There's also a requirement for post number. Have you met that? If so, you should be sorted next term. I kind of like the pre-sorting requirements. In my opinion, they sort of weed out the people who are only going to be around for a few weeks, reducing muddling and inflation of house lists. Your two cents are valid ones, and I'm not trying to pick on you or belittle you because you put them up or anything. Just remember that a different guild has different rules, and usually has a reason for those rules. 3nodding

IceeWitch Well that could be one part. The slumber party could be the main thread, but what about for the non artists? I like the artist one though. Have 3 categories (to enter send X sum) the winner in each category gets a donation. So now we only need something for the nonartists like myself We might be able to make the entire thing sort of 'artsy'. Fanart contests (or just regular art contests) for the serious artistic sorts, and then a "scribble gallery" for those who open a basic paint program just to draw random lines or a stick-figure house. You really don't need much in the way of art talent to do that. Comments open for all of them in the thread, and perhaps a temporary photobucket account open to all users who don't have access to one of their own.

I'm not very artistic myself, but I posted the art idea anyway you have completed it, Alutian! xd

ixluvxzakuro There is only one thing about this guild that I do not like, and that is that I've been in it for at least three months and I still haven't been sorted. In Hogwarts, A History, you're immediately sorted as soon as you join. I'm not trying to be rude or anything, just giving my thoughts. The two of us above are Captain and I'm Vice Captain. I'm sorry that you feel this way, but it keeps the guild more organized. I sort of like the guild the way it has been running. I mean, I'm a part of the Hogwarts, A History Guild too, but honestly, it lacks organization. I respect your thoughts and understand your frustration, but please hang in there.

People could write a short story (one-shot) or we could give them a challenge to write about. Then it could be judged by a panel of selected judges or the students themselves. I think it could work.

What if we saved the writing for a later event? Art this term, writing the next. Or vice-versa if more people would rather do the writing this term.

The fanworks contest is kinda neat. I would think we'd need to do both as some people are more writers than artists... however, separating them would give us an alternate event for later on, as well. Of course, that depends if we want to do two similar events in a row like that.

You read the Guild Homepage and it told about being an elf. That's how we do things. There could only be a few reasons as to why you haven't been sorted. 1) You haven't met the requirements, or 2) You didn't post your test answers when you were supposed to. Not to be rude or anything these are two different guilds.

I agree with Animekitty's answer about Alutian's reply. It fixes all the tweaks!
However, since I for one can't even use that, let's do them both. One thread for the art, and the other for the fanfic. There will have to be small fees for each one, so that the winner will get a good enough prize. So it'll be a Creativity end of the year event, complete with a slumber party! PS..thx for everyone's help and input!
(Is it just me or does Hogwarts, a History look a lot like HPGoG's frontpage?) if it's what i suspect (I PMed Angil) we'll be reporting

*psst* Most of you should know, most of our mods are gone. Well we have a pretty good idea, of who will be the new Heads and whatnot. I think though (esp. with KT's absence) besides Head Boy and Girl, we'll be having Deputy Heads of Houses. I think the prefect system will still be there, but we'll definetly be using the Deputy Heads. Or maybe there'll be Prefect 1 and Prefect 2. Prefect 1 having more authority than Prefect 2. That way, when the Head leaves or goes on an absence, someone with 2nd authority will be easily found.

So we'll have an art section and a writing section. Okay. I still would like to see an informal scribble gallery...perhaps two. One for little bits of art and the other for little bits of writing. These don't have to be HP-based, I think...little poems on nothing in particular, or a little drawing of a squirrel done in school... As for judging, if I could, I'd like to judge something in writing...
