(( WOW this thread has gotten some attention. Need to pay attention to the other locations more often. sweatdrop
While there's people here, Terry Bats & Symbiot Kara? Or do you think this will even reach the Batcave. Kara will only get out if it reaches the Batcave / someone opens her chamber. And Terry I won't bring in if you all have enough characters moving around here. ))

"I don't know how long it'll take me to get used to that-"
Tim whispered, glancing back to the solid material they had completely phased through together. He stuck close to the other two, and braced for what was to come, mentally or physically.
"Lead the way, RC."
(( Hi Rosie. Terryyyyyy *ahem* yeah there's a lot going on here now. xD ))

Red Hood looked up at the ceiling as he heard the commotion going on upstairs.
"Gahh come on, not now!" feeling conflicted, his inner consciousness to help his ex-comrades in whatever problem they were dealing with.
Just gotta get in, get the stuff, get out... get in, get the stuff, get out.. get in--... ahh goddamn it
He looked to his partner who had just came in from behind him. "Looks like we're gonna be a little sidetracked. Feel like meeting the Bat Family?"

Angelica smiled almost beside Jason and chuckled, "Wow, I didn't realize this was that kind a date. Oh well, let's get on with it then? Do we just Follow-The-Gun-Shots to find them?"

Jason blushed a small bit under his mask when she called their little excursion a date. He moved his hand up to cover his face and quickly realized he was still wearing his helmet.
Back to the situation. He replied to her question as he started running to the closest stairway "They are on the floor above us. Let's get moving."

Meanwhile, the I.O. combatants' communicators revealed a very familiar voice. The picture and signal were still week, but after a little tweaking, it was crystal clear just WHO it was . . . and to a good few of them, a harsh little reminder as to which amigo they shoulda been keeping a closer eye on! *bzzt bzzt "c'mon, ya sumbi-!!" *bzzt* "AHA!!" "Hello, IO Assholes! It's me again, Arell L'amour, yo' frien'ly neighbahood Gator man! If de backgroun' looks familiah t' some, it is . . . it's de communications room in yo' base. WHICH I TOOK! By da way, SHIELD, da X-Men an' a few othas're heah, too. So just do yo'selves a favah an' toin yaselves in to da neahest supahero befo' I tell Co'nel Furah t' open a Hiroshima-sized can a' whup-a** on all y'all ********! Negotiations ain't an option! Y'all got twenny minutes!" the voice of Arell L'amour rang through the communicators, and true to form it sounded like the Cajun had been gargling rocks and tobasco sauce before his impromptu broadcast. And as quickly as it came up . . . it was gone! SkuldHJG I kinda just did a touchdown dance in the middle of the library?))

The soldiers before Dart fled from him, speaking not a word of where the intended person was or what was going on, being only suffice in mindset to rank up back with their leader to report. Letting them be, Dart looked to the mansion itself, hearing what seems to be a scuffle inside and smaller explosions. A riot? A cout? Dart wasn't entirely sure what to think of things yet, but he decided that going at things from the front door was probably wasn't the wisest. He spot a relatively quiet balcony further towards the East Wing and opened his wings once more, flying once more into the air, unaware of Redhood and his companion as he found himself upon that balcony.
He took a deep breath as he landed, a hand touching his chest as he felt the magic of the stone draining him and thought it best for now to uncover his power. A great brim of emerald light surrounded and snapped out of existence abruptly, revealing his normal form with his green colored gauntlet and sword at his hip of which he drew and proceeded towards the window panned door. Seeing no one in the adjoining room, he used his sword and slice cleanly through the modest locks in the middle of the door to it's hinge and opened it, walking into the lavishly adorned room and started following the noise.
"Just what is going on around here?"

