It's not really much explained in the 2003 anime, but in Brotherhood, the energy used for transmutations comes from the movement of plates deep within the planet's crust while those who use Alkahestry use the 'Dragon's Pulse'.
Of course it's shown in Conqueror of Shamballa that Ed couldn't perform alchemy while he was in the 'real world'.

For Youmu I was thinking Yuyuko, but none of her death abilities, mostly because it's very powerful and she never uses this power anyway x3 I'd have her mostly using ghosts and butterflies, like in UNL (AKA, the video you showed me to earlier)
For Orin I was thinking Utsuho using attacks like she had in UNL like her beam or her flying~
And For Yuuka I was thinking Elly or Medicine Melancholy, but I think I'll go with Elly, since she uses a boomerang scythe and a mirror wall thingy and Medicine pretty much just uses poison and slowing cloud thingys rofl

I've watched playthroughs up to Shoot the Bullet (good lord does that one look kind of tedious... eek ) and I've just started Mountain of Faith. My only issue is that the fandom seems to respect pretty damn well ZUN's request to not post ending sequence material online, surprisingly. Or maybe I just suck at researching.

Let me see if I understood right. You mean, giving a main character from one canon a support character from a completely different canon? Just saying as an example here...like, putting in Alice Margatroid as a main and giving her Kanaria as a support? It sounds confusing, but it's allowed and I'm interested in seeing how you'd make it work. surprised

What kind of non-battling action do you mean? If you're going to have them converse a lot with the main characters and have them travel with a party, I think you might as well make them a main character instead.

All right, let's say he has a couple of them, just to keep things moving. He does know a guy, after all...
Yeah, but we have a ton of those. I was just curious, really, so I think I'll keep Vash as a support. He does tend to wander off a lot, so that works perfectly! He'll probably just show up, help solve whatever problem's going on, then quietly (or Vashly) leave. It's a bit like an episode of Trigun, actually. Incidentally, how goes the support system development?

All right. Since it's on the thread now, expect a profile, but definitely not some sort of Spanish Inquisition. I like how you put "attacks" instead of something like "artes", by the way. That's good crossover etiquette! However, I think there should be a miscellaneous "Extra Notes" section, and maybe an admin-only (you!) section for anything that you might need to know.

I mean...he hasn't posted either IC or OOC since December, he hasn't replied to my PM, and it seems he can't be flagged down by quoting... I'm kind of sad to say this, but with the possibility that any prospective Sheena players might not take to the ideas Rei left behind (the tweaking xe did with Verius) or want to read through the past interactions, I'm beginning to think we may need to retcon out what happened with her so that the next person to take her up can bring her in with no mess to sort out. Would you be okay with that?

I'm not entirely sure myself. I'd say to go ahead and post, but let's see what the others in that particular group think.
As for Yuu, it's been months. I would advise moving on. I have a feeling that he'll turn up at some point, so it would be nice if there was a way to do so without ignoring his stuff... But that might not be possible.

Alright, that resolves the issues with Sheena, so anyone who wants to pick her up someday can do so smoothly.
As for Yuu, I've finally gotten a response from him. He's maaaaaaajor busy with no time to even make an exit post, so here are the things he gave the okay to assume:

I think the first option would be better. It's probably best to keep the retconning to a minimum. That would get rid of a good chunk of our peeps' introductions, yes? ...Except a certain priest is still around. I'm not sure if adding random NPCs is even kosher here. It was a whim that I actually kind of regret. Anyway, I'd go with the message! It can just be considered a part of the background information for the next person (if any) to pick up Genis. Heck, since they weren't together that long, the next person wouldn't even have to remember much about our people.
...I sure have been quoting you a lot lately, huh? I'm sorry, I just check Guilds so often! *flails around* Azura obtained the title of "Double Mark Twain"! "Taking being quoted beyond the impossible."
Well....I guess I can have Lloyd and Hope head for Triet, and then when the right amount of time passes, re-post as them. I'll have to talk to Yuu to see if it's okay if I have a little ghosting permission to have Yuu leave the group.
