MasturChef Gone for most of the day and I miss all the good stuff gonk So now Chef has uncharacteristically overslept (which I was planning anyway). Still deciding on Terra. Might give her another freaky dream that either alludes to her soul sister or the fact that she does indeed has powers and used them just yesterday. Terra and Seren so need to bond over the doubt of power's and the weirdness going on.

I think at some point Aylin's going to make Kai apologize for blurting out things like he did and I know she needs to repeat her apologies to Chef and better talk to him about the heavy stuff she slammed him with the night before.

Terra and Seren so need to bond over the doubt of power's and the weirdness going on. Oh, absolutely. I think I'll keep Terra doubtful for a bit longer. She still has no memory of using her powers, and it's not like she can just unlock them whenever like Lunette, for example. Her powers only awakened when she was under extreme duress.

Also Chibi and Chef, I purposefully made Alice not want to get back at Chef from that scene where he laughed at her just to emphasise Cheeb's idea of how serious things are going on. :]

Accio Alice Well, time to update my character information.
Also Chibi and Chef, I purposefully made Alice not want to get back at Chef from that scene where he laughed at her just to emphasise Cheeb's idea of how serious things are going on. :] I'm working on having Aylin's very own body lighten the mood of the situation slightly. She hasn't eaten breakfast yet so her stomach is going to make a loud sound to signal it's time to eat. I don't want to go completely goofy but it shouldn't be all serious all the time. So Aylin will reach out and indicate that it's time to get food. Also, just to get a good idea of time it's likely between 6 and 6:30 in the morning right now. I'm putting sunrise at around 5:50 am. That still lets Caelen be up at half past five in the morning.

I'm wondering if I need to put up more character information about Charm. I don't have a lot on her but I didn't anticipate using her as much as I have. Plus, it's a tad more fun just to improv as I go.
However, if anything is confusing about her character, please let me know and I'll try to work out a better character sheet for her than just what's on OC!Hydro's.

And heck if you asked me to play Aylin's parents or siblings I wouldn't know where to begin. xp

Okay so I know you want to do that whole soul sharing (too lazy to see if that's the right name at the moment) deal and I mentioned how it would feel similar to the Joining Day ceremony, which is "weddings" for Aylin's clan. I was kind of half joking half talking with Hydro about the whole thing about how when we finally do this after a while Aylin realizes why the whole thing feels familiar and pulls away from it before it's over with. Caelen should, by that point, have gained enough from the procedure to get what he needs out of it. I don't know what breaking the procedure before it's finished would do to Caelen but as I was joking around Aylin, much to Cae's confusion, would start rambling on about how she didn't want to get married again to Caelen. The reason she'd break it off would be because of Caelen's devotion to Cel. She knows they're practically married even if they haven't made the public commitment to each other and it wouldn't be right for her to be married to Caelen by the traditions of her clan.
So Aylin would end up being all. "No no no I can't get accidentally married again, not to you. I know I always say Barton town is the best darn place to "fake" a wedding but I didn't think it would almost happen again. I can't do that to your wife." Because I got to thinking if Aylin pulls out early for that reason it would be a good way for her to try to get Caelen to see that as far as she's concerned he and Cel are husband and wife and that it doesn't take a human wedding ceremony for them to be partners for life. She'll also try and get him to realize that marriage isn't just the perfect little home with the perfect family running around and that what he and Cel have is pretty much akin to being married. And if Charm happens to be in earshot of where they're doing the procedure, oh boy, she'll never let them live it down.
However, I don't want to go ahead with this idea if you think it wouldn't let things go the way you plan the soul sharing (Or whatever you were calling it because I plum forgot) to go.

Something to consider... Is Barton High School even going to be open on this third day?
Also, my current avi is how I envision Aeris (Terra's "sister") as a schoolgirl. I'm hoping to bring her into the rp soon.

I would guess no to the school question because two attacks in a row, plus the whole tremor thing would probably be enough to have them say just cancel for the next week. That would lend itself to some training time for the scouts so they can finally leave the Manor on their own. And in any case, I would think the town council would have a huge impact on a decision like that, and so far they seem to be cowards that jump to conclusions. In my mind nothing in the square will even be open. Not sure if anyone else had that thought, but it makes sense in my mind.

Welp, now that I've had the chance to think things over, for the most part things will go as you have been planning, with a minor adjustment. By my mental logic, I think Caelen would begin to sense Aylin's sudden anxiety and fear once she began to realize how close the Soul Sharing is to her people's concept of a marriage, so he wouldn't be terribly surprised at her sudden disconnection. However, he will allow her to explain why she does that, and then try to comfort her to a degree. I do want Cae to point out one misconception Aylin has about his relationship with Cel, but that'll be small potatoes compared to actually getting through the emotional exchange. Oh, this is just side stuff, but I thought it over and decided that I won't have Cel confront Aylin over the previous night. In thinking things through, I realized that Cel isn't one to rashly jump into a defensive barrage over one incident. So this time she's just going to let it slide, but she won't forget and she will be keeping a close eye on interactions between Aylin and Cae.

At the very least I can see schools being closed to protect the children of Barton. But I dunno about the rest of the town. On the one hand, having everyone still in town but most of the town closed is odd. But on the other hand, evacuating the town plays right into Dark Vortex's plan. And some of the hardliners on the council have a bit of stubbornness about them in that they won't surrender to whatever is attacking them. They just incorrectly assume that since it's dark energy that a being who happens to use dark energy will only make matters worse. And of coursr they don't want to instill panic in the citizens.
