The most horrible thing happened...
It feels like I shouldn't really vent about this topic in this guild, but I don't have anywhere else I can vent without people related to it reading it, so I'm going to white it out so people who want to can read it.
I told you that I was going to be a godmother... but not anymore...
My best friend's pregnant girlfriend had an argument with him about living arrangements. She wanted him to get her an aparment in her home town, but my friend had already signed a 6 month lease on his apartment with his room mate and couldn't break it. Durring this time of arguing she made it very clear that if he did not agree to get the apartment, she would break up with him and refuse to ever let him see his baby. It was decided in the end that she would move back home with her parents (who hated him and refused to let him stay there), and he would get the apartment and they would move in together when the baby was born.
When she got to her home towm, she went to the doctors to get a sonogram done. She discovered that she had miscarried 7 weeks ago, after being pregnant for 7 weeks before that. She was apparently estatic about the news and called my best friend up to tell him, and then dumped him seconds later.
My poor friend is so crushed. He had bee looking so forward to being a father and having a family, and had been preparing to propose to her this Christmas. Now both of the things most precious to him have been lost in practically the same moment...
Even worse, my friend is suspicious that she's lying to him. But, with her living in another city, there's no legal way for him to find out. She hates him now. If he tries to visit her, she'll call the police on him and accuse him of stalking her. He can't find out of she really miscarried without going to court, because everyone would lie to him. He can't afford to go to court. And if she really is lying, she might stick him with child support payments when the child is born.
I don't know how to help him. He's a truely nice guy and doesn't deserve this. It was a mistake on his part for, well, letting this girl move in with him and letting this accident occur after knowing her for only a short time, but he really was devoted to his formally-future family.
I feel so bad for him... I had yelled at him when I first found out he had gotten her pregnant... and now that I had accepted it and was even looking forward to being a godmother, this happens. It's not so much the loss of the baby, because such is the way of nature, but because of the cruel way his ex-girlfriend is acting towards him at probally the most painful moment in his life.

Oh no, Miri. I'm so sorry. That really sucks. Why would she even do something like that, especially if she's lying. She's just being stupid is all. I understand your need to vent. If you want someone to talk to, I'm always there for you *hugs* heart

Meri, uh, you should probably be informed that one of your samples has the anti-theft scanlines behind it instead of in front, and is therefore not properly protected... it's the belted satin dress, in the Formalwear post.
Yeah, just thought you ought to know.
