*Synge didn't move as all of this was being applied to her, and no changes were made with her vitals. Her "dream" continued as she tried to force herself awake with no luck. Then she heard it, the loud voice that no longer asked her to wake up, but forced her to. Then the charge came. It was strong and sent the world she was in to shreds. It shattered like broken glass and threw her off in a spiral. Her body reacted, it jolted like before but this time her eye (just the one) shot open and her breathing quickened as if she had just woken up from a nightmare. She was awake now, fully and completely. The first thing she saw was Ben, near her. Then she noticed the strange medical devices stuck to her, and the orange and thick medicine that covered her body. That was when she saw that she was wearing almost nothing. She tried to speak out in protest but found that she was too weak to get anything out. Then her eye fought back and forced her to cringe in pain. She looked at Ben with the one eye she could, confused and scared.*

When you jolt back to life, the shock is slightly too intense for Ben, he lets out a gasp and almost drops the device. Finally, this wakes him up and he shakes his head.
Oh Synge! Thank God you're alive. Don't worry, you are here with me....I know you may be upset with me but if I hadn't done this you might not have woken up. Just stay calm....
He quickly grabbed some pain relief medicine in a syringe and approached you.
You have to trust me right now...take this medicine and we will get you fixed up. I can explain everything in a moment.

*Synge really didn't know what to think at this point, but considering how much pain she was in she decided to just trust whatever Ben was up to. She nodded weakly, to let him know that she was fine with whatever he could do to make her feel better. Right now she was in a lot of pain, surging from her eye and pulsing through her body. It was then that she realized the worst thing of all, that her eye patch had been removed. She hadn't wanted anyone to see that, especially not Ben. She couldn't do anything about it though, so she didn't fit it. However, as she started to think about all that was happening, and all that had happened her in confused and long dream, she started to cry again, silently, hoping Ben wouldn't take notice and just get this done with quickly so she could go hide somewhere.*

Ben nodded sadly, he knew that this was not something you were comfortable with and he hadn't wanted to do this but he had no choice. He gently held your hand with his free hand as he opened your mouth and sent the medicine down your throat. It was bitter and slightly burning for a moment but it quickly cooled. He then poured some water behind it to help chase it down. Within a few moments, Synge should feel the pain starting to go down.
Don't be sad Synge...you needed help and I promised I would help you...don't be ashamed...be thankful you are alive...I know I am.
He let the medicine pass through your body while he made a quick work at cleaning you up. He dabbed some water around the first pulse, the one on your neck, it was warm then cold a moment as she felt the pressure release. He then cleaned the excess off your shoulder. He then repeated this process for the other pulse on your neck and cleaned it up.
Don't fight me...I know this is uncomfortable but you have to trust me.
He then repeated the removal process for the pulses around your heart and breast and cleaned the excess medication off your sternum and surrounding area, pulling your bra back to normal position.
At this he paused and cleaned the rag, re-wetting it for another round.

*Synge watched as you took her hand and helped her with the medicine. She scrunched up her nose in her usual way when she disliked the taste or sound of something, the medicine tasted pretty bad. She was glad though, because the pain started to go down slowly and this gave her the chance to think straight and start gaining some strength back. She stayed silent as Ben cleaned her up, but her body reacted in a way she hadn't expected it to. She blushed through most of the procedures, and avoiding his eyes for fear he might notice. As he started to prepare for the next round she thought she might be able to talk, so she gave it a try. Her voice was quiet and weak sounding, very different than her usual voice.*
I...you...saved me...from the dream...don't look at it, it is ugly.

Ben noticed that you were blushing but his mind was in professional mode, not awkward boy mode. He made sure to focus on the task at hand. He returned with the wet rag and looked directly at your face, both eyes and his face was warm and attentive.
Don't be silly, if I didn't look at it you wouldn't be here...the fact that it is no longer bleeding like it was makes it more beautiful than you can imagine. Hang on...this will be uncomfortable...
He then applied the same procedure around the base of your spine which caused a chill to run up your spine when he removed the pulses. He then moved down to the ones on your legs with the same method as before. He dried off the excess and now the strange connections were gone but you were still rather unclothed. Ben seemed to know how you might feel and responded before you could.
We will get you back into your clothes in just a moment, this stuff has to dry for a minute or your clothes might stick to you. Just remember...I am viewing you as a patient so don't be embarrassed.
Ben left out a heavy sigh and took a few breathes to calm himself down.

