The Sargeant walked with her to the enterance, where outside, there was a squad of 11 men assembled in full Sandtrooper gear. Most of them carried blaster rifles with a side-arm attached to their belts, but a few carried different weapons-One carrying a couple of Thermal Detonators from his pouch, as well as the grenades forementioned, and had a Rail Charge Launcher equipped to his back. Another carried a Packered Mortar Gun-Obviously both of those men were different rank from the others. As the Sargeant appeared, they all stood at attention. "Alright boys, we're going after an old friend-Alexander Owllance," the sargeant said, gaining more then a few scoffs behind the helmets. "We're to escort this Knight to the hideout location that's been confirmed outside the Krayt Graveyard-We all know the score already, gentleman, so, let's mount up!" The others all saluted, shouting 'Yes Sir,' in unison, and then ran off towards the vehicle facility located on the base.

A bit later, they were all traveling into the distance on a Sandspeeder Barge. The Sargeant had his helmet on now, and was issuing orders through the com inside the helmet. They were almost to the Krayt Graveyard, having traveled for about Four Hours. As they neared their destination, the Sargeant made a hand signal, and the Barge began to slow down. "Alright men," He said through the outter com mic, "This is it-let's get ready. We're a half klick from the target."

~*~*~

Meanwhile-

The Dunes were covered with Sand as the sun beat down on them relentlessly-but it was because of the sand, one mercenary was able to cover himself appropriatly with a tarp, reporting into his friend, "Well well, it went like clockwork-Still, I think that we should've at least let them take a ship or something-I mean, what's the point of you hacking into the Imperial Database on this planet only to show a Sandstorm developing two hours later than it really is supposed to?"

There was a pause, and then a crackly voice came over the mic, "Because I didn't want any of them to end up dying because of the ship crashing. Remember what I said, Alex-No killing. This is strictly a hit-and-run op."

Alex sighed, looking through the scope of his rifle at the Sand Troopers, "Roger that..."

~*~*~

The Sargeant dismounted from the Barge, as well as all the rest of the soldiers save for one, who remained onboard to pilot their barge incase of a quick evac. The Sargeant's Outter Mic come came on, saying to Fina, "In a Cryoban Container on the deck, you'll find a few masks for sandglare and sandstorms-I'd suggest putting one of them on, Ma'am."

Fina followed along toward the vehicle after the trooper had explained things. She guessed they'd all run into Alex before from their reaction. It was a bit obvious. Either they'd run into him before, or they've heard about him. In either case, she guessed it was good that they had experience dealing with this guy before, or else they might actually be in a bit of trouble...

After a while of riding, they'd stopped. As the Sargeant spoke, she'd followed instructions and took the mask from the container and put it on. "Thank you." She said, and then hopped down to the sand. She could definitely feel the presence of another force user nearby, and she guessed she knew who it was. So she started off in the direction of the force user she guessed to be the Jedi from the recording...

As Fina walked forward, a shot rang out from the distance-the blaster bolt landing near her feet.

"That'll be far enough," Someone called from the distance.

"Men, take covering positions around the Knight," The commander barked, and immediatly they fell into line infront of Fina, weapons at the ready.

"Well well," the voice called out, "Good to see you boys again-How long's it been, one, maybe two months?"

"Not long enough in my book, Owllance," The Sargeant shouted growlingly through the outter mic.

"Awww Actarn, and here I was beginning to think you'd missed me," Alex teased as he watched them through the scope.

Fina stopped as the blaster bolt hit near her feet. She hadn't even seen it coming. She looked in the direction the shot came from. She looked to Actarn. "I couldn't even sense that shot coming... It's like there's nothing over there but sand..." She said. It was odd that she couldn't sense it. She looked again in the direction of the shot, even with the troopers in her way, knowing he had to be there, regardless of the fact that she could not sense his presence. "Sargeant, I don't know if it's avoidable, but we don't want to fight just yet."

"So," Alex shouted from the distance, his voice echoing off the dunes perfectly, "Whadda ya here for-And why's there a Jedi with you this time-Have you boys gotten tired of me playing with you?"

"This Knight is here on her own business-we are her escorts. Where is the Jedi who accompanies you," Actarn shouted through the Mic, nodding to Fina in response.

"Him? Eh, he's around here somewhere-But you boys have got bigger things to worry about."

"Oh?" Actarn replied, "And what might that be?" Suddenly, the winds started to slowly pick up-sand beginning to gently cloud the vision of the Dunes and the surrounding area.

"That." And as if on cue, the wind picked up furiously, sand flying everywhere as the forementioned sandstorm struck in all it's ferocity, clouding the scanners and the vision of the soldiers and the Knight. The troopers looked around as their commander shouted orders to them, but only Fina could see for a moment that the sand seemed to part, and a figure with a mask on began moving towards them-and then the figure vanished back into the sand.

