shopping for a car is obnoxious
I'm trying not to be picky, but it's hard not to be when I'm spending so much money on a vehicle that needs to last with for at least the next ten years.

Colon bracket, don't let those salespeople push you around -- go car shopping with a plan in mind as you visit each dealership. Don't let the salesperson take your car keys, keep them in your hand. Do actual car research on the internet & on Consumer Reports...only test-drive when you're down to your final picks. 3nodding

I've been browsing cars online while I wait for my godmother to have a day off so she can go with me, haha. She's a total badass when it comes to buying cars. Thanks for your input, though. I need to remind myself that they can't push me around. They need my money, not the other way around. :]

colon bracket Dr. OCD I'm recovering from surgery, so I won't be around much. Be cool. Don't kill each other. Don't burn down the guild. heart Be well! heart heart heart heart heart heart heart Thank you. Update: I am feeling much better than I did the first couple days of recovery. I have a compression vest on to keep bandages and stitches tight and I have two drains coming out of either side of my abdomen that have to be emptied twice daily. I'm really, really sore but I'm okay. The only pain I'm in is from lying in bed for four days. Sometimes I accidentally move my arms too much and hurt my chest, but not too often. I have my check-up on Tuesday and they will probably remove the compression vest and drains. The surgeon said that this has probably been his best surgery and I won't have any dog ears (skin flaps on the sides) or puckering in the front (both are very common for transmen). I spend most of my day lying in bed -- though I'm trying to get up more now that I have more energy because my tailbone is killing me and my back is getting really achey. I won't be back to daily activities until at least 3 weeks post-op, so I've still got a long way to go.

If you're curious as to how my doctor appointment went today where I got my drains taken out (I had top surgery a week ago) you can read about it on my blog.

I'm really happy for you, Mark! I followed that Tumblr, but keep bringing us updates! Other than that nursebitch, this sounds like a pretty good experience?

Hey all! I apologize for my inactivity, but school was kicking my a** as well as my new job. And also, lady keeps me busy all the time. xD
Mark!!!! Congrats! I'm so glad everything went so well, and that you are recovering. I got a bit nauseous when I saw the picture of the tube assembly. Those things are long! D8 [/terrified]

Latest update: My surgeon thought I had some built-up fluid in my chest because I felt something sloshing around. I went in this morning and he said that there is no fluid and that it's just the nerve endings coming back (he was a little confused himself).