MahoHaku ] I'm well aware of who this character is. I grew up with this game myself and still even play it to this day. I understand his ideals and motivations and his actions and mindset. To this world, he will seem different and much less fluid for a time. I'm not unskilled in this aspect, this is him before he is getting accustomed to the world here as they did have a particular way of talking in his world that, frankly, was a bit robotic to be sure. I don't recall making it seem like any "game-play" elements were going on. I explained what the Rose Petals did, their effect and what occured. Perhaps, looking back, he doesn't really have any allies so adding that bit was only confusing, but I did just as he would, and each technique they did in their world, was followed by it's vocal command. I will probably use less of it, true enough, but games aren't the only source of things that did this. Plenty of TV shows and anime did this, even a few DC moments include this, so I'm not exactly in the wrong by calling out what the technique is, but to make things fluid, he probably won't exclaim it every time, if people really are bugged by it. Things don't happen immediately. He literally *just* got into this world to be flung into this. He doesn't know where he is, where is family, Albert, anyone is. He is literally lost and pulling at threads, so it'll be a bit before he fully develops his character role in this universe. Once he knows allegiances exist in this world, he will probably want to join the JL or perhaps be convinced to help protect youthful ones in Xavier's school. It's in the air right now, he followed clues and the young girl's directions to Wayne's home to get answers, so try to not be that judgmental of this character *yet*. He's getting ground. I'm very well aware of how to role-play, thanks, I've been doing it for years here, on forums and messaging. I'm also aware of what powers are available to Dart and what their effects are. If you would recall, Rose from the game explained early on when he first transformed is that the Dragoon Suit is fueled by chaos, carnage and combat. This instinctively means that those who use them are aware of when the suit can be most active and thus, he could sense the conflict within the mansion. If there were no other circumstances, you would be right, but I'm not god-modding in knowing that there is some type of conflict going on to fuel his power. It would be god-modding to know exactly what's going on, where everyone is and who his allies actually are. If I was god-modding, I would've had Dart spot those two in the bushes or as they leave. Try to understand that I do appreciate your input, but I would in turn appreciate it if you think about things before you point at people. Speak to me at least in private or ask me how much I know before blathering like a know-it-all, expecting me to be some rookie. It'd be much appreciated and I didn't come back here to be insulted on how to know how to make a character act. If I was being a blatant snot and were so obvious to have no skill, fine, but my works should speak for themselves by now.

Nightmare The Blasphemy For the record, I was kinda thinking most of the same things as Maho, even though I've never heard of Legend of the Dragoon before now. I'm not trying to jump into an argument or anything, but I think he is correct on the aspect of how your character is more of a gameplay character than realistic. Try not to take all this to heart. MahoHaku Also I'm a little happy you pointed out the things you did. It's good to know sometimes that I'm not alone on these thoughts.

It'd be much appreciated and I didn't come back here to be insulted on how to know how to make a character act. If I was being a blatant snot and were so obvious to have no skill, fine, but my works should speak for themselves by now. It was nice to assume that I wasn't thinking about things with my last post. You then posted about this being replied to publicly, then did just that yourself. To start, I wanted to say that I did think about it a lot and I did discuss it with other RPers and crew members before replying to you. I know of at least two others I talked to before replying who both agreed precisely on my point: I wanted not only to reply to you but post to re-iterate the rules of the guild to newcomers which we do have when they happen upon the recent pages of the Manor at least.
I would like to say that I only came at you "assuming you were a rookie" and "treating you like one" because it is what your RPing quality suggested. This was especially apparent through your use of god modding, which experienced RPers are aware of and actively avoid. It doesn't help your case to claim you weren't god modding in such an extreme sense; you still rushed into the arena and, what was it? Healed all the allies and disarmed all the baddies? I know you didn't come back to be insulted, but, and I'm being blunt here, have you considered reviewing your writing instead of defending it? If someone (and what's more, a group of people) isn't okay with something you've written, you revise it. This is what makes you a better RPer. Perhaps if you used your years as an RPer by reviewing and revising your writing to make it better rather than lashing at people who ask for you to RP properly (and fairly), it would be more apparent to me that you have been writing for a while.
Secondly I would like to talk to you about RP places. As a major Roleplayer here I like to be informed about plot detail and characters being added. Seeing as there are so few major Rpers and senior members from the guild including myself it isn't that hard to send a chain PM with all of our names asking if you could insert a new character into an area you know there are active Role players. I for one didn't get any notice and it threw me through a loop. I wasn't asked for permission, when I created the Manor, and was part of the original who created this whole story line to begin with. Out of kindness I was willing to give up the plot I was going to have with the manor to fit it to your characters deeds, if you were willing to compromise and remove god modding elements and either play Dart as himself or as a OC not both. But instead you lashed back when you were the one who jumped in without permission or any forewarning to the people who started making the Manor active again (i.e. Soulless and I) and only contacted Skuld which isn't enough. Soul and I quit for a long time originally because this happened the last time. There was a plan that we wanted to see RP'ed out to the end, people jumped in "Acting like rookies whether they were actually new or not" and threw our plan that we set with our fellow Rpers, and then posted pages and pages without us leaving us behind. We came back to catch up and follow a plan again because we spend the last couple weeks planning this out to get back into the role playing mindset, when suddenly after we get some momentum the same exact thing that turned us away happened again. Dejavu right? Please consider that you jumped in without any permission or letting us know ahead of time. You god modded and we were willing to let you go through if you were willing to remove that god modding so that all our characters could be on the same page and rework the plot a little. RPing isn't a one-man job; it takes team work and cooperation to be successful.
I also don't appreciate that you wrote that I told you that you "were being a blatant snot and were so obvious to have no skill" when I certainly said nothing of the sort. Putting words into my mouth doesn't help your case, especially when it's evident that I wasn't trying to be aggressive. If anyone's calling anyone a "blathering know-it-all", well, let's just say that is what speaks for itself. Also to Cold Doubt I am a girl and thank you for agreeing c:

MahoHaku Alright, first off, I apologize for the scorn shown. I was not having a good day, so to see someone calling me out on this didn't exactly help my mood. I should've been more composed and retained my manners but I let go unfortunately by the end. I do apologize sincerely for this. However, yoir stance doesn't really change our situation here. I used to have characters, I don't know if you even recall them, but I used a custom Sorrow Lantern and played Slade very briefly. I didn't see my character when I came back, so I actually did check up on the rules and going ons and nothing said I had to notify anyone, the exact opposite actually, that I could post a character and start working and if there were issues, they'd be addressed. If you expected a message, that's on you for not making that clear, anywhere as far as I've looked. Secondly, the same goes for jumping into areas. The whole point of this place was the random encounters and allegiances that'd occur. Just as I have not seen anything about messaging somebody about permission to come into the character map, I've not seen anything about permission to enter. I saw something or other about updates or whatnot but I was led to believe that was someone else's job. My mistake if that's not the case. If you wanted a more private experience, typically people put warnings in the title to ask first, otherwise it's open game. Thirdly, I think you're confusing what god-modding is dear. These aren't main characters I'm disarming, they're friggin peons. NPCs, otherwise known as free-range barbecued chicken. If I tried to instantly disarm an actual PC, that's different. That would be god-modding. But I'm not. I used a tactic to disarm them that would work on a typical NPC. I don't care frankly if you're Hercules, if you're not expecting a giant gust of wind out of nowhere to sweep you, you're probably going to lose what you're not firmly holding. Frankly you should be glad I didn't send them straight into a wall to be crushed.
You also need to recheck what I said about Rose Storm. It doesn't heal wounds it prevents truly fatal or maiming ones, ala, the technique's actual power, summoning a temporary shield to reduce the size of wounds that would be inflicted on a person. That is in his range of power. It is the character I'm playing. I didn't do or use anything that Dart would not have in having possession of the Jade Dragoon.
And finally, your actions confirm what you think of me. It would've been polite to convene a proper discussion including me, seeing as I'm involved and deal with this as a group. I'd like to know who was involved and who said what, otherwise I have no confidence in believing you actually discussed this with others and rushed on the hip. That behavior, if that did happen, is exactly treating me like an outsider, even though I've been here for probably longer than most due to my hiatus.
I have no reason at this point to change anything drastic. I know what god-modding is, I know my limits and bounds and I'm existing in them. If you don't agree with that, that's pretty much your problem at this point as I'm doing nothing that violates anybody else in this current situation. And to be frank, needing to permission to enter a story that had no indication that people were restricted is pretty stupid. The world is an unexpected place and, last I checked, this is a role-play. Not life and death. Chill and enjoy what you see.