*Synge tried to stay as still as possible, so as not to make this any harder for either one of them. She was feeling increasingly awkward, especially because she had no idea what to do around boys in such situations. She was just glad to be feeling better physically. Calling her wound beautiful was very strange to her, but she didn't have the strength to question him right now. She noticed how professional he was being, which made her feel even sillier for blushing. Her body was starting to feel a bit cold as well. When she saw your heavy sigh she wondered what the cause of it was. Had her situation been that critical? Or was being here with her that stressful? She sighed herself now.*

When you apologize to him, Ben looks over at you and lets out a half-crazy sounding laugh.
Sorry? For What? Oh...you don't know what happened...let's just say that I think you almost died....something with that eye wound of yours really did you in...thank goodness...I was...studying it...I am sorry...I looked at it once before but not by taking your patch off, just moving it...I was afraid I ..might...need to...work on it. Luckily...I researched...eye techniques...before that happened.
Ben helped himself to a chair and sat down heavily, he looked much paler than usual and his words were coming out breathy and forced. He looked very tired.

*Synge looks at you strangely as you start to tell her about her eye and what happened. It was pretty hard to understand and she was just getting more confused. When he mentioned that he had looked at her eye before she instantly become irritated. She really doesn't understand what is going on, but she really doesn't understand why he would have looked at her eye, or when. However, she doesn't get a chance to argue her point because she notices how worn out he seems. Suddenly she feels more concerned then irritated. She'll get back to being angry later.*
Um...alright. Didn't understand...most of that...Um, are you okay then? I'm fine now...you can calm down.
*She strained herself a bit in doing it, but she managed to sit up on the table and turn a bit towards you. She seems to have forgotten her modesty in place of her concern for you.*

Ben's eyes widen when you sit up and he comes to you quickly, almost running into you as you sit up.
Woah Woah...easy...you might...reopen the wound if you aren't...careful...hang on...
He supports himself as he goes over to your clothes pile and grabs your skirt and blouse, he slides back to you and hands them to you. You can clearly see his hands are shaking as he does it.
It's...okay. I am just tired...my body doesn't...work... like most bodies...I can't...speak well enough to...explain right now...but I am just having...a weak spell...I just need to sit.
As he sat down, he felt his own pain flare up again and he winced but he carried himself so that it looked more like he was adjusting to a spot in the chair.
Synge might also notice that she appears to be in an area that looks rather odd. It has the decor of the tavern's rooms along the walls but the area she is in looks more like a doctor's office. There are cabinets with clear doors bearing untold medicines and books piled everywhere around the non work areas with various bookmarks jagged and sticking out of all sections of the books. She would see her bloody eye patch on a table nearby, almost soaked through and some blood along the sides of the sheet she was on.

*Synge watches you closely as you hand her the clothes. She almost wants to reach out and grab his hand to test the shaking. She slowly put on her clothes again even though she wasn't concerned with this at the moment. She didn't care about her own problem, she didn't want to see Ben hurting because he had been taking care of her. She wanted to get off this stupid table and go over to him, but she was afraid he would get worked up again over worrying about her. She turned around to see where she was, and noticed her bloody eye patch. Her eye widened with fear, realizing that she must have been bleeding pretty bad to make it look that way. She tried to be calm and looked back to Ben to check on him. Her voice was back to normal, but was a lot softer than usual.*
Umm, guess I was pretty bad off then, heh. I'm fine now though, thanks. Er, do you need something? You don't look any better than I do now.

Ben nodded and took in a ragged and smiles. It was amazing to see someone in such a traumatic situation but more concerned with someone else.
Yeah, I came in to eat this morning...you were sleeping...and looked peaceful... I tried to wake you...but you wouldn't wake up and then...I saw the blood...on your patch and...knew I had to think fast...so...I brought you here... and operated...I cleaned the wound, cauterized it...and then...your heartbeat...it was so odd...like it was about to go crazy on you...I ...did what I could...hold on...
At this, Ben got to his feet and went to a cabinet at a very slow pace. He found a bottle of something and took one dose using the syringe near it. He stood still for a minute as the medicine kicked in and then he took a seat.
There...now I have...taken something to make me stronger a little longer...How are you feeling?

*Synge listened curiously to the story about how she hand ended up in this state, even if it was scattered and a bit hard to follow. She shuddered a bit as she thought of herself bleeding so badly, and felt a little afraid. She was a little surprised to see Ben get up suddenly and use a syringe on himself, and it didn't do anything to convince her he was alright. She was irritated at herself now, for being injured first and therefore not being able to help him right now. She clenched her first and looked at the ground for a moment, and then back at you calmly.*
I feel fine, really. The pain is gone and I don't feel hot or anything. I'm cold if anything at all...Actually, I'm worried. About you.

After a moment, Ben held still and breathed in a few breaths as he felt his strength come back. He soon stood up and approached you, his voice sounding almost normal now.
If you're cold...you can put your coat and shoes back on. When I first started working on you, I took those off to regulate your body temperature. It worked last time...luckily your body stayed cool enough when I was working on you. But when the first jolt didn't work, I had to get you down to your skivvies so I wouldn't get this junk on your clothes and so it wouldn't burn you...I hope you understand.

No, don't worry about it. I understand...Are you ok to stand like that?
*She moved her body so that her legs were dangling off the end of the table near when you were now standing. She examined you with concern.*
