 Konaga Shinji| Konaga Clan | Speed/Offensive Type | Iwagakure | Chuunin ||| Shinobi Profession: Teaching Master || RPC Profile || Not long after his completion of the jutsu, while Shinji was still catching his breath, watching a comical scene across the way as Kai was having nuts thrown at her, Shinji was startled slightly by the sudden appearance of a Genin. Of course, he didn't act startled at the boy's sudden appearance, nor did he know who he was, but he was quick to introduce himself. Shinji only grinned after his introduction as this represented his first official student since being promoted to Chuunin.
He did however find how the boy had not raised his head to meet him as strange and possibly a bit disrespectful, but it didn't bother him really. Rather, Shinji was simply amused with the behavior, wondering what it was about the boy that gave him his attitude. "Assigned to my squad, eh? Well that's fun... you're the first one. If you're gonna stick around however, you might as well get my name right. it's KOnaga, not KAnaga. Not a big deal, but worth pointing out. So then... my first student, let's see what you're made of."
Closing his left eye, a glow began to form in Shinji's right eye as it intensified quickly. Soon, his entire eye was glowing with a pure bright red glow as he seemed to be staring into Gage's very core. From Shinji's point of view, all around his was seen as pure chakra and he could sense the young Genin's elemental affinity and relative chakra strength. "Hmmm... a Katon user eh? I can work with that. Chakra is a bit average, but there is more then chakra to being a ninja. What's your story Gage?"

 Squirrel Overlord"A valiant effort! But not enough!" The lead squirrel chattered once more, as the others began a constant barrage of unrelenting acorn fury, several squirrels carrying nuts from a hidden stash in the tree, to the squirrels lining the branches. As all of this happened the leader scurried across the branch to a different hole in the tree, and reaching in, produced a large meat cleaver, easily as large as it was, and ran back up to where it first appeared, carrying the blade like it weighed nothing. The instant the squirrel stopped, so did the barrage, as all of the acorn throwing squirrels stopped what they were doing to simply observe their leader in action. "Ready yourself!" The brave rodent squealed, raising it's blade high above it's head, before leaping straight off of the branch, and beginning a spin. The squirrel spun faster and faster as it fell directly towards Kai's left shoulder, becoming a whirling thing of death. Upon impact, it would likely rend Kai's arm from her body!

She formed hand signs the minute she saw that squirrel take out the meat cleaver. "Doroku Gaeshi (Earth Release: Rock Shield)" Stomping her hand onto the ground she tore out a piece of the ground as a shield as the emat cleaver made contact with it. "I'll send you to hell you damned squirrel!" The shield was 10 feet by 10 feet with 6 inches in thickness for protection. Kai held the shield with her left hand. Picking up her foot she spartan-kicked the shield while letting go so it sent the squirrel back. Something for protection could always be used for attack.

Genin  "To protect something is to fight for it; to die for it" Gage remained kneeling, looking at the ground the entire time his sensi spoke. Gage had his reasons, but he hoped his sensi wouldn't mind. Gage listened as his sensi corrected him on his pronunciation of Konaga, and he cursed silently. He thought of all the things that could of went wrong, why did it have to be his sensi's name. None-the-less, he still had to deal with it. Once his sensi was finished speaking, Gage stood and meet Shinji's gaze. He had quoted Gage like a book, knowing everything about him, save his past, which to Gage was a good thing, because he harbored some of the past, but not all of it and he wasn't really ready to give a speech on his past to an almost complete stranger, so Gage gave his Sesni the simple answer to his story. "Well Sensi, sir, my story is one of protection, a vow that cannot be broken, one that will not be broken by me, for as long a I live I vow to protect the unprotected." Gage said almost engulfed by his own words. Gage's eyes almost began to water as he stood reminising the past. Gage believe he could protect those in need, but he needed Sensi Shinji's training to become one with his dream. "My goal..." Gage said as to complete his thought. "is to make that dream a reaility!" Gage said lifting his eyes to the sky. If you where to look closly, it was as if you could see the fire that burned within him, Gage wasn't going to fail, he was going to do the oposite, prevail and protect his once great, family name... "I am willing to fight; to die protecting" -l ₪ l -

