her mouth, the Galactic grunt strode forward and than gave the two a cheery hello. Too cheery actually, to the point it sounded forced.

"Oh hello~" Mrs. Pearls chuckled, waving to them with the hand that wasn't raping the side of her cheek like it always did. "More new people? Welcome to the caravan~"

Hearing that they were stopping for lunch, Anise dismounted and pulled some food out of her pack. She and Gypsy had made frequent side-trips to forage for food and medicinal plants, but the speedy Electric-type was able to easily catch up to the caravan. Even with everyone riding, the caravan could only go as fast as its slowest members, and a large group tends to move slower than a lone rider.

So Anise had fresh greens and berries as well as some dried meat for herself and her pokemon. Gypsy was content to graze, but Anise offered tidbits to her other pokemon, mostly berries.

Keria smiled at the approaching trainer, "It’s all right he was no trouble at all, Pokémon seem to like my hat." She nodded to Doyle as he joined them. “I'm Keria, are you two thinking of joining the caravan?" The caravan seemed to be getting a lot of new members lately. She offered her hand to the other trainers. “I’m sure he will start to remember soon, although my emolga can still be quite a handful.”

Voltron watched as the zubat’s trainer arrived and collected it, scurrying up the first tall thing he could find he launched himself off and glided over to Keria landing on her shoulder.

Chiyo's ear twitched and she stood up, carefully slipping out from under her trainer's arm. She bristled. That Raikou - for whatever reason he was here - had better not get near her girl! A surge of protectiveness flowed though the Blitzle and she did what normally she would never do. She challenged the Raikou to a battle!

Genesis winced when Atlas screeched so close to her ear, but she put on a relieved smile and nodded when Doyle had joined them. She was glad the members of this group seemed to be friendly, and she greeted each in turn as they came.

"Thank you for the welcome, dears," she replied. They all seemed ready enough to add more to their numbers, and friendly, too, which could prove to be a big help in their mission. But would it be needed?

She avoided Keria's question for the moment -- she did not yet know how close the Raikou stuck to the group, and her answer would depend on that. Hoping to strike two birds with one stone, she looked about her, as if curious and eager to see the goings of the caravan group after she and her companion had been received so kindly. She gasped when her eyes landed on the Raikou, as if she hadn't expected a legendary to be among them, and asked, "Is that a Raikou?!"

Atlas rose warily when the others approached. He had an Emolga on one side, and a Purrloin on the other. He was at a disadvantage on both counts, and he half-spread his wings in preparation of flight. Genesis patted him soothingly in response, and although it lessened his alarm, it did not entirely remove it.

"Staaar, come back!" Joey called plaintively. The Rampardos, busy eating flowers, ignored him. Sighing, Joey turned back to the group. Where had Lily gone?

After a few minutes of searching, he found Lily eating a fish by the stream. Her paws and face were wet, and he blinked. Had she...caught that fish herself? Huh, he hadn't thought a fire type like her would fish. Shrugging, he decided that since both of his pokemon seemed to have lunch covered, he would get some food for himself. Now where was the nice caravan leader with all the food?

@Ryuu:

"Oh, yes. He recently joined our group. Apparently an easy food source is worth carrying a pack or two for him. Isn't his coloration gorgeous?" Shina said brightly. Briefly, her eyes flicked over the other trainer's Zubat, noting it's rather attractive markings.

Yellow eyes watched Ark as it circled him. "Kou!" The Raikou pawed at the ground answering Ark's hello with his own style of greeting. Grabbing a piece of jerky which Shina had set aside for him he settled down and began to knaw on it.

A soft snort escaped the legendary as the smaller electric zebra challenged him to a battle. Basically he ignored it's challenge and went on eating. He wasn't that hungry, but still what ever it was he was eating tasted good.

Being ignored infuriated Chiyo. She ran up to the Raikou and slammed into him. Not the best idea, probably, but that made her SO MAD!

"Chiyo!" Shina barked, alarmed. The little Blitzle was barely healed! Aside from that, as caravan leader, it was Shina's job to keep the peace in the caravan. She looked to her largest pokemon, conveniently still out and nearby. "Rasha, if you please."

At her trainer's request, Rasha smoothly interjected herself into the situation. She pushed between the Raikou and Blitzle, using her bulk to crowd Chiyo back. "{Hey! That was quite unladylike! You have a trainer to care for, and attacking a legendary is certainly not the best way to look out for her,}" Rasha chastised the smaller pokemon.

"Yes, and really unusual, too," Genesis replied. Things were going well thus far. If he had only come recently and hadn't been caught by anyone, he fit the description of an experiment. His lack of caution and willingness to work with humans pointed in that direction, too, and by this point she was almost sure the Raikou was what they'd been looking for. The only trouble lay in capturing it without the others noticing.

Before she could continue, however, she saw a smaller Blitzle crash against the Raikou. Alarmed, she shot a glance at Doyle to see if he'd noticed before returning her gaze to the legendary. She was worried it would start to attack or, worse, leave.

Thankfully, the caravan's leader was most suited to her role, along with her Pokémon. The small dispute seemed quickly settled, and Genesis hoped it would stay that way. At the very least, Shina's efficient response to the potential trouble convinced her that staying with the group would be to their advantage in their search when it came to supplies and protection.

"We'd love to join your caravan group, dear, if we can," she said earnestly, remembering Keria's mention of the caravan. She hoped Doyle wouldn't mind that he was a part of her "we."

"Where are you headed?"