(Okay, I'm only going to say this once. Please keep the argument OFF the role playing forum. It doesn't matter whether or not one person is right or wrong, let's be adults here and get back to role playing. We're all here to have fun, so let's not spoil the experience for everyone. If anyone has any issues with a post, just simply and calmly PM the individual about it -- talk it out and resolve the issue. If a ruling needs to be addressed or questions about what's allowed, you can PM me or innocent little Rosie. We'll be happy to answer any questions you have. Now, may we please get back to the story.... On a different front, do we want Terry to come up from the Batcave? Rosie has him and it would make sense that he'd try to come up to defend the manor.) Angelica nodded as she followed Jason up one of the stairwells. Glancing around the former Avenger spies two men wearing black armor swivel around with energy rifles. Aiming her right hand which was now glowing, Firestar gave a quick quip in an almost sing-songy voice, "Ding! You're done!" The fiery mutant launched a microwave blast encompassing the two armed gunmen. Both Black Talons were knocked down by Angelica's attack. The rest of the squad on the second floor whirls around from the attack at their rear flank, "What the..." Jason sees four Black Talons round the corner of the hallway ahead of him blasting..... From a different angle, Dart would see several of these black armored men with rifles running down through a cracked door in the reading room that the magical warrior had entered the manor. The blond dragoon (I hope I got that right) could hear blaster fire. Dart would have easily noticed that several of those men seemed to have.... tar and feathers plastered on their armor from a magical trap that Artemis set earlier, "Goddamn, I'm gonna stuff a grenade down one of these heroes throats!!!" Downstairs, Starfire twitched uncontrollably from the electricity coursing through her. The Tamarian couldn't stop her convulsions and started to have colored blotches fill her vision as she slipped into unconsciousness from Titanium Man's electrical assault through the line.

Jason was running along in front of Firestar as he saw the two soldiers blasted away right in front of him by his partner. Immediately after she spoke, he turned and gave a disappointed look to her. "Really? 'ding, you're done'? That's the best one-liner you could th-- GAHH!!" Jason was too distracted to think about the four soldiers until it was too late; they had already aimed and fired away at Jason's right upper torso. The blast knocked him on the floor and up against the wall.
"Christ, that burns!!" He yelled, clutching his shoulder. He had to get his mind back in the game, no matter the pain he was in. He used his right arm to pull the pistol out of his right holster. He kept his hand by his hip to ease the pain from his shoulder and fired two shots, both hitting two of the Black Talons in front of him in the face. As they dropped to the ground, he fired two shots each into the chests of the remaining soldiers.

Firestar's eyes widen, as she snaps her head in Jason's direction just after Jason returned fire with the Black Talons, "We're being shot at, and you giving me grief about a quip!?! I mean really..." Angelica stopped a moment to blast a black armored trooper trying to close in with a combat knife. The I.O. trooper got bodily blown back through the doorway he was coming out of. "And as far as my quip.... I'm basically a walking microwave oven, so ... yeah.... they're done!!! Now can we move on to taking down these yahoos, if it isn't so much trouble!?!"From a couple of the I.O. troopers, groans of pain and anguish can be heard, whilst three of their compatriots stop from rounding the corner -- pulling out grenades to throw around the corner....

Dart's curiosity had now been greatly peeked, hearing the soldiers moving down the hall. He may have otherwise been unfaltered by the sound of them, but he heard faintly the remark of throwing something into the heroes.
Heroes? So these weren't actually an authority he was dealing with. They were raiders of some kind, which seemed to make sense now why they opened fire on him to begin with. Maybe they were aware of what he was and thought they could eliminate him. Sorely mistaken on their parts, but now they were rushing towards others apparently. The inhabitants of the mansion no doubt. But at this moment, Dart had to stop before opening the door. This wasn't exactly his conflict. He needed Wayne's help surely, but now he was getting into something completely different. He was hoping that there was some kind of confusion or someone simply was trying to cause chaos outside. Now it seemed like, now the more he listened, that chaos itself was going on in the mansion. he should've known better considering what he felt, but he thought it was going to be simple. Was he prepared to harm those that may actually turn out to be his allies, just from this angle seeming like foes?
His hand clutched the hilt of his sword tightly, unsheathing it from it's scabbard and held it at the ready as he cracked the door open as silently as he could, watching while the soldiers came to the end of the halls. They clearly wanted to take by surprise whom they wanted to confront, then from their pockets, they pulled out those things they must've spoken of and Dart immediately realized what kind of tactic this must be. Clearly they were some kind of bomb, something he wasn't unfamiliar with and in his heart, he knew he wouldn't be making the wrong choice. He couldn't allow something like this to go on his notice.
Taking a single, deep breath, he then bashed through the door, the wooden port smashing open against the wall as he sprinted out and into the hall. He hoped that'd be enough to grab their attention away from what they were doing, giving few precious moments for whom their prey was, crying out as he raised his sword over his shoulder, "Not while I'm here brigand!" And threw it, aiming for the furthest one with the grenades and while they would react with that, two orbs of green light would enter his palms, running head-long towards them with his body orientation lower, making it, if anything, slightly harder to aim for and threw those two orbs towards his opponents, small missiles of green light with wind funneling around them, launching outward to hit others that didn't immediately get away from them.
