User ImageAs Vira waited for him, a large group of people came together to eat and moved around her. She stiffened up, her hands starting to shake as they moved around her. "Get out of here freak!" "Go back where you came from!" "Hahaha, look at her she's talking to air again. Maybe she should go off with those crazy people." "How dare you speak back to me!" All the voices flooded her at once and left her paralyzed, though the group had moved around her already.

She didn't initially hear him speak, her eyes wider than normal, her back and arms hurting from phantom pains. She felt a light pinch from a sprite that remained invisible, snapping back into reality right as he said something about breakfast being the most important. Blinking, she brought up a bright smile, though her hands were still shaking. "Yep! They do say that. Though, sometimes I end up eating it late because of my classes." She agreed with a giggle, turning to walk outside rather quickly. "So you pick a place where you'd like to sit and eat. I don't really hold a preference." She offered, glancing around the grounds, looking for something, anything to get her mind away from what had just happened. Get ahold of yourself Vira. You're fine, you're fine.. you're in good company.

User ImageSeiji could see the chain moving. He focused more on Ranka, hoping to reach her before the blade reached him. He felt he had space before anything serious happened. What was she up to now? She was planning something, but Seiji couldn't be sure as to what. He seemed to dive forward again, one hand touching the ground as he pushed off hoping to close the gap a little quicker. He hadn't expected the chain to suddenly lash out as she had moved. While Seiji had managed to come back to his feet, the chain was now wrapped about his wrist, luckily not the hand holding his Dite.

He had no choice now, better to try than simply stand there and wait to see what happens. As Ranka was still in the air Seiji focused on his Dite for a moment, his Kei concentrating there. "Restoration, zero one." He flicked his wrist, the blade shortening and transforming into the odd shape it had been during their fight with the beasts. As Ranka landed he was already trying to think this through, unsure of what he could do now that he was somewhat trapped or ensnared at least. As the base came near, Seiji let severl strings of Kei loose, almost making a pyramid shape, using the ground as once attachment point and other strings for the second. Quickly stepping up onto a string, he leapt out of harm's way, watching as the base snapped a Kei string and the structure collapsed. He had to find a way out of this situation soon.

User ImageRanka blinked, not initially expecting to hit his wrist, but that worked. Really good reflexes. This is excellent. He had the changed shape of his blade she saw in the air, now standing still for a very brief moment to get a grasp on the situation. Gripping the chain a bit tighter once more, she pulled with a strength that almost didn't seem possible given her tiny frame, darting forward in an attempt to meet him. The chain slid back into the pole as she drew closer, now bringing down the blade of her scythe, pulling down on the chain as she did. This would get tricky, but it would certainly prove interesting.

User ImageHyunn noticed she seemed a little distant, something else on her mind as he approached. It wasn't until he was closer that he saw the look on her face, and her shaking hands. Had something happened? He hadn't seen anything, maybe he'd missed it. She looked alright though. Something had to have happened. Even as she smiled he could tell something was up. She didn't seem the type to space out like that, least not without a reason.

Following after her, he looked around for a moment, her condition still on his mind. Though he kept that fact from showing on his face. Instead, he smiled and carried on with the conversation. "Right. Even getting up early doesn't always give you time to do everything." He glanced to her, still wondering was was wrong. Letting his eyes leave Vira, he searched for a suitable spot, a couple trees free of people for the time being. "How about over there?" He asked, pointing as he balanced his food on the other hand, careful not to drop it."

User ImageVira sighed lightly and shook her head, frowning a bit. "No.... And sometimes classes run so long. Or the teacher gets frustrated with me." Shrugging her shoulders lightly, a disc of air balancing her food as she opened the bottle to take a sip. She knew he had seen her like that, she knew he knew something was wrong. As she spun the cap back on, she grabbed her plate, a suddenly strong gust of wind blowing past. Aiya... Not here, not now. Looking to where he pointed, she nodded with a smile, skipping over before plopping down. She was careful not to flash anyone, stretching her legs out with her plate on her lap, breathing in the air. She was ok. She was fine. That was the past. Leave it alone.

