Ok, so maybe Lux isn't totally useless after you get to the players-who-can-dodge-skillshots tier. It's hard to land a snare in the laning phase 'cause your opponents are like 'oh s**t it's lux NEVER STOP MOVING', but when you're the person someone being chased is running to, in a 5v5 stalemate on a turret, getting charged at by an Udyr that just came outta the bush, or poking away with the rest of her team before a teamfight, she can snare like nobody's business. And if I rush a Haunting Guise and RoA, no one bothers to focus me because even if they can reach me I've got a huge health bar. I don't think I took over a bar's worth of damage for the entire game after the laning phase was over, and it wasn't for lack of sticking with my team. Even though I don't need the HP, it's definitely better than my old glass-cannon build if only because it's a visual deterrent from even trying to get close to me when the deliciously squishy Yi (who was a badass, btw) is that much easier to reach.
I'm still in the support mentality with her, though. I find myself letting a lot of kills go in order to feed the carry. I guess that's not a bad thing. Her kit is pretty decent without too many fancy items and 55 flat MPen is nothing to sneeze at.

Use this (or its counterpart with no black), a pair of horns, and a bald head wig or hairstyle instead of what you have now for the mask. biggrin If you need something that turns the rest of your head white, I can lend you my Masterpieces, but you might have trouble with the eyes.

This was the most exciting game I've played in a while.
Teammates kept running off and getting ganked due to their shitty map awareness. There was seriously a time when I CVed a gank not even ten seconds before Malzahar decided to go promenading through the bushes they were all waiting in. Only 2 of them spoke English. I secured the Barons, I 2HKOed the TFs, I stopped the Singeds from flinging my squishies, I backdoored a ******** Nexus turret with my Lichbane. This is the first Rift game I can truly say I carried, and I carried the <******** out of it.
Despite dying 6 times as someone who should generally never be touched if played well, I'm really proud of my score. I don't think a 3:1 KDA (not counting the last death to TF, since that was a successful distraction for the minions to finish their Nexus) is too bad for going up against two position manipulators, one with a Banshee's. THIS ONE TIME HIS VEIL CAME UP RIGHT WHEN MY SNARE CAME OFF COOLDOWN QQ OMFG
I still miss a lot of skillshots, though. I was scary enough to burst down their DPSes in two hits now, I'll be downright terrifying with a little more practice.
