Merrick smiled faintly, tilting his head fractionally. "Enjoy yourselves, eh?" he said idly to Cassandra and Lorcan, having sensed the slight burst of energy with Lorcan's high speed movement.

Kasumi grinned, amused.

Lorcán chuckled. "I think I have a quick way to do that," he said as the air rippled around them before they apparently materialized in front of a laden table of food. He knew this high speed movement, Hirenkyaku, was somewhat disorienting the first time.

Jess blinked as she noticed the beautiful redhead and the man with dark brown hair and ringed irises behind the other redheaded woman with Merida; she thought the woman's name was 'Kasumi', but wasn't sure.

Cassandra held onto Lorcan's arm tightly as she got her bearings. She hadn't expected him to do that, and now she was a little dizzy. When her head cleared she shook her head a little. She smiled at Merrick and Constance when he spoke to them, and she turned to look at them. "We did, thank you. The stream was nice." She blew a strand of hair from her face. With a smile she picked up a little cake and ate it. "Hmm, delicious."Constance chuckled softly when Cassandra spoke. She had looked a little disoriented at first, but now she seemed okay. It must have been the way the two of them arrived in front of the table. One second they weren't there, the next they were. Some form of fast travel obviously. "Ah, nice of you to join us," Amelia said with a smile in Lorcan's and Cassandra's direction. "And in time too. Merrick said he had a surprise for everyone."

Merrick noticed most of the others were either finishing their food or done completely. A faint smile flickered over his face as he had an idea that would startle most of the goodbeasts of the Abbey, though he restrained himself from doing it as he suspected seeing it would likely kill some of the older goodbeasts from shock as he stood fluidily. "I think it'd be easier to do outside, though I can do it inside just as easily," he said thoughtfully, backing away from the table.

Kasumi tilted her head, her eyes widening only fractionally as she recognized Lorcan's ocular talent as the Rinnegan, though it was clearly still growing in strength and skill. She knew the Eien no Mangekyō Sharingan, which she had though she doubted Merrick had, could transform into the latter.

Lorcán smiled faintly as he shifted to settle down at the table next to a haremaid in a small wheelchair.

Jess tilted her head as Merrick stood and backed away from the table.

Kaosujin Ryu sorry...needed a lunch break Cassandra sat down next to Lorcan, watching as Merrick and Constance stood up. Her head tilted to the side as she watched them. She wondered what Merrick was up to. And if Constance knew what it was. When she caught the younger woman's eye and raised an eyebrow, Constance just shrugged. "Maybe here," Amelia said to Merrick. " After all Lorcan and Cassandra have just arrived. I am sure they are hungry." As if to prove her point, Cassandra's stomach rumbled slightly. "Hmm, there you have it."Constance sat back down in her seat as she watched Merrick expectantly.

Merrick tilted his head, not at all bothered by the fact. "That's fine with me,"he said with amusement as he shifted, sitting on a nearby stool with one hand behind his back and the other arm resting across his thighs with his elbow just to the outside of his right thigh.

Lorcán cocked his head, watching Nala from the corner of his eye and knowing Amelia was using the feline familiar's eyes as her own. He chuckled softly at Cassandra's stomach growling before his own did the same.

Constance smiled as Merrick appeared on a nearby stool. She knew that couldn't possibly be it. She pulled her hair back and a hair tie appeared around it, keeping it up. Cassandra pulled a plate towards her and began to fill it with food. She was petite, but she could pack away some food. Her plate was piled high and she looked over to see Merida staring at her. "What?" She asked innocently. "I am hungry."Merida snorted. "I see that."