"So what classes do you take? Mine are really just ones for controlling wind and water, though I do take some music classes a well." She asked with a small tilt of her head, her golden eyes not quite seeming as bright as before.

User ImageSeiji braced himself for whatever might come next, but didn't expect such a show of force. Running forward as well, he felt the chain tug down, and shot a string far past Ranka as his centre of gravity lowered. Using the momentum, Seiji pulled himself forward, getting closer to Ranka much sooner than he'd realized. As the balde came down, he threw his weight to the left, narrowly avoiding it. He tumbled for a moment, though as the Kei string snapped from the sudden weight, he managed to come back to his feet more or less next to Ranka.

His current weapon was more of a ranged item more than close combat. So rather than using the Kei strings, He simply took a few steps back, going as far as the chain might let him. He was assuming it wouldn't be very far, but he needed the space, or else would have to rely on melee combat and hope Ranka would have to adjust for that. A scythe wouldn't be as quick as he could be, or at least he hoped not.

User ImageRanka tilted a bit to the one side as the string shot past her, giving herself some slack lest she get tugged down with him when he rolled. She braced herself as he began to move back, grimacing a bit, giving herself some more slack as she brought the blade across to the side in a horizontal slice. She took a couple of steps forward, aiming the pole to hit his shoulder as she aimed a kick to his ankles. She wasn't about to allow him to gain room even at the risk of hand to hand combat. She knew at that point she may have to give up her scythe, but that would be ok. She'd figure it out from there. It wasn't like that was her only weapon on her.

User ImageHe could relate to that. "Yeah, sometimes they just feel like they drag on forever. It can be hard to pay attention though the whole class." Of course, every student probably felt the same way, but that was to be expected. The reluctance of youth. He dug into his pancakes as they sat, swallowing as she spoke again. "Well, a bit of whatever I thought would help. Psychology, knowing how the human mind works, or tends to work in most cases."

He noticed how she seemed to lose a bit of the sparkle in her eye everytime she spaced out. What was wrong? Maybe he could help out a bit, if his hypnotism would work. "Um...some sort of self defense, since it's required of us." He set his food down, turning over to face her. "Just classes that might help one understand people better." He focused on her, though it wasn't quite staring. He still blinked, willing his eyes to work. Hyunn imagined the electric feel run through his eyes, hoping it would not be a dud this time. "Things like that. More improvement for my ability, so long as I felt like I could actually use it."

User Image"I know! And sometimes they get an attitude..." Vira pouted as she thought of her teacher, remembering how she had told her not to use any wind that one day just because she accidentally flipped up her skirt. Not her fault, she was still learning! She ate some of her eggs as she listened to him, blinking as she tried to figure out what his ability might be. "Psychology can be used anywhere. It's a handy thing to have. I'm pretty sure Tristan was going to take some of them." She murmured, taking a sip of her water again.

Ah, self-defense of course. "Do you have Ms. Kobiyashi? Or another teacher?" She asked, since there were three teachers that taught that subject, her friend being one of them. She wasn't familiar with the other two really. She blinked as he turned to face her, nodding once, rather drawn to his eyes again. It was as if she didn't want to look anywhere else. They seemed brighter than usual... or was it just her. She could hear him, but she sort of felt... funky. It was hard to describe. "So your ability has something to do with people?" She asked softly, her hands lowering her plate to her lap slowly. What was this? She couldn't quite think right...

User ImageAlmost as if luring her out, Seiji tried to take a few more steps, though when she swung he had to change to a new plan. This battle was going to come to a close one way or another. He could feel it. His wrist was still trapped, he wasn't going to be able to evade her forever. He'd have to make the right moves here or he'd be at Ranka's mercy. Watching the scythe come forward Seiji aimed the Dite as the ground, firing several Kei strands to the same position. If this didn't work, he really wouldn't be able to go anywhere from here.

Seiji waited until the pole got close enough, leaping into the air once more. Aiming to vault himself over Ranka's scythe, he kept his grip on the Dite firm hoping to catch the pole with his Kei strings and limit her movement with it. He needed to if he hoped to get closer to her. As he turned over in the air, his feet ready to touch down, he glanced to Ranka, watching to see what she would do from this.

