Shadow jumped up the cliffs and past the upside down obstacles with ease and a fair amount of grace, however he obviously didn't show as much expertise with this as he did with the running portion of the race. He flipped around and vaulted like crazy, and in no time he was at the last portion of the race, which was the water run. He landed in the running position and grinned, luckily this was the part that used the most running speed, so he took off, and a moment later there was a giant explosion of water from where he was. Once again he smiled and gently closed his eyes feeling the warm sun beat down on his face, feeling the cool wind rush past him. He opened his eyes again to see the finish line in sight which made him smile, a few beads of sweat were finding their way down his forehead. Yet he loved it, he loved this feeling, acrobatics, speed, everything about it was just lovely and amazing. He burst across the finish line and there was the usual cheering and people clapping for him and all the other racers. He grinned happily and waved at them all before continuing onto other things. This speed, it was amazing.

Shuiro decided she was only up for one race, seeing as there were plently of people this time around. After the first triathalon more poeple ended up signing so most of them weren't needed for all three races. As fun as they were, however, Shuiro was glad she was only doing one. Shadow didn't know it, but he had someone on his tail... and she was going to beat him in the chakra race. What was a little fun without a bit of competition, right?

Skillfully, she lept from the olldy placed walls, ceilings and random other objects along the water's surface, managing to not only catch up to, but pass by, her friend while keeping a silent smile to herself. Things were quite quick and easy... and better yet, he hadn't even noticed she was there. It would be a big surprise for him once he was told that someone else had won the race this time. And she would wait for just that... because she was sure he'd ask for a rematch... and she would give it to him... gladly.

On your mark. Get set. Go!
And the whistle was heard. The next thing the girl knew was the sudden rush of wind through her hair and against her face, it almost rivaled the rush of adrenalyne in her system. She loved to run. The strain in her muscles were worth the effort she put into her stride and speed. This wasn't just a race for her... it was fun, a way of life, and an escape from the real world. Sure, the cramps weren't pleasent. The speed, however, was. Besides, the whirl of colored as you passed by was always a needed experience.
Sadly it was over so soon, hwoever.

[Random Weekly Events] [Ok, I don't feel like doing event 2 so we're doing event 3. On a lighter note, since we haven't had an event int he past 2 weeks, this one will be worth triple the points for completion.] 3) Scorpion Round Up Well, whether you love them or hate them, the giant scorpions of Iwagakure are kinda the village symbol so what ya gonna do? Unfortunately, they have been a bit rowdy latly and are causing problems for trade routes and people coming to the village to make propositions. Smack a few of them around a bit to hush them up would you? Rules: The player will be required to battle a minimum of 3 giant scorpions that are roughly around their rank. Victory is achieved when all 3 scorpions are defeated The player may choose the combination of scorpions from the list provided for their rank. Gennin Scorpions: Gennin may choose up to 4 of these scorpions Chunnin Scorpions: Chunnin may choose up to 5 of these scorpions Jounin Scorpions: Jounin may choose up to 6 of these scorpions ANBU Scorpions: ANBU may choose up to 6 of these scorpions Kage Scorpions: Kage may choose as many of these scorpions as they want.[[I'll do these if these ideas get passed]] Other: *There are more ways than one to defeat or otherwise drive off a giant scorpion. For those that come up with especially inventive ways of doing this, their rewards will be increased by 1.5x *You may fight multiple scorpions at once and will get 1.2x the rewards for doing this but you only HAVE to fight 1 at a time. Restrictions: None Special: *Players can NOT be killed during this event. In the event that the players HP hits 0 or below, they are automatically taken to the hospital and can not move the character from that spot for 24 real life hours from the last post they made in the event thread. Upon the ending of that 24 hours, their character will have only 1 hp and must recover the rest through whatever means the player wishes. *If there is still time left in the event, you may restart it from the last amount of scorpions you had but they will have full HP when you restart. Scorpion profiles here.

Sakeme heard it was the season to be hunting down scorpions. Various kinds of the buggers had been preying on the villagers and the trading caravans that would import and export goods from Iwa. With nothing better to do, Sakeme signed herself up thinking it would be good exercise and all of that fun stuff. The bonus was working on her speed, seeing as that was something she would be working on more and more for a while.
As she skirted her way across the badlands, she was, however, lucky enough to run into what she would normally guess to be one of the slower of the scorpion species. Yes, they were huge... but she wouldn't count them out, that's for sure. Luckily, there was only one, though she was sure to find mor eout there later... Not wanting to waste any thime where she was, she jumped at the beast and attacked it. Yeah, normally taijutsu wouldn't be the smartest for her, but... she had a dfeeling she'd do fine. If all else failed, she had her genjutsu.

It was that time of year again. The time that caused some rise out of the wildlife around the village. And due to being surrounded by desert and mountains, that meant scorpions. Scorpions both large and small. More large then small. Damn it, Raisuke was going to have to do something about it. They were getting close to the village. Raisuke was tight against a rock. He didn't want them to notice him quite yet. Because he might get ambushed by a large group of them. And that wouldn't do, he didn't want to get killed here afterall..

There was a large group of four of them together, but by their transparency it was fairly clear that they were still young. These were the same strength as the ones he had killed months ago. But back then he was much weaker then he was now. So this wouldn't take much. He honestly didn't even need to try and use his ninjato. Taijutsu would be more than sufficient. Especially since he had the element of surprise on his side. But then again.. without his weapon of choice it just wasn't as much fun. He would leap to the top of the rock. Almost immediately jumping off. His feet landing on the back of the first ones tail. Running it down with his ninjato. Jamming the scorpions own tail in its back. A cracking and gushing sound fairly loud. Raisuke flipped off right after the landing, bringing his ninjato down on the next one like a guilitene to split the second ones head in half. As he did so his blade got stuck. He was wide open for attack.
Another of those scorpions moved in for attack. Raisuke tried desperately to get his sword out fast enough to not take any hits himself but he couldn't quite get it out in time. He got his side just barely caught by the time of its claws. Scratching him on the surface as it ripped through his s**t. This made Raisuke spin around as he saw the other ones stinger flying almost directly at his face. Raisuke had to hold his sword up at last minute, the stinger hitting the flat blade as Rai braced it on the other side from flying out of his hands. He slid backwards a few feet across the dirt. He had a small grin on his face. The cut he got on his side was only fueling him to keep going. It was fun, because he was fighting yet in no danger. He felt like he finally knew how Giglamesh sensei got a thrill out of messing with him in training.
1d20(17)+atk(19)=36>21 hit 1d20(19)+atk(14)=33>15 hit
Scorpions attacks: 1d20(19)+attack(8 )=27>23 hit 1d20(3)+attack(2)=5 miss
[[The order was Raisuke attacked a number 3 and 1. Then got attacked by a 1 and 2.]]

As Raisuke was still slightly sliding back he planted his feet. Then started to slowly start pushing back toward it. As he leaped to the side he let the tension of his sword ease up. He shifted his weight so the scorpions tail kept going past him. He pushed his sword into the tail. Slicing through it as it went past him. Then he would shift his attention to the other. Running at it faster then it could react he tried to shove his ninjato into its head. Trying to put this part of his day behind him. And it was a complete success. Their was no movement left. And he didn't need to mess with them anymore. Other people could handle the rest, Rai wanted to go home. It was lazy time, the way he liked it.
