Romero tilted his head sideways to watch, unable to keep himself from feeling some amusement. His country’s relative lack of dealings with Indus’ certainly showed in this awkward exchange. To give the Asian nation the benefit of the doubt, he delayed his response for a few seconds before answering, “No es un gran problema, amigo.” He smiled at India before returning to his work.

Romero kept working at his own slower pace on taking down the notes. He had no idea how Indus could write so fast or even predict the other notes the teacher wrote down as he spoke, but he certainly wished he could borrow some of that speed. Especially since the subject was Syria, a region he wasn’t well-informed on.

Freshman Although Charlotte had gone back to her seat, she ended up watching a display of her fellow classmates and family that it all felt as if it were a scene from a comedy/drama skit. She sighed and drank her Mt.Dew, completely missing the bell. Next thing she knew the senior class had already entered the room and started class. Talk about embarrassing! The little state grabbed her things quickly, chugging the remains of the beverage before throwing it into the recycling bin and rushed out. Of course not before accidentally bumping into a student. "I'm sorry!" Charlotte turned and apologized before running off again. Oddly enough, her features resembled similar to a certain Hungarian, except she had a blue ribbon instead of a flower, and was much younger, and obviously American. (Out of Cheerwine and Pepsi: )
Southern Slang Dictionary: everyone is called 'darling',
"yall" is a proper noun,
sweet tea is the house wine,
and you never EVER disrespect your elders...

Romero finished his Syria notes and began packing up. By now, he had learned not to expect many people from his year to show up in the same room at the same time, but three students was dismal. He didn't feel like eating in the cafeteria today--perhaps somewhere more private, like his dorm, would suffice. Although he wasn't very much worried about Luis, Romero was worried about Elpis. After all, she had already been attacked once, and that strange voice he'd heard in the morning seemed to be targeting her as well. Not only that, she looked so radically different from the other nations that she might very will get abducted. To Romero, it seemed logical that she should have returned to his dorm.
When he finished cleaning up, Venezuela turned to India and gave him a crisp, two-fingered salute. "Me voy," he told his Asian friend. "Adios." With that, he left.
