Notquitesane I play Flute! My flute is my baby! There are only two flutes in my band. The other besides me is a cool Korean girl who hates green for some odd reason. The band director wears green a lot just to bug her. :p We've actually gotten most of the band to start calling her greeney. ^_^ I'm korean too! 3nodding xd

RinoaHeartilly Me and my friend Jessie were trying to play our flutes while holding them to our left before xd It hurt out wrist, but we could play quite well. 3nodding Oh, Jenny and i did that last week! It is rather difficult, but it's so much fun!

Ergh. I hate conflicts. This is what I have planned for this upcoming Friday.
At 8:15 in the morning I get to go to the college for Wind Fest (we play at 9) then I have to get shuttled to an elementary to perform a short play for my drama class. As soon as that's over I'm supposed hop on a bus and go play at a game because our basketball girls went to state. Somehow I'm also supposed to sell concessions for the school musical, and I might possibly have rehersal for a performance that I'm in.
In short, Friday is going to suck.

Tomorrow, if there's school, we're getting fitted for our band uniforms. I'm sort of excited. Except I'm going to be trying to lose alot of weight between now and when football season starts so if I do accomplish that then I'm going to feel bad when I have to get a new uniform because I'm all thin and sexy.

It is rather difficult, but it's so much fun! I used to do that all the time, until up to a couple years ago! I got so good at it too. It's not that hard, and it doesn't hurt me at all! About the above green thing, it's one of my most favorite colors!

I got into first flute in band re-auditions for the year. heart
Meh, it's not that hard, but I wasn't really expecting it. xd I was hoping to, but didn't think I'd make it.

Is it just my section, or do the other flute sections of the world not practice when told to? We attempt to sleep. It's like, the Way of the Flute Section or something...

Holy crap. I'm so glad I have rehersal as an excuse to get out of this. Tomorrow we're supposed to hop on a bus to go on a three hour drive to Tacoma for our girls basketball team's trip to state. We'd leave at 3:30, and wouldn't come back 'til 1:30 the next morning. Then we'd be expected to go to school on time as usual, and do it again the next night (thankfully we're not doing it the second night) with a competition on Friday.
Also, for our play (It's a musical) I'm in the band which plays in the finale. The choir instructor (against the composer/BD's wishes) decided she'd add fermatas of death into the middle of some of our phrases. What's worse is we don't get a conductor for the performance. The three flutes want to go on strike.
