Hell, the Sullas kill their own even now! You all must have heard how Tien was controlling Tara into doing what he wanted, manipulating her with love and protection. That was his own sister! What makes you think this man isn't doing the same to you with love?"

Troden listened and smirked, watching Isabelle quietly before smirking, "That wasn't love. That was greed. I gave Isabelle the one thing in the Sulla clan that means anything to me other than blood. Now why would I give her something like that if I merely wanted to control her? I nearly killed myself trying to bring her back to life. Was that from greed?"

Bell eyes grew very wide as she turned and looked at Troden. She didn't say anything, it was too hard to really grab ahold of. She knew Rikku was in love with him, but Lina...

Troden stiffened at the name. He had been trying to forget that part of his life for so long now and one word broght it all back with a vengance. Lovers...
He looked away from Seth before standing up fully, the darkness in his eyes fading away, "That was a mistake that never should have happened. I nearly died from that woman countess times after that and even after she has found another the b***h still wants me dead!"
[I just had to bring out some of Troden's bad sides in this post...like cursing fir one^^]

The tension was getting so thick in this one room that Seth could almost see it now. But that didn't stop him in the least.
"Oh you should be thanking her Troden. Isn't she the one who helped you start the Rajen clan in the first place?" he asked, his voice cold and unrelenting, "After the Ten left, you got her to even kill her own mother for you! Her mother, the one that gave her life all because she loved you and what made it worse was that you gave her a drug to do it! Remember that! You didn't even tell her what the potion was, but she blindly took it. Don't tell me you forgot. I thought a Sulla always remember his or her accomplishments.."
He spat on the floor before saying, "And you hid all of the evil you had under the cover of 'love'."

Troden growled before his gaze returned to Seth, "That was not love. That was lust. Nothing more and nothing less. Yes, the results of that small time she and I had together was enough to bring the Rajens to life, but that was a bonus not even I forsaw until it happened!"
He sighed before continuing, "I was younger then, and the hatred for the others around was so strong that blood was all that satified that hatred. I am still fighting that part of me, but it is fading, slowly but surely it is leaving. All that there is left is the Sulla Way...and then it will be gone."

Bell's eyes went to panic and then she closed them and looked away, "I... it... no" She looked back up at Seth, her eyes hard now, "I don't believe you.... he.. wouldn't... do that... to me..." As she said the words things started to click in and begin to make sense. In the back of her mind she saw the picture of them on teh lake and then in the ring of fire. It seemed so, real. Why would he do all that if he didn't love her. But all that Seth said made sense, she depended on him as if he were a brother, and if he let go her whole life ruined. She would go back to the killing machine she once was. No life, no thought, only to follow commands. That's exsactly what he wanted. Or... was it? Bell was so confused.
(atomic bomb in 3... 2...)

Troden never glanced at Isabelle, but stayed trained on Seth as he said, "Don't believe in that crap he's telling you Isabelle! He wants you to leave me just as he did! His heart has changed from that light hearted being I once called brother into what you see before you. Yes I used others in the past, but that is exactly what it is. The past and only that!
I never gave the others nothing except stabbing them in the back.. quite literally in Rikku's case. I never loved them, I didn't know what that was until you left Lotan..left the very curse put upon you to be with me..and not because you were made, but because you loved me. Why would I sacrifice my very soul to set you free of the spirit realm if I didn't? The darkness in my eyes is the void where that part of me was taken and it is in you Isabelle. It is in you!"