User Image"We're still young. It's like they expect us to all be model students," He said nodding as he agreed. Every young person didn't want to be stuck in a classroom listening to some teacher drone on and on. He could admit that some classes were fun, but only if you had an interest in them. While he had tried to pick out classes he would enjoy, sometimes he still found himself dozing off in class. "Well, it's come in handy so far, even I'm still in the basics." It was useful for flirting, especially if he could figure out what type of girl he was flirting with.

"Someone else," he replied simply, trying to focus more on his ability. He blinked a few more times, his eyes now trained on hers. His eyes began to feel more lively, more energetic. He could feel it. He was actually beginning to get the hang of calling on it whenever he wanted. Blinking a few more times, Vira might notice that his eyes now had a black ring forming around the edge of his irises. It was almost like he could feel it activating. Another blink and the hue of his irises seemed to brighten or glow to an impossible colour. "It has everything to do with people." He said as he watched Vira seeming to fall under his control. It was working, good. Normally he'd play at something naughty, but he really only wanted to help Vira relax. She seemed tense and full of...worry.

User ImageRanka could see him form the strands, wondering what he was doing until he suddenly jumped up. Her scythe got caught, grimacing as she tugged, her weapon caught. Alright, she'd have to resort to other ideas. She held the chain firmly, her other hand letting go of the pole as she reached into her boot. Drawing out her kukri dagger, she pulled at the chain and propelled herself at him, giving three fast jabs. One aimed at his chest, another at his arm, and the last at his side.

She shortened the chain so his wrist was the last bit that kept her scythe and the base of it from each other, the blade retracting into it's sheathed position. She gripped her dagger tighter, aiming a swift slice at his legs. This was going to end soon, she could tell.

User ImageVira sighed, boy was that the truth. "It's almost impossible sometimes. Like you can't win." She muttered, pouting a bit. Smiling, to her it would be good to know that ones classes were paying off. Hers were a little bit.... sort of. Not quite as much as she'd like though.

"Aww, Ms. Kobiyashi is so much fun. It can be funny when boys get distracted by her." She giggled a bit, a small mist forming which worried her a bit. No, dammit, she wouldn't lose control. At this point, she didn't look away, beginning to notice changes in his eyes. Wow.... Pretty... "Everything?" She murmured, the mist starting to dissipate around them as she fell further and further into his hypnosis. She could feel the voices snapping at the back of her mind start to clear, the aches in her back lessening.

User ImageGood, he'd caught her scythe, that was a good start. He pulled again and stood next to the pole to limit as much motion as he could. Now all he had to do was-. The thought was cut short as Ranka came rushing at him, armed with a new weapon. A second weapon? He hadn't expected this, though he should have known better. As she neared, Seiji took two steps back easily avoiding the first of the jabs. Letting the Kei strands snap, he released the scythe and took one more step back to avoid the second jab. So good so far.

He turned slightly as the third jab came forward though felt himself pulled forward as the chain shortened yet again. She was making real use of that, he should have been more weary about it. Too late now. Being pulled off balance worked to his advantage though as she swiped at him with her dagger. He lifted both legs hopping up to avoid the slice, feeling good that he'd managed to evade all her attacks for far despite being chained by her scythe. He'd expected to start melee combat from here, but as he extended his legs to land his foot slipped, sending Seiji sprawling onto his back, grunting as he landed. Great, that was going to cost him.

User ImageAdaptability, quick thinking, agile, good reflexes.... He was by far one of the most interesting fights she'd ever had. Her scythe did tip towards since she was holding it mainly by the base, but it didn't put her off balance much. She adjusted her footing, watching as he dodged the slice. She blinked as his foot slipped, spinning with him since they were in such close quarters, her knee coming down on his chest though not hard. She pinned him down, her other leg coming down on the wrist that held his Dite since she already had a hold on his other hand. She held her kukri dagger to his throat, her white hair almost falling like a curtain over his face.

"Do we want to stop it here?" She asked softly, not initially moving since she wasn't sure what else his Dite could do. She waited for his answer, careful that she wasn't crushing him with her weight. Then again, to him she'd probably feel surprisingly light.
