Eccentric Iconoclast LunaW0lf You know you are obsessed with foreign languages when.....
Your parents never know what language your music is. You've spent over 100 dollars on dictionaries, self teach, and language text-books, sometimes for fun. You have one or more video games in Japanese and German :3 You write notes to foreign exchange students, in their language. You've spazzed out and started accusing things and people in a different language. Your teacher kicks you out of class for saying phrases that he doesn't know what they mean. You give tourists in Disney World help to find a ride or place to eat, in their language. You give anyone who speaks a different language directions. You've been called to the school office to help someone throughout the day because you're capable of understanding them. People have told you to "move away to [insert country]" because they cannot understand you. You see a person who looks foreign, and must absolutely go up to them and ask what language they speak and start conversing with them in that language :3
...are you related to me? eek Hey~! I was going to ask that stare

Eccentric Iconoclast The MoUsY spell-checker Or how about... you translate for Wikipedia. (I did that when I was in between schools, but now I don't have time for it.) xD It is my goal to translate a bunch of articles into Pig Latin just to make people go "WTF?" Oh, the reactions I'd get. rofl Please let me know when you do. heart You know you're obsessed when: ... You watch your DVDs in languages other than your native, without sub-titles, either to help you learn, or just for the fun of it.

Felucca When you tell everybody how extremely good you are at German, until they believe you and send you to Germany so that you can practise it in real situations.
Then you spend the two weeks you have before the trip will take place, listening to German music, reading German books and checking the grammar books with growing angst - as in reality you just spent five years skipping the German class in school. But why would you skip German class if you're obsessed with learning languages? Did you learn everything for yourself way ahead of time so there's no point in going? Eccentric Iconoclast The MoUsY spell-checker Or how about... you translate for Wikipedia. (I did that when I was in between schools, but now I don't have time for it.) xD It is my goal to translate a bunch of articles into Pig Latin just to make people go "WTF?" Oh, the reactions I'd get. rofl Why don't you start a Pig Latin Wikipedia? rofl I write for the Chinese Wikipedia, and I get the information from the English one. I don't write other languages into the English Wikipedia.

Someone speaks to you in your native language, and you don't even notice you reply with a foreign language.

Now I like both Italy and France. When they play t3h final I'll be cheering for France in Spanish (maybe some random "allez la France,! La coupe du monde va ĂȘtre française~!" or something like that) wearing an Italy tee-shirt and watching it with the commentary in English. Woo. XD