Fina looked around as the sandstorm hit them. I should've seen this coming... She had noticed the figure walking toward them, with his mask on. "Sargeant, I want you to find Alex, but don't kill him if it can be helped. If at all possible, just talk him out of fighting... I'll be leaving your side for a moment." She said, and then ran off in the direction that she saw the figure in, grabbing the hilt of her lightsaber and holding it in her right hand, but not igniting it. For the moment, she wasn't using any force powers, but rather focusing on keeping her senses alert for the next attack incase one came at her...

That was a bad move-As soon as Fina had left the side of the troops, screams could be heard as blaster shots rang out. A green blade flowed through the sandstorm, slicing in half the weapons of the nearest trooper-a kick sending him flying into another. Then the blade disappeared, and the troops began firing into the sand aimlessly as their view was clouded. Loud scuffles could be heard over the howling wind, as blaster bolts were fired-and what sounded like electricity crackled through the air-But it wasn't coming from the force, it seemed...

"VINCE," Alex shouted into the com as he broke the helmet of a stormtrooper with his stunglove, "Go on, I got these guys-Don't worry, I won't kill them!" He dropped down as a blaster bolt went tearing past him, hitting one of the troopers behind him and knocking the helmet off, the trooper falling to the ground unconscious.

"Copy that," Vincent said into the mic behind his mask, shooting the visor of one of the Sandtrooper's helmets with his blaster pistol. He then vanished into the storm, keeping himself at a distance from the troops and the Jedi, wondering to himself WHY the imperials had come after him-but then, not really caring, as they were an enemy to him, and to his friend.

Fina continued running for a bit, then she stopped, igniting her lightsaber and turning around to face her persuer. She turned to face the direction of the man who's presence she'd sensed earlier. By now they were a slight distance away from the troopers, but close enough to hear yelling over the storm. Concentrating for a moment, she tried to sense exactly where he was, holding her lightsaber in a defensive position. For now she remained silent. She knew that if another shot came at her, she'd have to concentrate on moving in response to a sudden shot since she couldn't sense the other's presence. That and she now likely had an incapacitated team so it was 2 on 1...

After a moment longer, she started to calmly walk toward the Jedi again...

Vincent moved around towards the Jedi-Circling her, keeping his saber down until the moment he would strike. He didn't want her to expect his presence-he didn't like fights to carry on longer than they had to. He moved closer and closer, and suddenly, she was right infront of him-as he'd seen in his vision-The sand swirling around her. He crouched into stance, appearing infront of her, and lunged, igniting his saber as he sprung at her.

Fina merely kept his presence known. She turned to face his direction as he moved around, watching him and waiting for what was to come. As soon as he moved forward to lunge at her, she raised her left hand, concentrating on the force and attempting to shove him back into the sand. She didn't really want to use her lightsaber if she could help it, but it didn't seem like he was going to listen. She kept her lightsaber held ready for if the push didn't work, and brought it up, ready to block whatever attack was coming...

Tantis watched as Sven was dealing with these matters, he carried them out with years of experience. Something that Tantis highly respected him for. But for some reason Tantis felt unsure about this journey, he felt like they were heading into some type of trap either now or sometime in the neer future. "The force is always at work." He quoted to himself. I will have to keep close watch on things, untill I spring this trap.

Vincent raised his hand up in an instant, focusing the force into an invisible shield that absorbed the blow, his lunge connecting with her lightsaber, pushing it aside with his left hand as he turned, drawing his pistol that was tucked into the front of his pants, and aiming it at her-"Why did you come here-What is it you want?"

As her blade was pushed away, Fina merely focused on the force to turn her blade around in her hand, swinging it in an arc to come up on the gun as it was drawn and cut the barrel off of it in attempt to disable it. Regardless of whether this would happen or not, the blade would continue up and around so she could bring it back down to clash with Vincent's own blade. "I came here to talk to you. They just came as an escort..." She said, keeping a clear head even while fighting. If time allowed she'd even continue talking, but wouldn't sacrifice speaking for acting to defend herself. "I didn't come to fight."
PostPosted: Thu Apr 05, 2007 2:38 pm

Vincent whirled the gun on his finger, the barrel narrowly avoiding being cut in half as the blade swung past the handle of the gun in turning. "I'm not interested in joining you-If that's what you're thinking," he said as he found an opening in her defense, throwing a backspin with his right foot towards her head as he used his left to keep himself steady, "Especially not the Imperials!"

Fina merely brought her free left hand up infront of her, holding it just below her eyes so she could see over her arm, watching him through the mask. Focusing on the force, she attempted a more controlled force push toward his leg while still holding her hand between his foot and her head in attempt to block it with the palm of her hand. "I just said I wanted to talk..." She started, frowning slightly behind the mask. "... But you seem more interested in fighting." She finished, moving back and readying her saber to block whatever shots he had to throw at her with the gun....
