Sid pretended to shiver slightly, "I'm afraid this coat isn't very thick and I'm cold natured. Would it be possible to ask for a blanket?" 'I'm a harmless drunk who's suffering from the cold. C'mon...take the bait duckie!'

El Diablo Loco wasn't too comfortable with silence in the room, but he couldn't help but stay quiet. There wasn't a whole lot to say, really. A part of his was hoping Sid was wrong about her, and another part of him believed some of it to be true. Though, what tickled him was the part where he said '******** a couple times' Diablo laughed a bit and thought to himself, 'Oh, Sid. You're a moron.' then laughed a bit more. Meanwhile in the brig, a few cells away from Sid, Alberto was using his hat for a pillow and his heavy coat for a blanket when he could hear a woman and a man- who he found out to be Sid- conversing. . . loudly. Alberto groaned and he said to the two, "Don't talk so loud! I have a headache!"

Jak laid there silent as the grave, her mind was off somewhere else. 'Oh no...what did he say to Diablo?! He's acting weird now! Oh no...this isn't happening! It can't! Damn you Sid!' She curled up tighter, her eyes wanted to cry in frustion but her brain wouldn't let her. 'He believes whatever lie that psychopath told him too! That means he doesn't trust me! And...I don't want to think about this anymore!'
Sid looked at the man in the other cell and frowned. "Sorry, brother." 'Oh great...so much for getting the girl to come in here!'

Alberto just grunted and then went back to sleep. The drugs were wearing off faster than usual, and he wasn't liking it at all. So, he curled up and tried to fall back asleep. Meanwhile, Diablo stayed awake. When the silence became unbearable, he rolled over so that he was facing her. He lied there for a moment, just looking at her, until he asked "What did you see in that loser, anyway?" Of course he wasn't trying to sound insecure. . even though he was. . he just wanted to know.

Jak looked at him and sighed. "I was young and he was the captain's son. I didn't know any better. He wasn't always a drunken lunitic. Before his father died he was your average blue rogue and hardly ever drank." She wiggled in a little closer to him, her eyes careful. "I left him because he mistreated me. There is nothing between us and there hasn't been for years."
Sid looked away from the man and back at Kat who he gave another lazy smile too. "So...can I have a blanket?"

"Oh course sir..." Kat walked out of the brig in search of a blanket, when she found one she returned and held it through the bars at him, "there you go." She smiled.

El Diablo Loco allowed Jak to get closer to him, but when he felt she wasn't close enough he pulled her even closer, "So. . youuu liked him because he was a man in charge?" he asked, both trying to be funny but also being serious. He hated being serious. He hated not having a little fun, so he purposefully asked a stupid question. And while waiting for her answer, Diablo gently took her small hand into his and held it gently.

She blushed, "Not exactly no...I liked the big bad pirate." She relaxed at his touch. She hoped that this meant that her suspicions about him not trusting her where wrong. "I hadn't been out of the orphanage for very long and Captain Emilio was really good about not letting me see too much before I had a chance to grow up a little. I didn't know any better..."
Sid took the blanket and wrapped his sholders in it. "Too bad I'm stuck in here all alone," he said as he made himself comfortable against the wall. "Body heat is so much better better then cloth."

"Are you getting fresh with me Captin?" she smiled devilsihly at him, "Even if I did want to come in there, I couldn't... I don't have the key... I beleive Diablo took it with him."

Sid grinned at her, "Forgive me, I am only teasing you duckie. It's been a while since I've seen such a lovely woman that I can't help myself." He took off his hat and ran his fingers through his hair. "Thank you for your kindness and the blanket."

El Diablo Loco laughed, "I'm a big and bad Pirate," he said jokingly, "Is that why I am getting tons of love now?- If so, it took you a while." He smiled while he listened to Jak. She had never talked to him about this before, so in a way he was honoured. Diablo figured it would be fair if he also talked about his past a little, since Jak seemed to be opening up so much.
"Well, I grew up in a Monastery and the Priests were the same way with me- Never letting me hear or see too much. . Only when I left, I wished so much that I could go back."

Jak giggled at Diablo's comment but didn't say anything. She would let him think whatever he wanted in regaurds to her feelings. Until she could muster up the courage to tell him the real reason why she had fallen for him that is. "A Monastery? That must have been interesting. I don't really have anywhere I'd like to return to...Captain Emilio's wife died not to long after he did...and I don't really like going back to their old manor. To many memories."
Sid tilted his head, "Sweet dreams fair lady. Don't be afraid to come back and see me."

"Well," El Diablo Loco began, "it was a nice place to be. When I wasn't getting into all sorts of trouble, it was fun. . it had its own Vineyard and me and some of the other kids would go there to play." he said. He paused for a moment as he went back to that happy time in his life. He smiled, then brushed some of the hair from his eyes, "Someday, I will take you there." Diablo said, just before kissing her hand.
