Kai nodded. "Anyone associated with them seems to be quite fearsome, from the little I've figured out." Tanner overheard the conversation. He knew quite a bit about the Harlequins. Enough to know that when a while back when they were around and in full force, everyone stayed out of their buisness. They definitely were fearsome.

Andrea grinned a bit at Ryken's response, moving one of her arms to lightly lay across her face, trying to keep the sun out of it. At least he doesn't seem to be like Pix.. she thought before yawning and stretching, feeling and hearing a few pops coming from her spine. Andrea gave a satisfied sigh before settling back down again, her free hand fiddling with a few blades of grass. Her mind wandered, making her wonder if James, her brother, was alright, if he was worried about her and the others. "Hmm..." she sat up, her hair sticking up a bit from her laying down. Andrea's glowing green eyes slowly scanned the resting people, watching them as they sat or talked, the way they moved, the way they reacted to each other..then she shut her eyes again and abrubtly laid back down, wanting to sleep but knowing very well that she would get her a** kicked for it. Damn Pix. Andrea thought before sighing impatiently.

((Ok, I got something.))
"My lord Tanner, I do hope you do not plan on going to that temple without revealing to us what exactly we will find and, heavens forbid, as an armed military force." He shook a mischievous finger at him, he was already getting in the mood, " No, this is a time for intelligence and subterfuge!" At that he dropped his pack and made a dramatic cartwheel to his mule, whom he had affectionately named 'Emergency Food' and proceeded to take out the costumes he had stored in the attached cart.
As the others merely watched him, he decked himself in a motley array of red and blacks, bells on all the corners, and as a finishing touch began to paint a white skull edged in black on his face with the assistance of a small looking glass. "What say yee?" The glee in his voice apparent.

(o.o wow..)
Andrea heard Pix start to ramble again and sighed, opening her eyes as she sat up half-way only to be greeted by the sight of Pix in ridiculous clothes and covered in bells. Her jaw dropped, and she was left sitting there, simply staring at him for several moments. A part of her wanted to laugh her a** off, another part of her wanted to puke, another part of her wanted to clobber Pix right then and there and yet another part of her wanted to say '******** it' and go to sleep anyway.

Gregor was laying in a tree close to the group and he listened as they talked. He heard them say something about the harlequins and so he decided to join in. He dropped from the branch landing on his feet. "Eh, the Harlequins were a great merc band, but I still say they were a bit exagerated. A good half of them were drunks including him." He said gesturing towards Pix. Then he heard Pix's question and looked over at him and said, "You look like an over-dressed corpse. You should probably lose a few bells too." He removed his brown coat and dropped it to the ground where it made a small clank, he had metal bars woven into it to give himself some extra weight for training, and sat down leaning his back against the tree he had dropped from. After a little bit he grabbed his coat and climbed back up the tree. This time when he dropped down he had a small ocarina in his hand and sat back down. He played a calm soothing melody. It was one of the few melodies he knew and it was his favorite that he had ever heard, at least so far.

"Better overdressed than doing my cartwheels and flips stark naked," He replied with a grin and a wink, he stood up lavishly, "I am but a simple fool, woe betide he who believes I should not be foppish and foolish!"

Andrea blinked, hearing a soft and soothing music coming from nearby. Her eyes drooped but she shook her head and rubbed her eyes trying to stay awake. She looked in the direction where the music was coming from and saw that Gregor was playing some sort of instrument, and found herself laying down on the ground again. Andrea twitched a bit when Pix mentioned doing cartwheels naked, trying to erase the image from her mind. At his next comment a grin came across her face as her eyes closed, giving Pix a bit of a scratchy laugh. "You're crazy, Pix, bloody..insane..." she started to trail off when she began listening to Gregor's music again, struggling to keep herself awake.

