Alexis quickly slipped the feather into her pocket before Magnet had started dancing with her. Her face starting turning red.
She was happy she had been taught to dance or else she thought she might have died right there. Swallowing, she just danced with Magnet.

Alexis's face was still red, even at the mention of Kara. She hadn't seen the girl all week, thank goodness. Yet, the idea was still lingering in the back of her mind.
"Magnet," she said carefully. "Please. If Kara attacks me or Aaron, do not jump into action. She came to fight me and Aaron, not anybody else. If I need your help, you'll know it."
After that, she admitted to herself that she liked dancing with Magnet. He danced smoothly and had a firm, yet gentle, hold on her.

the gym was covered in streamers, baloons, and other homecoming paraphanelia.music boomed and laughter and conversations combined into white noise