Squirrel OverlordAs the spinning death blade impacted the rock defense, it shockingly enough tore straight through! It was however enough to deflect the spinning death blade, as the squirrel skidded to a stop several feet behind Kai. "Cowardly! To properly defend, you must attack!" The squirrel spat, giving a swing of it's blade, scraping it along the ground to send a small cloud of dust and pebbles directly into Kai's face. "Try and stop this!" It squealed loudly, charging forward under the cover of the dust, and slashing at Kai's ankles. Without the added power of spinning and gravity, the attack wouldn't have nearly as much power, but it would be enough to seriously hurt her if hit in the right place. { Before you get upset that I smashed your wall, remember this. That jutsu makes a wall in front of you. The squirrel was coming from above you. I could have just had my attack hit perfectly because your defense was useless, but I decided to go along with it, because this is far too much fun to let end that easily. }

[[sorry, i didn't see where it said youw ere above so i thought you were heading straight forward]]
Kai coughed at the dust and pebbles. "Oh you want a attack now do you?" She made hand signs. "Bakuyaku Iwa Kawarimi (Earth Release: Explosive Stone Body Replacement)" She replaced herself with a giant stone that if struck would explode like a explosive note, since the dust covered it the squirrel was defenseless to it. Kai had used underground movement too, she moved towards another tree. Comming up and rubbing dust out of her eyes. She could map this place in her head while underground and know where to 'swim' and come up.

Konaga Shinji| Konaga Clan | Speed/Offensive Type | Iwagakure | Chuunin ||| Shinobi Profession: Teaching Master || RPC Profile || Dismissing his technique, he was glad to see that Gage was not looking at him as he spoke, since he didn't feel like explaining why he cupped his eye, displaying signs of great pain. Daggers seemed to pierce his eye as he felt a great surge of pain rush into it and flow throughout his head and body, creating a cascading effect of agony through his bones. Struggling to open his right eye to the world, his vision through that eye was greatly blurred, but with his left, he could see everything going on in front of him.
As he heard the boy speak, Shinji tied his best to hold back his laughter at the dramatic display before him. He was sure that it was all very heartfelt and sincere, but it seemed over acted to him. either way, he simply grinned at his new student as he waited for him to finish, which he did on a rather dramatic note, looking up to the sky. "Well then, how incredibly... vague. However, a decent goal none-the-less and a noble one as well. Mastery over ninjutsu will certainly yield this, but it will take some time."
"Step one is dropping this formality crap and getting down to business. You want to be a ninja of the Iwagakure, you need to make yourself tougher then the rocks which surround us. Are you ready to rise to that challenge?... not just SPEAK it, but DO it."

Squirrel Overlord"Foolish!" The squirrel spat once more, it's beady eyes picking up instantly on the change. Instead of slashing out the legs as intended, the squirrel ran straight up the front of the stone, it's blade dragging along behind, slicing deeply into it. Reaching the top, the squirrel braced itself as the stone exploded, and actually rode one of the shards, flying directly towards where Kai came up, blade prepared to slash into the back of her neck. Powered by the momentum from the explosion, it would no doubt be fatal. There was a reason this squirrel was the leader of it's kind, and that was because nobody could stand against it, not even humans. { I fail to see how you could have thought that, as it dove out of a tree, aiming for your shoulder. Also, you can't use two jutsu in one post. None of your types or profession benefits allow for that. Once again, I'll let it slide this time, but not again. Oh, and because you apparently forgot, the squirrel is speaking squirrel. You can't understand it. I'm only writing it out for the lulz, and so the readers understand a bit of the squirrel's motivation. }

Kai growled, why was that squirrel squelling so much at her? Making hand signs she knew what to do. "Substitution!" It was a weak defense but she didn't have much time to to think. Throwing a kunai outward toward's Shinji she switched herself with it and was now behind Shinji. Quickly grabbing his waist and pulling him to turn to see a sycho squirrel. She hated animals, except deer and cats.