(Sorry for it being so long. I didn't plan on it, I just started writing and it happened.) Gregor listened to Pix's reply, but just shook his head. He closed his eyes and listened to the music he was playing. He let his mind wander as he played and he knew that he would be asleep before long. He thought back to his childhood, to the first time he could remember hearing this melody. He had always heard it coming from a small house on his way to school. He remembered always stopping to listen to it, it had always seemed so calm and inviting. He learned it only a little while before he ran away. It couldn't have been more than a month or two before he left that he finally decided to find where it was coming from. When he knocked on the door the music stopped abruptly and the door was opened. There had stood a thin man with short black hair. The man had asked him what he wanted and he asked about the music he heard telling the man about how he heard it everyday. The man had invited him in and lined along the walls were a variety of instruments. He had looked over every one of them wondering which one of them could have made such a soft calming sound. The man had walked to his back room and came out with a small object in one of his hands. He had told me to take a seat and he sat down himself. After he was comfortable he put the object in his hands to his lips and started to play the melody. He had sat there listening to the man play the song for a long while before he realized he would be late. He thanked the man and told him he had to go. The man had said he could come back any time and he did. Every day from there on he left early in the morning and would stop at the man's house. There he would listen to the man play. It had only been a week or so before he started talking to the man. Soon enough he spent more time talking than he did listening to the music. They chat for a half hour or so before he went off to school everyday and after a few weeks when he showed up the man told him he had a suprise for him. When he came in the man rushed off to the back room and came back with a small box wrapped in brown paper and handed it to Gregor. He took it and studied it for a moment before the man told him to open it. When he did he found the same strange object the man played his music on. He asked the man what it was for. The man smiled at him and went and sat down. He opened a drawer near his seat, pulled out a small book, and stared at it for a moment. When Gregor asked the man what it was he told him it had been his son's. He had been suprised because the man had never talked about having a child before and he had never seen anyone else around. He handed the book to Gregor carefully and he opened it cautiously. Inside there were drawings that seemed to be done by a little kid. He flipped through the pages and there dozens of drawings of instruments, people, and places. He saw one of the object he had just recieved. He handed it back to the man and he put it back in the drawer. He asked the man what happened to his son. The man told him his son had died a few years ago along with his wife. They had both been very sick and he did everything he could to try and help them. He got every doctor he could, but they all told him there wasn't anything they could. A week later his wife had died and all that he had left was his son. He spent every moment he could next to him. Finally one day in the morning his son asked him to play a song, the same song that he played every day, and as his son had listened he smiled and he seemed to relax. When he had finished the song his son died with the same smile on his face. Every day since then he would play that song. The man told him that today would have been his son's birthday. He would have been as old as Gregor was then. The man said this with tears forming in his eyes, but he never cried. He told Gregor he wanted to teach him the same song he played. He then realized that it was time for Gregor to go and so he went to school, but the next day when he came back he brought his instrument with him. The man opened the door with a smile on his face and went and sat down. He told Gregor the instrument was called an ocarina and started to show him how to make the different notes. After only a week Gregor had mastered the song. It had become his favorite and it was still his favorite this day. As he remembered this he felt guilty. He had never said good bye to that man and he regretted it often, but it was too late now. He had looked for him back in town, but his house was empty. He didn't know if he would ever see him again, but he hoped that he would have a chance to apologize. With this thought he finished the song and drifted into sleep.

((Due to being in no mood for a wall of text, I must assume that is is generally pointless and free to ignore. xD ))
"Picks? Why in heavens would we need picks? I had never thought to bring mining tools to a temple," With a wag of his finger to Andrea he went to the now heavily dazed Gregor, and continued his jesting, "Never run when you can march, never march when you can walk, never walk when you can stand, never stand when you can sit, never sit when you can lay and never lay when you can sleep. That is the motto of the lazy man," He mocked the expression of a parent scolding his child.
It's been a while since he could just have fun. "I am the Fool, I know of no picks and am anything but lazy, why would my merry band of travelers not know this?" He gave a bit of a pout, leaning forward with hands on his hips. Such a silly expression.
Hopefully they'd get the hint that they needed to go incognito.

(xD )
Andrea grinned tiredly before opening one of her eyes to see Pix, looking ridiculous. She quickly shut her eye again, holding back a spasim of laughter. "Pfft.." she wraped her arm around her head, both confused as to why Pix was acting this way and wanting to just laugh at him. "Piiixx..!" she complained before rolling over so that her back was to him, not wanting to play this strange game with him.

"Well, does the Fool have any spare costumes for us?" He played along, "I believe I left mine at home." He didn't often wear a disguise, but he did have one, although it wasn't quite like Pix's. "Besides, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't quite fit, standing next to you in your ensemble." Regardless, he wondered what this was all about; did it have some relevance, or was it just plain whimsy?

(Yeah, you could pretty much ignore it, it had no real point, but it did end with Gregor falling asleep so you just wasted your time taunting a sleeping man. Hope that has no relevance over anything.) As Gregor slept he dreamed of a simple life. A life that he knows he could have had, had he not run away as a child. In his dream he was happily married with a couple of kids. He lived in a small cabin somewhat near the town. He only worked a couple of weeks each month, and they were never as bad as he made them out to be with his groining. He travelled selling whatever would fetch him the most money at the time and would usually be home within a few days. He always hated this time away from his family, but he knew that he had to and so he put up with it. He would usually come home with a new toy or two for his kids and a gift for his wife. He knew he was dreaming, but it felt so real, he wanted it to be real so badly that he didn't care. For now he was happy and even though he knew it would end in a little while he let himself dream. It was rare for him to have a good dream and he didn't want to give it up. He hoped no one would wake him knowing that, that was exactly what would happen soon enough.

Kai sat up and frowned. "So... why do we need disguises if whoever we're meeting doesn't know who we are?" Tanner laughed, he was thinking the exact same thing. Maybe there was a greater point to all this then they thought.

"Ah, but tongues wag all the more when encouraged by drink and entertainment!" He was smiling, "A man doesn't freely give his knowledge to a man with a blade, a pretty girl around his arm, alcohol in his belly, and a Fool to amuse him does much to relieve him of any information he might hold." Leaning in close to Kai with a mischievous smile he said, "But I'm just a Fool, what would I know of disguises?"

There are no such things as coincidence.((I must apologize for my absence. My homework was being retarded. And sorry for the short post. My brain is fried, and refuses to think up of something good. xP))
Evacy tried to ignore whatever nonsense Pix was spewing, but found that difficult, especially with his ridiculous getup. "I do sincerely hope that you don't plan on dubbing me the 'pretty girl.' " She told him. There is only hitsuzen
