'The Staff, of course,' Link thought then dug into his bag. Now but a child, the staff towered above his head, but still, Link could feel it's power. Concentrating hard, beams of light emerged from the jewel at it's head, but no path was revealed, "Nothing's happening."

"Hm... What if..." Gustave said, and flew up to the gem, and tapped on it...

The tap obviously had some effect, for a moment later, a line of light emerged from the base and into the woods.

Apparently, though, something didn't like the light, for the rest of the forest grew darker, more menacing. Light ceased to come in from the holes in the canopy far above, and besides the staff, there was little to no light whatsoever.
Something began creaking, not like wood, but the sort of sound an old man makes when he moves. Moria froze, about to turn and leave. She drew the sword. "This isn't good," she murmured, as a pile of bones concealed behind a rock began to form into something quite like an armored skeleton. When it had finished, it stood a good eight feet tall, its large shield and heavy sword, both menacingly gleaming. With an evil chuckle, it began to advance on them...

Zelda gasped and took and involuntary step backward. "There are drawings of those in my books," she said, softly, her eyes wide. Then she seemed to pull herself together. "Alright. Um... You don't have any bombs, do you, Link? Because we're going to need a bomb."

"Why would I have any bombs?" Link asked, staring at the skeleton. It was far to large to fight at his current size, he needed to be bigger again, "It might be a good idea for you to undo the spell now though."

"Oh boy..." Gustave said, and quickly flew infront of it... "Ah! If only I wasn't so... tiny! Link! I'll try to distract it..."

THe skeleton seemed to head straight for the blond haired boy and fear filled his eyes. Both his shield and sword were to large for him to handle at his current size, leaving him with no way to defend. The monster lifted it's large red sword and Link did the only thing he could think of...he ducked. The sword clange against the shield on his back and the stalfo withdrew for a moment.

Elesariin Zelda nodded, then turned back to the other boy. "I'm sorry I didn't come back sooner, and I wish I had time to talk, but... You remember what happened last time, right?" She didn't wait for him to reply. "Well it's getting ready to start again, and if we hurry Link and I can stop it before it starts." She was inwardly a little shocked at the inflections in her voice; they weren't hers. Definitely another layer, then. Sophia winced and automatically brought a hand up to cover the cut, but when her eyes came up, they were not frightened. They were furious. "You won't kill me. You need me for something, so don't insult my intelligence by pretending otherwise. I'm not telling you anything because I think it would be very satisfying to watch you burn. Deal with it." Nalani was more than a little bit unnerved, and as usual, this made her angry. She was silent for several seconds, if only to get her fury under control; this woman was apparently expecting her, and in league with her commander, and in spite of the fact that a heads-up would have been nice, she couldn't risk offending an ally just because she was spooked.
Finally she spoke. "I do wish, actually, but that's not the issue. My secondary duty is to make sure that he remains unharmed. What are you planning on doing with him?"
Arryl grew quite - dangerously so. She cocked her head. "I'm not going to kill you? Are you really willing to take that chance?" she asked slyly, her rapier wandering seemingly aimlessly to rest against Sofia's heart. "Do you really want to test your luck?""Oh, I'll just be keeping him quite out of the way here," she said with a chuckle. "Don't worry about his safety, I don't intend on hurting him. No, not at all. He's too valuable, if I understand right."Moria had almost begun a quick flight, when she realized that she was the only one actually strong enough to do anything. She couldn't bring herself to fight the thing, though; her fear was overcoming her. An inner battle insued, in which her concious won. She'd fight. "Back off, I'll hold him off while you figure out your strategy!" she cried, drawing the sword and slamming her shield into its. The stalfo didn't expect it; it stumbled back a few steps, but quickly regained its footing, advancing again.

((I assume Taka-kun informed you of my... ahhhh... writers block issues. Well, I'm back, and I'm sorry for the absence. Thank you to whoever was controlling my characters. I know Ele had Sofia...))
Sofia grinned defiantly and raised a hand to rest on top of Arryl's, over top of the rapier.
"Like I said, you need me for something. You won't kill me. At least, not without a fight..." she hissed, hardly audible. Her anger towards this woman was coming out in familiar levels. Next would come the flip...
Kohana woke up with a groan and a wince. From what she could see, she was in a closed room. Trying to get up, she vaguely remembered a woman knocking her out. The pain was still there, and as she tried to sit up, it overcame her. Almost sighing, she fell backwards again and hardly felt her head khit the floor.

Zelda realized she was still staring at Link like he was a mutant, and turned pink. It clashed violently with, well, everything. "Sorry," she murmured contritely, and allowed the spell around Link to dissipate. Link immediately appeared as he really was.
"And it is important, I'm afraid. If you kill it and don't completely destroy the remains, it will just come back and you'll have to fight it all over again." She realized with no small amount of annoyance that her concern was showing on her face. That wasn't supposed to happen! It was as though the emotions and personality of the person she was appearing as was... influencing her somehow. She wiped the expression away; at least, she tried to.
"He is very valuable, which is why that's not good enough," Nalani replied flatly. "I want to know exactly what you are planning to do with him, and then I'll decide if it will harm him or not." She could feel her ever present temper raising it's fiery head even further and tried to stamp it out, but it was getting increasingly difficult. No one, spirit or no, talked to her like a child.
She glanced back at the Sage to see how he was taking this, then remembered that she didn't care, and brought challenging, angry eyes back to meet the spirit's. "So? What exactly are you planning? He's very good at combat; at the very least I need to know where you'll be holding him, to make sure he won't escape."

Link smirked as he stood up at his full height, noticing that the girl was indeed about as tall as he. As Link pulled out his sword, he called back to the girls, well don't you know any spells that can destroy them or burn them, or something to that effect?"

"I guess so," said Zelda carefully, having to work ridiculously hard just to keep her face and voice serene. She bit her lip, then grinned. It was bright and impish, not one of her own expressions; luckily no one was looking at her, and she herself didn't notice. "Oh! I know just the one!" She nodded, then realized he couldn't see her. "I'll take care of it."

Just what he was hoping for, but first, Link would need to take the skeleton down. It still seemed to be distracted by the Kokori so it's shield probably wouldn't be a problem. The teenager took off into a run and charged at the stalfo, slicing with the master Sword at the last moment.

As the creature collapsed into a pile of bones again, Zelda cupped her small hands, light filling the palms. After a moment, she made a throwing motion. The ball of light zoomed toward the bones, and hit them with an explosive 'bang!' Zelda blinked the accompanying purple spots from her eyes, then grinned up at Link. He was so tall! "Good job!" Her eyes moved to the Kakori girl. "Both of you," she added sincerely.