Squirrel OverlordInstead of impacting Kai as intended, the squirrel's blade sunk deeply into the tree. Gripping the handle tightly with one paw, the squirrel hung from it, it's feet on the tree as it pointed angrily at Kai and Shinji with it's other paw. "Cowardly wench! Hiding behind another rather than fighting your own battles!" Turning it's attention to the male that she had hidden behind, it bared it's teeth slightly, letting out a hiss. "Turn over the female to face her judgment, or join her in death!" The mighty leader of the squirrels squealed loudly, raising his fist to accentuate the threat.

Konaga Shinji| Konaga Clan | Speed/Offensive Type | Iwagakure | Chuunin ||| Shinobi Profession: Teaching Master || RPC Profile || Everything Kai was doing was in the background of Shinji's mind as she casually ignored her as usual and waited for Gage to respond. However, it seemed he could not stay out of it forever as he suddenly felt his waist assaulted as he was suddenly pulled into a 180 turn as Kai cowered behind him... "What the--- Kai! What the hell are you doing?!?!" Looking back at her, he looked confused until he looked up and suddenly saw a cleaver stick into a tree followed quickly by a squirrel, who hung own from the handle. It was easily one of the oddest things he had ever seen in his life, and Shinji had seen some crazy stuff.
Shinji raised an eyebrow to this insanely strange display, furrowing his brow in complete confusion as the squirrel hissed at him and pointed menacingly at them. "Seriously Kai? A squirrel with a meat clever? Holy hell... are you a Chuunin or not? Looking at the squirrel Shinji had no idea what it was doing, but the entire scene confused him enough to simply leave him speechless and motionless. Part of him couldn't believe he was in the situation he was in, with a fellow Chuunin cowering behind him to protect herself from a small rodent. "You never cease to amaze me Kai... perhaps this will finally teach you NOT to reside in trees like an animal." Still the fact that a squirrel was wielding a meat cleaver and apparently threatening them was still pretty amazing... he wondered where the hell it had learned to do this.

Genin "To protect something is to fight for it; to die for it" Gage bit his lip hard as his sensi heaped his words upon him. Gage's fist clenched within his pockets as he whole body tensed. The sensi wanted harder then rock, well he got it when he just downed Gage's words. It took everything Gage had not to defend himself, but he did it. Gage, still tense and with blood running down his lip, followed his sensi's gaze to Kai, who was being chased by a squirrel. This notion made Gage relax some, which was a good thing for himself, seeing that he was already pissed off at his sensi. Gage just watched in silence and waited for his sensi to return to their training. "I am willing to fight; to die protecting" -l ₪ l -

Konaga Shinji| Konaga Clan | Speed/Offensive Type | Iwagakure | Chuunin ||| Shinobi Profession: Teaching Master || RPC Profile || Seeing as the squirrel was currently just holding his fist up in anger at Shinji for no reason, yet doing nothing else, Shinji shrugged at the situation and turned away from the psychotic rodent. "Whatever. Kai, play nice with the furry little psycho... I've got work to do. Next time, try considering that you're a ninja before running and hiding from a furry menace 1/30th your size." turning back to Gage, Shinji was surprised to see that he looked somewhat agitated and noted that a bit of blood was now running down his lip. surprised at this, Shinji wondered what could have been the culprit.
"Don't tell me you somehow got injured without doing anything... what's with the blood? I would have expected some kind of response from you to my last statement. Are you just gonna stand around and wait for me to start training you?... or are you going to take some kind of initiative and tell me what you want to learn?"

"That squirrel is not normal Shinji! It's fricken crazy as hell and took over my tree!" She said. Slouching her head. "How was I suppose to know I had to deal with a sycho squirrel as a chuunin? Whats next, being chased by Llama's as a Jounin!?!" Pushing him forward to see how he delt with the squirrel. "Fine I'll reside in the grass from now on! Maybe I'll be attacked by earthworms or a Gopher hm?" Naming things and being negative.
