file sharing is legal, but not if you 'share' copyrighted material

t0paz ConsusLata there are a few sites where you can download songs for a day and then delete them from your computer, but the risk of virus infection is high You are allowed to make one legal copy of any digital media you own, so if you 'store' your one copy on a friends comp then you could prove it to be legal to a certain extent. If you want to guareentee that downloading Kazaa or another one of those programs won't mess with your comp, then first download a trial version of deep freeze.

but do try others besides kazaa. since its the most popular one, a lot of people have fake copies of it, and viruses and the last time I got kazaa it came with a lot of spyware

Anti-virus programs are worth absolute crap. Here is what you do: download free version of Deep Freeze from http://www.faronics.com/html/choose.asp. What it does is once inabled, whenever you restart your computer it erases ALL changes that were made to it. So download deep freeze and the installer for limewire or whatever. then install deep freeze and give it a pass word and reset your computer. install limewire or whatever. download whatever (not that I condone illegal downloading) and then save it to a cd or flash drive. restart computer and if you don't need to download anymore take deepfreeze off. I personally keep it on my computer. I have a 0% chance of getting viruses. anything I make changes to (word documents or whatever) I save to my external hard drive. that way my computer won't mess up (except for hardware failures)

I don't like Nortan at all. Nortan can find a lot of viruses but it can't do crap about most of them besides quaranteen. And Norton doesn't handle spyware.

It is legal, virus free, and you can get a free trial with 100 downloads. It is safe, I have done it twice.
