heart Wow, people still exist! Hi everyone!!! I'm graduating college in May and moving out of my parents house finally. They're still batshit insane but TWO MORE MONTHS and i am out. How's everyone else doing?
wooo hoooo
congrats on a new chapter in your life
Thanks! I'm really excited. My boyfriend and I are going to move to Tallahassee we think.
$300? That's a lot, you know a private vet will cost way more than like a public animal organization right? Like an SPCA or something. I googled it and you can get a cat neutered for $35 in California. Check this out http://www.animalliberationfront.com/Practical/Pets/FreeNeuterByState.htm Good luck!

you?
Me too. I have this neuroscience project due Monday morning and it's driving me crazy. I have to mimic Alzheimer's with a computer software (extremely high influx of calcium into the cell, leading to a ******** of glutamate which tells your cells to do s**t constantly, tires them out, and kills them, leading to dementia and stuff from loss of cell function) and then find a fictional drug to treat it and mimic that and like make a huge project out of it. Oh.

I'm aware that it's more expensive than usual. I have two other male cats and I neutered both of them at the same time for less than $100.
His surgery is not as simple because one of his testicles never descended, so he needs an operation that involves going into his abdomen and removing the one that never dropped.
$300 is the cheapest quote I received after calling several vets in my area.
Thank you for taking the time to try to help me, though.

Did you call the SPCA and ask though? We had that problem with one of our dogs and they still did it, and it definitely wasn't that much. Either way it's a surgery, there might be a place other than private vets that would do it. Are you having any luck raising funds though?

The SPCA here is referred to as a humane society, and they will not do it for a low price. It is also not an option for me because it would require registering my cat with the county and having him microchipped. I have more than the legal number of pets and cannot let them know that I have an extra cat.
No, I have had not luck raising any funds.

I just lost my job or I would have donated to it already. Did the vet say it's a necessary procedure? For his well-being, or is it just that it would be a little better if it's done? You should save a few dollars a day in a jar until you have enough =)