"It's a good thing that I try to eat small meals throughout the day, otherwise, if Merida saw me eating my 'usual'... she'd faint," he sighed idly. He was only half joking, since he tended to eat 3,500 calories a day at minimum. -_-_-_-_-_-

Constance's head tilted to the side as she watched Merrick. He held a beautiful guitar. Was he going to play for them? She smiled a little. She remembered when he had first come to the Dark Coven home. He was so quiet, but when he sang...it was beautiful. She watched him, her elbow on the table and her chin resting in the palm of her hand. Cassandra laughed as she took a bite from the food. "Well I usually don't let myself do this. But...I am very hungry at the moment." She absentmindedly watched Merrick as he made a guitar appear in his hand. It was a nice piece.

Merrick shifted the guitar to rest on one thigh as his fingers shifted on the strings. His voice was low, but held a deep, strong passion since he spoke from experience.

He shivered ever so slightly, since the lyrics definitely fit all of them. -_-_-_-_-_- Jess shuddered, her eyes closing as she listened.

Constance closed her eyes as she listened to Merrick sing. She loved to hear his voice. It gave her goosebumps and a small smile appeared on her face. When he finished she opened her eyes, staring at him. She could feel his determination, his protectiveness. Cassandra had stopped eating as soon as Merrick began to sing. She blinked when he finished, shaking her head. It was a captivating song. She liked it. She saw Lorcan shiver and her head tilted to the side. She had to admit the song seemed to fit all of them in some way. "Very nice," Merida murmured. She had only heard him sing when he had first arrived at her place.

Merrick chuckled, his eyes meeting Constance's for a moment as he chose a different tune.

Constance smiled shyly, a blush creeping onto her cheeks. Those lyrics meant everything to her. She knew how much he loved her, and now he was letting everyone else know. Her eyes went back to his and she smiled at him lovingly, not caring who else was there with them. Cassandra smiled at the two of them. It was great that they loved each other so much, and for Merrick to sing that in front of everyone. As he had been singing, she had finished her plate. She pushed it away, done for now.
"Now that was beautiful," Amelia said softly as she sat back slightly in her seat.

Merrick tilted his head slightly, noticing Constance's shy smile. To him it was shy, yet at the same time seductive and beguiling. A slight shiver shot down his spine as, unconsciously, his vulpine fox tail materialized, waving slowly as if in contentment. Saro chuckled deep in her throat as she leaned over to Constance. "Damn, you got a hell of a mate there... I know more than a few of the females, during the seasons he was here... were very interested in him," she said, not mentioning that she had been one of them herself.

Kasumi tilted her head, noticing how several of the people were nodding as if they liked it or knew the emotions behind the lyrics.

Lorcán tilted his head close to Cassandra's. "You know that applies to you as well," he said quietly.

Jess exhaled slowly, shivering still. She saw Saro lean close to Constance and murmur something she didn't catch.

Constance looked over at Saro and smiled as she nodded. "Yes, I am very lucky to have him." She pushed her hair behind her ear. "You know, I never thought I would find someone to call my own. When Merrick came along...it was like I finally found the other part of myself. Like I was finally complete."Cassandra turned her gaze to Lorcan and smiled gently at him. She placed her hand over his and squeezed it gently. "The same goes for you, Lorcan. Except the the whole girl thing. Just replace that word with boy." Her eyes twinkled. "You are my soul mate, you always will be."

Saro grinned. "I've heard similar things, though I haven't found a good mate yet... I've found close friends like Brag and Merrick, though," she said with amusement, though she blinked upon noticing his vulpine fox tail. Merrick cocked his head as he noticed her surprised look. Martha looked somewhat surprised as well. He noticed several of the Redwallers looking amused, if a bit wary.

Kasumi shrugged as she saw the reactions to the other Redwallers' reactions to her son. "Our kind have the ability to shift forms. In our case, usually between three forms: human, vulpine, and full beast," she said quietly to Brag, who looked more interested than wary. Merrick could be seen as an example of the first, while she was an example of the second. The last was rarely used among Kitsune, unless they were extremely angry or upset.

Lorcán shifted his hand and lightly squeezed back. He blinked, his ringed irises shifting back to their normal shimmering amber-gold color. "You'd be surprised how much I care about you," he said with amusement.
